Nice video! I enjoy seeing some of the flight attendant vlogs. Flying is always fun. Especially international travel. Hopefully, soon the mask mandates will end for flying as more people become vaccinated. Do you have a favorite airport for layovers? Airports are quite dynamic. I have never minded having a reasonable amount of layover time to check them out. Chicago, Philadelphia, and Atlanta are some of my favorites domestically. For International, the Amsterdam airport is cool. I pray that you have safe travels and that people are respectful to you and other passengers during these times!
Hi Rick! The airport in Vegas is fun to go through. The airport in Minneapolis is cool. It looks more like a mall than an airport. I love the airport in Greenville I fly out of. It’s small, but it’s very nice. There’s a nice outdoor courtyard once you go through security you can hang out at if you have time before your flight.
Hello Hannah, so what happens when you sign in and the flight gets delayed say for 5 hours, you would sit and wait in the airport, but won't get paid???😯. In that case, from the time, the doors are closes and the caption release the brakes, if there is a delay, the only people benefited would be the crew, right😀. I can imagine that feeling when the surroundings are all suited for a nap, like post meal, dim light, enough tiredness and everyone else around is sleeping, oh my God, thats testing our control time😯, I can't imagine how you managed until 3 am that day.! Hi! So you are correct. The only time we get paid for delays is once we have pushed back from the gate. It doesn’t matter if passengers are on the plane with us or not. If we haven’t left the gate, we won’t get paid. You could say crews are benefiting if they are getting paid for a delay, but most flight attendants would rather go out on time because those delays usually come out of our layover time (like mine did in this video). I would rather have my rest than an extra hour of pay lol.
Hi there Hannah! When you go on a 3, or 4 day trip, do the hotels provide you a cleaning service for uniforms, or do you pack extra? Noticed you ironing your shirt. Do you have a seafood allergy, or just don't like the taste?
Hi Jordan! I usually pack extra when I go on 3 or 4 days. Some hotels we use do have a laundry service, but I’ve never used it. I’m not allergic, just don’t like the taste/texture. I’ll try it again every now and then though because tastebuds change over the years, but I’m still not a fan haha
Dose American Airlines have a lot of flight delays? Your 3 day trip seemed to be filled with a ton of delays. I am flying on American to Las Vegas next month.
Hi Steven. Unfortunately lately it seems there’s been a lot more delays. We are currently short a lot of pilots for certain aircraft, so that’s been causing problems for us. There’s also a shortage of flight attendants in certain bases, so if a crew is late getting in they’ve been delaying the flights instead of recrewing because they just don’t have enough people. Add all of that with typical thunderstorm delays and it’s been really crazy lately.
@@hannahsims3799 Thanks for that information. I am flying early out of Milwaukee, to Phoenix then arriving in Las Vegas at about 12:00. At least that trip is in the morning. The way home I leave Las Vegas at 2:00 PM then scheduled to fly out of Dallas back home at 9:00.
@@stevenlapidus5939 I will say morning flights usually go as planned. In the afternoon is when it starts to get a little crazy sometimes. So hopefully you make it there and back no problem!
