I just recieved mine this morning and unpacked and pluged in. I'm watching this video to see how you set up via the app. Samsung change the power button shape to round like the other buttons. No app setup in this video.
Many reviewers were saying that the bass is low on the Q990C so I was hoping that the 990D will have more bass but by the looks of it, it's still the same subwoofer with no improvements.
Quite happy with my HW-Q600C (with rear speakers) that I got a few months ago but great that they are supporting 120Hz on the 990D and I like that it has 2 HDMI inputs. Would like to see your impressions after a month or so of use.
Hey Boss, have you played any bass heavy content on it? I had the q990c and upgraded to the q990d for the HDMI 2.1 but noticing a very minor rattling sound of some kind coming from the sub. Never had that happen with the q990c. I even replaced the unit with a new one and it makes the same exact noise.
Yes same issue here I have Q990B I noticed it when I first bought it in 2022 but I thought it was normal as it was only happening on bass heavy scenes but couple of months ago started to happen everywhere music RUclips movie low bass scenes and now from all that rattling and popping subwoofer has lost power from the looks of it the bass doesn’t seem as strong as it was when I first bought it
Q990c has more drivers, better sound separation, and better bass. Plus, it gets louder with less compression at max volume. It comes down to what you want out of your audio. If the 930c pleases your ears, roll with it. Just know that the 990c is more capable and potent. It is worth it if you can swing the price difference.👍
The passthrough is there to help with folks who need extra hdmi 2.1 ports, so the q990d provides "passthrough" for this. Some tvs only come with 1 hdmi 2.1 port and 1 earc port. This helps with that
The rear speakers, is each box 3 independent speakers (towards you, upward, and side)? Do the rear speakers have to be plugged into power or are they battery?
I have the q900c and whenever I watch 4k blu rays. I usually get audio dropouts 3 times that last 1-2 second each. But it does not happen when I am streaming, only on 4k blu rays. I have tried several hdmi cables with no success. What should I do? My 4k player is Panasonic ub820 and my tv is Sony a95l
@@Sphios worth the upgrade for sure. It’s just sounds a lot more fuller especially the rears and the sub is better than the old one. I paid $1260 for mine though not full price
@@TheRokaphella While not clear feeling, I did not watch the entire movie, watched 5 minutes, and at a volume of 10, as if everything is very quiet, but at the same time the sounds of some loud, on Sony HT-S20R such a feeling was not, but there was a disadvantage only that you could not amplify the center channel, the voices were quiet
@@TheRokaphella And another thing, I can not turn on dolby on TV, S90C Samsung, writes that is not supported, but at the same time on the test clip all the channels work as shown in the test clip, on the old Samsung TV, it was possible with a connected soundbar to turn on dolby and bitstreaming format.

Did you figure out the deal with the one 2.1 not working?

What settings are you using bro? Copied your 990c settings on to this one lol

Bass has been low since the 950t. Samsung did something weird to it.
To me, the bass isn't low at all. Also for 2024 the samsung has improved how the bass/subwoofer for the q990d is utilized.

Is there a version of this exact soundbar with sub and NO rears?

Hello, I have a question, I have a Q930C Soundbar and is it worth replacing it with the Q990C? Is Q990C much better than Q930C

Is it good ? The 930 ? Also with Music ?
Upgrade necessary from the 995C? I don‘t think so …
Apart from 4k/ 120 hz, is there any other upgrades?
Why do soundbar have 4k 120hz i dont get the whole passthrough stuff can you pls explain?

Correct, about each rear speaker. Yes, the rear speakers have to be plugged in for power.👍
How long are the cables for the rears?
Be great to pop along to store take a look,I’m sure it’s going sound great 😊
When will the 2025 version be available in the market?
Mine is coming in a few days. Is the HDMI cable included?
