Having spent my childhood in Asia, and growing up Kung Fu movies and fighting robots, I adore this comedy. Especially landlords couple.
I just assumed this was a normal day in Hong Kong 😅

Best bit about this movie is they hired a bunch of actors from the 60's 70's 80's kung fu movies who had just about been forgotten, and after this came out they all suddenly became stars again and had a few years of big jobs that let them get a real retirement plan as most actors from those days were just about broke, as the studio's treated them badly but made huge money off them
Bruce Liang was a great leg fighter in the 1970s
These movies were badass to me as a kid and still are to this day

This movie was and still is a World Masterpiece! The sounds, the sets, the direction, storyline, starcast, humor, entertainment and the cinematography, everything so beautifully done! I mean, we all know it's all bollocks but the way it is presented, mind wants to believe everything is real lol.

He truly surrenders only when Sing offers to teach him the moves even after Sing saw the kind of beast, and monster he is, then the beast realizes he is in front of not just a master but the one. “He has no enemies” like people say now days. Great independent movie
My perspective is that he truly taken aback when Sing offers to teach him. This is like how Buddha transformed the killer/beast Angulimala, there is lots of philosophy in this.
I am watching this movie in 2023 and the first I have seen in 2004. Still like to watch movies like this. Great entertainment.

Se suponía que habría una secuela, la cual Stephen Chow estaba trabajando en la misma desde 2005, pero dado que paso ya mucho tiempo, obviamente los planes cambiaron, en 2019 anunció de nuevo que habrá una nueva, pero sólo será una que use el concepto de la primera, ya no será una continuación directa. Hay historias que es mejor dejarlas en una sola toma. Pero bueno, veremos si es que al final hace esa nueva pelicula y si sale bien, es excelente y memorable como la 1ra.

I think the main character here is the son romeo and juliet, they mentioned that their son died and if he is still alive.. he is probably the same age as the hero..take note! the main character is able to heal his body.. maybe romeo and juliet thought that their son really died forever.. they didn't know that their son healed his body and for whatever reason he came back to life.. like of the main character because he and Romeo and Juliet's son are the same person..

I can’t remember where I came across this movie but saw preview, thought it was going to be cheesy, watched it and ended up doing so several times. Considering this is a 20 year old movie, the special effects were pretty darn good. Respect to the gang of stuntmen he fights 👍

For those who are a tad confused, the beast wanted nothing more to obtain strength and test it. Eventually he became the strongest but soon realized how empty it made him.

Did you even watch the whole movie? He is an irredeemable villain. He lost to The Couple and when they about to give the final hit, he fake surrendered and then cheat his way to victory. The same happen here again. He in NOT the strongest. He is a bastard who cheats and do everything for "victory". An irredeemable villain.

This is my go to haha movie, Crouching Tiger, Hidden dragon is my go to serious movie because Michelle Yu and Sao Yan Phat(I seriously misspelled his name, please forgive me) And I love the old Bruce Lee Movies because those were my first Aisian themed films I was introduced to when I was a child by my dad. And many of them defy gravity.
