My Ryobi 3100PSI Pressure Washer work Honda Engine & Idle Down was bought for about $379.99 past Summer and used once. Stored for the Winter but i never winterized it and left gas over the winter. Now, June 7th, i changed out gas and oil but it's still shaking violently and only ran by switching it back and forth to choke/run/choke/run etc but wouldn't run longer than a couple seconds in either mode. Watched your video, followed instructions step by step and it started the second pull ... Hasn't shut off for minutes in Run!! This just made me feel so good .. I've never done anything like this and I'm not mechanically inclined and my dad never taught me much so I'm actually proud of myself for once! Thanks for your video, I'll sleep good tonight!
I'm in exact same situation but mine won't start at all, I bought this thing in April and used once, home depot told me I'm S.O.L I'm gonna try calling ryobi and see what they say before I start wrenching on this brand fucking new P.O.S I drained the gas before I stored for the summer...
I know exactly how you feel. I do work on small engines a lot myself, but there's always something new. Most of my work is just in cleaning carbs for units that simply won't start, but I'm getting more into the fine-tuning stuff now like engines that surge and those that will only run on half-choke. All the best in fixing your own equipment. I get the biggest kick out of doing that myself.
After I paid $100.00 to fix this problem I came across this video and this video is what I needed to watch!! But you know what, next time I won't be paying it again!😊😊😊thank sir for this very, very explained video. God bless you and your family!!
RUclips has pretty much everything you need for DIY from HVAC to engines. I've saved thousands through the years, it's gotta be one advanced issue for me to call a professional
Thank you so much for this video. I bought the exact same model around 2018. I've only used it 3 times. Life gets busy and i forgot to put stabilizer in the tank. I tried starting it for about 30 minutes. Jumped on RUclips and found your video. After cleaning all the varnash and junk out of the carburetor, I put it back together. Pulled the cord and started right up. You probably saved me 50 bucks easily. Thank you!!
I had bought a used ryobi 3000 psi pressure washer and was mad when I got home because it would only run on choke, I found your video, did everything you did step by step, it started on the first pill and when I put it on run it didn't stop, used all heads on wand and it works great!!! Thank you for your video! Great job!!!
AMAZING video!! I was about to trash my pressure washer and buy a new one. I kept searching and searching for videos and came up across your video. I followed it step by step and took my time. I had a different brand but the engine was the same Honda engine. Now, the pressure washer starts with just one-pull! AMAZING!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
After 2 years in storage, the pressure washer was completely dead. I followed your directions to a T. At the step where you mentioned that dirt the size of a grain of salt could cause a problem, I actually poked out a grain of something; it was white! :-). After I put everything back together, the engine started on the third pull. Thank you!!!!!
I have a Honda GCV 190 that was given to me by my in-laws. It would only run on half choke, so I took the carb off and cleaned the jets (main jet, emulsion tube, etc.). Like you, I could not get the pilot jet screw out, so I cleaned everything else and put it back together. It still did the same thing (only run on half-choke), so I opened it up again. That bad boy was locked in. I ended up stripping the phillips head on the thing. And I couldn't get vice grips on it (at least to turn it). So... I ended up getting out my Dremel tool and cutting a flat head slot into the screw. With that and a drill, I was able to get it out. I cleaned the jet with wire and carb cleaner and it now runs when the choke is open. Thanks so for the vid. I'll definitely file this one for the future. Have an awesome day!
I just went to pressure wash my deck, she wouldn't start after sitting up. The carb was my last guess. Saw this video after never taking one apart. She started right up. I forgot to tighten that bowl nut and fuel went everywhere. Fixed it, she works perfectly. Thank you!
I followed this video, step,by step, set my iPad up in my tool shed. I have never attempted anything like this. Earlier I changed the air filter and plug. And cranked and cranked, which is exhausting and depressing. After this procedure, it started first pull, having not been run for over a year. I was thrilled, surprised, and grateful!
I have the exact same Ryobi pressure washer and it would not start after a year in storage. I followed your directions and now it is running like new. Many thanks for sharing your expertise!
This video is amazing. Real life saver. Your sharing of knowledge is saving pressure washers from the landfill, all over. Saved mine! I got mine out for the season, after not using it for about a year. It would not start at all. I cleaned the main jet and the fuel bowl but nothing else. Then it started but would stop when I pushed the choke lever in. So then I followed your video step-by-step to take the carburetor cleaning to the next level. Sure enough, it started up on the first pull and kept running after I pushed the choke lever in. I definitely would not have been able to figure it out without this video. The hardest part for me was finding wire small enough to clean out the tiny holes. Luckily I had some electrical wire laying around that worked. I imagine some people will have to go buy some wire that is small enough. I think it’s called stranded? Anyway, once I found that wire I was really happy to be able to use it to clean the tiny holes out. OK I just wanted to say thanks so much because you really saved my pressure washer. Take care Also, I used the “B12 Chemtool” carb cleaner, and it works great. I guess I recommend it to those looking for a product to spray on the parts.
UPDATE:1 year and still cranks within the first 2-3 pulls. Probably will buy another when this one finally does bite the dust ruclips.net/user/postUgkx43QMbQqu67IZadu9ou8Sg1BdrunMRNqX . No issues at all. Very happy with it.UPDATE: After 6 months of use and over 70 uses I would still highly recommend this pressure washer. It does vibrate a decent amount but never had it “walk” like others have mentioned. No oil leaks, still seems to run like the day I bought it. Still cranks within 2-3 pulls every time. Very happy with my purchase!Have used it about a dozen times now. Plenty of power, cranks up on 1-2 pulls every time. My only complaint would be I wish it was a little taller to make it easier to walk with it (hits my ankles a lot) and that the two hose connections were a little further apart but it hasn’t caused me any issues. Seems to run a good 1-1/2-2 hrs on a full tank, overall a well built machine and definitely worth the money in my opinion.
This is what the internet was made for. Ran into this exact issue with my pressur washer with the Honda 160 engine. After this clear instruction video, I was back to normal operations. Much obliged.
Dear Jeff: Run into a problem with my Ryobi pressure washer not starting; a lot of black smoke and a lot of struggle, would sometimes magically start but never run idle. You and your kind video help to diagnose the problem and showed how to approach the solution. Thank you so much for your direction. Very clearly spoken and delivered with details explained and walked through. Very well done.
Great video! I left gas in it for 9 months and it was not starting. I followed your instructions. It started on the second pull no problem after I drained and put in new gas. Thank you!
What a lifesaver... I fought with mine (the same exact model) for over an hour last weekend. It was less than 2 years old and took multiple pulls to start, it would pop once and die. I was beyond frustrated. I have this exact pressure washer and found this video by Jeff. After following his steps to clean the jets and carburetor (took me about 40 minutes). I put everything back together following his video... - tank already had gas, put the unit into Start mode, gas valve on... pulled the starter handle/cable and FIRED RIGHT UP on FIRST PULL... and ran perfectly the rest of the day. ABSOLUTELY AWESOME JOB "Jeff's Little Engine Service"
This worked perfectly, I’m mechanically inclined, but had no idea this process would be so quick, and actually work. Thank you very much - liked and subscribed. Normally I’d just spend another $250 on a new unit, and offload the used non working unit for $50. Saved me from another new purchase.
Very helpful! My pressure washer would start with carburetor cleaner but then would quickly die. I walked through your video step by step and it started and ran on the first pull! Thanks!
Great video, helped me with the jet on top that I missed. Ran great after i cleaned it for a full tank, died from running out of fuel, added more and now its back to not running again. My float bowl looked like it had shag carpet installed inside, it was extremely dirty.
Dude I was cursing bc It's not quite as easy as you portray in the video especially for elderly people like me.. But I did exactly what you said thinking I was wasting my time bc mine looked really clean (only used once)... But I pressed on and did what you said and that bad boy fired right up .... Thanks dude..
Thanks for the video. Mine wouldn't run for more than 1 second and had to wait several seconds between attempts so fuel definitely wasn't getting where it needed to go. Wasn't sure I needed the carb cleaning but my throttle linkage was bound on the upper margin of the inner paper gasket. I decided to do the cleaning anyway. Found some deposits in the main jet, like you said about the size of a grain of salt. There was also some residue on the float bowl. Put it back together and was a first pull start once again. I greatly appreciate your taking time to make this video.
Thank you sir,,, This video was incredibly helpful with mine not staying running unless in choke only. I know these carbs can be simple for some but for those who don't mess with em this video was perfect to watch and easy to understand. Back up and running now ready for house chores tomorrow.
I would like to express my appreciatiuon for your precious explanation and firming in very good angel, makes it easy to follow, I can successfully uninstall, clean it up and replaced them. Thank agai. Your tutorial is the best among all about this kind.
Jeff, I have a similar story to everybody here and your videos helped me easily fix my pressure washer. I'm not a mechanic, but I learned after watching your videos on the GCV160 and GCV190 how to maintain and clean a carburetor. I didn't know how bad ethanol was on engines, after fixing and cleaning my carburetor, draining old gas and only putting in ethanol low gas, my power washer started up and is running. you would be able to guess how dirty my carburetor pan was, rust and corrosion. people, only use ethanol free gas!
This is one of the most useful RUclips videos I've seen in a long time. I couldn't get the low speed jet screw unstuck, but the rebuild worked anyway. A lot of water got into the fuel and caused some corrosion. I'll be more careful how I store it in future.
Thank you!!! I had a paint crew sitting on their butts!! We were waiting for a company to fix it and they couldn’t get to it for a week. Started on the first pull.
thank you. I have this video bookmarked and I watch it every spring. for some reason I always have to clean the carburator even if I use fuel stabilizer over the winter
Great vid. I bought this washer a couple years ago. Out of the box the carb was plugged/dirty and the idle was surging bad. I cleaned it just as you did, but it still didn't run great. I cleaned it out a second time using about half a can of carb cleaner, air dried, assembled and it ran great after.
Wow! Is all I can say. I have the same pressure washer and your video was absolutely spot on. Thank-you for sharing your knowledge or should I say wisdom. My washer started first pull after performing your recommended maintenance. Thanks again.
Wow, I am so glad I found this! Thanks for the quick tutorial on the Honda carb. Mine had sat for a year and wouldn’t start. I followed your thorough directions on how to clean everything out, and it work d like a charm. After reassembly, the first pull and it cranked right up and ran strong like it normally does. Many thanks!!!!
fuel98rider To prevent that from happening again in the future, turn off the fuel supply valve to the carb. and run the engine out of gas when you're done using the pressure washer.
Thank you for putting together this helpful video. Following your guide, i was able to fix my Ryobi GCV 190. It would only run on Choke. Not anymore, fixed and she's smooth like brand new again.
Thanks for the video! I was able to fix my Brute pressure washer with the same engine in about 10 minutes after watching this. The piece that lets gas into the bowl was all gummed up and stuck.
Great Instructions perfect video,, I did the repair to my high pressure washer's Honda engineer... and Wam!! It fired up and runs perfectly!! Thank you sir!
Great video!! Thank you for posting!! Followed your instructions and got my PW running again. Stupid little pin hole clogged was keeping it from running after turning off choke. Exactly as you said. Extra mention of caution to those also performing this process. Make sure the gasket is on the float bowl when putting the carb back together and on the machine. Somehow, mine fell off. After starting, it was leaking gas like a stuck pig. Found the gasket on my work bench.. oops! :)
My Ryobi had exact symptoms you described: runs only with in start position. Your instructions were so clear literally my 12yo did most of the repair! We had corrosion on the outside of the main jet as I suspect there was some water in the full. Back working 100% so Thanks!
Thanks for the video! I bought the same pressure washer in 10/2019 and used it once .. Today I tried to work with it but couldn’t start the motor! Cleaned the carburetor as per your video and it worked like a charm 😀
Igor p In the future, when you're done running the pressure washer and ready to put it away, turn off that fuel valve under the tank and run the engine until it runs out of gas. This one simple step will prevent the carb and main jet from plugging up again. It will also prevent the needle/seat/float assembly from sticking and causing the engine to flood with fuel.
Great video. I do deck restoration and have had three of these Ryobi units in the past 6 to 8 years. The Honda engine is flawless and I have done nothing but carb cleans on them once a year. Every 3rd deck I clean the oil gets changed which is about ten to twelve hours. The homeowner grade pump after each use I drain the pump of water and give it pump saver. None of these Ryobi Honda unit's are run on anything but ethanol free 91 octan has. And all 3 have the original home owners grade pumps on them Still.
Great video. I will share a tip. I play guitar and the three smaller strings are great for cleaning out jets. If not you maybe a friend will pass on the old ones. I just cut in small maybe 6" lengths and keep a few a bit longer. thanks again.
Outstanding video. The directions were detailed and the video was clear. I followed directions to the T and my pressure washer started on the first pull! Thanks for taking the time to do the video!
This was exactly what I needed! Mine was sitting for a few years between moves, and once I cleaned it like in the video, fired up on first pull! Thanks!
Thank you for this video. You were direct and easy to follow and gave good viewing angles, and you have a fantastic attitude. You're a natural teacher. My GCV190 pressure washer is running like new now. If I could give you 100 thumbs up, I would.
Thanks for putting this out there. I have the same washer and couldn't even start mine after it had been in storage. I found no gas getting to the cylinder and your video made the fix so easy! One clean carb later and it started right up.
Thanks so much for the clear instructions & views. I had the same problem, likely due to fuel containing ethanol. Couldn’t run the pressure washer without choke on; then sputtered out & refused to start. I have zero carburetor experience, yet was able to get it up & running again in under 30 minutes - after getting carburetor cleaner & ethanol-free fuel. Wonderful instruction!
Thank you so much Your video is very helpful Thanks to you I fix my power washer With no problems Very detailed God bless you Keep on going With more videos And help in people like Me Thank you so much
Thank you so much for the video instruction. You’ve made it so clear and easy for people like me to follow. Your instructions have saved me money from buying a new machine and I can also impress my husband too! Now my machine works beautifully. Easy to start and when switching from choke to run without any problems! Thanks again for sharing the video.
Hi, Jeff! Thanks for the SUPERB video on the carburetor overhaul on the Honda GCV160 -RYOBI. I was easily able to make a PERFECT set of Instructions with pictures from your video and fix my son's Ryobi PW . He picked it up about 20 min. ago and it was running great! My only complaint was that a few steps were much slower than they should have been; 1) the removal of the fuel line hose was not actually difficult but I REALLY do not care for the spring clamps that Honda used in this build. (No doubt I most likely don't understanding the proper technique for grasping these things and retaining a reliable grip while in the opened position!) 2) I had the exact same difficulty as you in loostening the slow jet cover screw and one of my "friends" forgot to return my 6 in vice grips with bottom jaw small enough to get a righteous grip on that damn screw and I ended up buggering up the phillips head screw a bit. I really think my set of instructions are very good and if anything overly detailed. If you think they may help you in answering fewer questions you may surely have them to use with or without modifications. SEnd me you r email if you want them! Stan R.(b-t-w-, I sent you a small donation. and THX again!)
Jeff thanks for your video. I followed your instructions to a tee and it worked! I was able to get my pressure washer started on the second pull. Please keep up the good work my man.
Someone gave me this pressure washer I’m really excited to work on it and looks like it’s in good shape. I will be cleaning out gas tank line and carb and replacing spark plug. Fingers crossed 🤞🏾 I’ll keep you updated. Great informative video thank you!!
This video is perfect, thank you! I had the exact problem, with my 190 Honda. I had to run it slightly choked, if it was fully open it would die every time. I followed Jeff's instructions and the thing runs like a charm. thanks again
Thank you Jeff! Got mine working again after a year of not starting. UPDATE: Next day, wouldn't start. So, bought a $20 kit with carb, spark plug, filter..etc. Now it's running great. Thank you for knowledge!
I used to be a small engine mechanic. We used to use super fine drill bits that you spin by hand to bore the jet out after cleaning because they where designed to run lean right from the get go. These carbs are very sensitive and cheap to replace. OEM carb can be had for under $30 and a generic from Stens run about $15.

Hi Jeff I am a 48 year old single woman who just cleaned the carb on my pressure washer thanks to your video. I have a ryobi 2800 with the honda engine. After I got it back together I started engine and there was no surging. My next problem is installing the unloader valve. Any tips ?

Another success story. PW wouldn’t come close to starting. I followed your video exactly and it started on the third pull.
Thank you!
Glad it helped

I almost threw my pressure washer away, this worked perfectly. A chunk of yellow crystal came out of the tube. Runs like new. Thank you
Good job!
Followed the instructions and spent two hours pressure washing because it worked. Thanks!
Excellent!
This video was a lifesaver! I was so ready to just put a bullet in it and buy a new one. An extremely easy fix. Thanks!
good job!

After following his steps to clean the jets and carburetor (took me about 40 minutes). good job, thanks for watching.
Very helpful! My pressure washer would start with carburetor cleaner but then would quickly die. I walked through your video step by step and it started and ran on the first pull! Thanks!
Thanks very much for this. My choke was stuck & I figured out why watching your video.
Picked this up for $50, no start/old gas..new oem carb from Ebay $14 works great! Video was so helpful..thanks!
Worked perfectly. I'm not surprised it gets clogged up. Those holes are TINY!
Hands down the best instructional repair video I have ever watched. Thank You !!
Wow, thanks friend!
I was able to follow this step by step and got my washer to start on the first pull! It hadn't been started in two years prior. Thanks for the video!
Excellent job Kirsten,, thanks to Jeffs video we got them running.
likewise thanks for the help
Real talk 💯……… me too! 3 pulls and I was running
Great video, helped me with the jet on top that I missed. Ran great after i cleaned it for a full tank, died from running out of fuel, added more and now its back to not running again. My float bowl looked like it had shag carpet installed inside, it was extremely dirty.
Yes the gas tank, fuel line and carburetor need to be very clean or the problem may reoccur
Wooow... MUCHAS GRACIAS SEÑOR.. you are a genius my dear..! Hours of frustration came up to only 10 mins procedure..!! Thanks a lot.. god bless you.!
Thank you! I was ready to trash my pressure washer. Followed your video step by step and it started on the third pull.
Glad it helped, good job
Dude I was cursing bc It's not quite as easy as you portray in the video especially for elderly people like me.. But I did exactly what you said thinking I was wasting my time bc mine looked really clean (only used once)...
But I pressed on and did what you said and that bad boy fired right up ....

good job
So easy to follow and best part about it all is that it worked!!! No more engine dying when the choke is closed. Thank you!!
One of the best repair videos I've viewed on RUclips.
Thanks friend

Found some deposits in the main jet, like you said about the size of a grain of salt. There was also some residue on the float bowl. Put it back together and was a first pull start once again. I greatly appreciate your taking time to make this video.
Thank you sir,,, This video was incredibly helpful with mine not staying running unless in choke only. I know these carbs can be simple for some but for those who don't mess with em this video was perfect to watch and easy to understand. Back up and running now ready for house chores tomorrow.
Glad it helped
I would like to express my appreciatiuon for your precious explanation and firming in very good angel, makes it easy to follow, I can successfully uninstall, clean it up and replaced them. Thank agai. Your tutorial is the best among all about this kind.
thanks friend, I am happy it helped
Jeff, I have a similar story to everybody here and your videos helped me easily fix my pressure washer. I'm not a mechanic, but I learned after watching your videos on the GCV160 and GCV190 how to maintain and clean a carburetor. I didn't know how bad ethanol was on engines, after fixing and cleaning my carburetor, draining old gas and only putting in ethanol low gas, my power washer started up and is running. you would be able to guess how dirty my carburetor pan was, rust and corrosion. people, only use ethanol free gas!
Great video! I’ve never worked on an engine before and your directions made it a breeze and the engine started on my first try.
Thank you.
Great video. I was able to fix my same model pressure washer in the same manner. Couldn't have managed it without your help.
Glad it helped
Followed the video this morning and aside from aligning the inner gasket and the outer one , everything went well. Thank you the video.
Glad it helped
This is one of the most useful RUclips videos I've seen in a long time. I couldn't get the low speed jet screw unstuck, but the rebuild worked anyway. A lot of water got into the fuel and caused some corrosion. I'll be more careful how I store it in future.
thanks for watching!
Great video. Exactly my problem, clogged main jet. Instructions were spot on, thank you!
Glad it helped
Thanks very much for taking the time to create this video! It was precisely what I needed to get my Honda running properly again.
Glad it helped! thanks for watching
I was having problems today and ran across this video. Was up and running in 20 min after a carb cleaning!
Glad it helped!
Thank you!!! I had a paint crew sitting on their butts!! We were waiting for a company to fix it and they couldn’t get to it for a week. Started on the first pull.
well done
Fixed mine with this video. Runs like a champ.
thank you. I have this video bookmarked and I watch it every spring. for some reason I always have to clean the carburator even if I use fuel stabilizer over the winter
Glad it helped. Using non ethanol gas +fuel additive may help over the winter
Good job, thanks for watching!
Many thanks!!!!
fuel98rider
To prevent that from happening again in the future, turn off the fuel supply valve to the carb. and run the engine out of gas when you're done using the pressure washer.
Thanks a lot Jeff, by watching your video I was able to replace the carburetor on mine.
Thank you for putting together this helpful video. Following your guide, i was able to fix my Ryobi GCV 190. It would only run on Choke. Not anymore, fixed and she's smooth like brand new again.
Same here, much appreciated!!
Same here same model. Just like brand new thank you. I’ve never seen a carburetor let alone worked on one !
Thanks! Good job
Found the gasket on my work bench.. oops! :)
Perfect. Have the same washer with the same problem. Will be following these steps. Thanks!
Thank you for making this video. My exact problem. I had to clean the cab twice but I got it running watching your video.
Just got mine running thanks to you. Main jet was clogged. Thanks again

In the future, when you're done running the pressure washer and ready to put it away, turn off that fuel valve under the tank and run the engine until it runs out of gas. This one simple step will prevent the carb and main jet from plugging up again. It will also prevent the needle/seat/float assembly from sticking and causing the engine to flood with fuel.
Did everything on video, and it WORKED!!!
Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Glad it helped!
Very happy I found this. You did a great job going step by step. I was able to be up and running in no time. Saved some money as well.
Thanks for the info! Great tips
extremely helpful, thank you! Got mine working right after the cleaning, and it saved me a couple hundred bucks! Appreciate the tutorial
Great to hear!
Best step by step video so far.
Thank you so much! I have the same pressure washer and had the same problem, now i fixed it with your instructions. Cool!
Glad it helped!
Thanks! I will clean my carburetor this week. My Ryobi 2800 PSI Pressure Washer is having the exact same problem.
This was exactly what I needed! Mine was sitting for a few years between moves, and once I cleaned it like in the video, fired up on first pull! Thanks!
Great to hear!
Thank you for this video. You were direct and easy to follow and gave good viewing angles, and you have a fantastic attitude. You're a natural teacher. My GCV190 pressure washer is running like new now. If I could give you 100 thumbs up, I would.
Wow, thank you!
What a helpful video!, Thanks from Chile!
(Muy washing machine was injured with Diesel, now it roars like a tiger...
excellent!
Thanks for putting this out there. I have the same washer and couldn't even start mine after it had been in storage. I found no gas getting to the cylinder and your video made the fix so easy! One clean carb later and it started right up.
Great to hear!
You explain everything very
well and coordinate the video in a perfect and easy-to-follow way.
thanks for watching!
Glad it helped
Thank you so much

Thank you so much for the video instruction. You’ve made it so clear and easy for people like me to follow. Your instructions have saved me money from buying a new machine and I can also impress my husband too! Now my machine works beautifully. Easy to start and when switching from choke to run without any problems! Thanks again for sharing the video.
Glad it was helpful!
This is one of the best RUclips videos that I have ever watched. It was explained clearly and in great detail. Cheers.🍾🥂
thanks friend
Thank you ! You have no clue how much time and aggravation you saved me.
Lou
Jeff thanks for your video. I followed your instructions to a tee and it worked! I was able to get my pressure washer started on the second pull. Please keep up the good work my man.
Thanks for the tip! Your video helps me fixed the choke-off problem. Just one pull, she starts up just like brand new.
Man you’re awesome. Very detailed instruction on how to fix a stubborn startup of a Ryobi pressure washer. A million thanks!
Thanks for watching!
Someone gave me this pressure washer I’m really excited to work on it and looks like it’s in good shape. I will be cleaning out gas tank line and carb and replacing spark plug. Fingers crossed 🤞🏾 I’ll keep you updated. Great informative video thank you!!
So I gave the washer a tune up and fired right up I got me a free power washer! Thanks for the video.
This video is perfect, thank you! I had the exact problem, with my 190 Honda. I had to run it slightly choked, if it was fully open it would die every time. I followed Jeff's instructions and the thing runs like a charm. thanks again
nice! thanks for watching
I also have a 190 I have to run it on choke. When you would switch it to run would it shake and turn off?
Thank you Jeff! Got mine working again after a year of not starting. UPDATE: Next day, wouldn't start. So, bought a $20 kit with carb, spark plug, filter..etc. Now it's running great. Thank you for knowledge!
Where’d you get the carb kit for this model?
I used to be a small engine mechanic. We used to use super fine drill bits that you spin by hand to bore the jet out after cleaning because they where designed to run lean right from the get go. These carbs are very sensitive and cheap to replace. OEM carb can be had for under $30 and a generic from Stens run about $15.
Great point!

Hi Jeff
I am a 48 year old single woman who just cleaned the carb on my pressure washer thanks to your video. I have a ryobi 2800 with the honda engine. After I got it back together I started engine and there was no surging.
My next problem is installing the unloader valve. Any tips ?
Tried all shown. Couldn't get the main jet to unscrew. Bought a new carb for $20.00, replaced same, works great now!
Thanks Jeff the remedy was appropriate to my problem, easy to follow, and ran well on re-start of the engine!
Great video. Got it up and running due to your video.Thank you, made my day . Excellent !!!
good job!
Simple, straightforward, sensible instructions. Tyvm
