Aaah ! Some news about the FX118. Thank you !😊 On mine : brass rings inside front wheels only + Brass axle end covers on both axles + battery 90° rotated, now parallel to the chassis (same place) + rear & front shocks now about 45° tilted + 1.3" tires from RCAWD (not the best but better than the originals, and they look sooo good) + swapped this ugly body for a Power Wagon from a FMS FCX24. No rear bed, so same body weight. Total weight : 605 grams and a pleasure to crawl with.😉
Wrap some lead golf tape around the beadlock ring to add what ever weight you want , people mone about adding rotational weight but it's a brushless system and it has the power to turn a little lead weight in the wheels , I have stopped buying the brass parts now and the last few builds I have only used the lead golf tape to get what ever weight I wanted , it works try it , I won't go back to paying for brass parts that do very little to improve your truck , weight on the wheels will , stay safe mate 🇬🇧
I’m glad I was able to find your channel I haven’t really had anything to keep me entertained I normally work 12 hour shifts and I never have time to myself anymore i bought an scx24 but can’t really get the upgrades been busy fixing my truck after my accident, keep up the good work and amazing vidz always appreciated the support and help with these little rigs
I just installed the bearings in mine. Waiting for everything else to be shipped. I also got the drive shafts and the delrin side plates so I can lower and reconfigure the electronics more forward.
I did the bearings and full links add to mine the other day, it sure is a Great little crawler !! Really enjoy your videos !! Oh, yeah the rear upper links on mine needed to moved up a hole as they were binding when the suspension flexed. The fronts were fine.
Yeah it did pretty good out there, I do like that rig. Right now my number one priority is my 1/10 scale rat rod and building it’s turning out pretty sweet
Rcawd have have aluminum / brass axles that work . Also furitek rampart skid fits so that way you can run the Stella transmission with a komodo or whatever motor you want that that's how mine set up and it's a beast you do have to run scx 24 axles though. Also makes it super quiet. And for the price of the brass portal covers you you get those with the axles so it's actually not even that much more to get a full built axle set
Great review on upgrades,I don't think it needed the links.did you notice that the wire from the motor to the esc was run to close to the drive shaft. Out of box.
Appreciate seeing the upgrade video! Looks like the new links clocked the front axle a little bit-rotated it backward some? Would be better for climbing!
It does look a bit more composed. If you really want to get picky you could put the plastic upper links back on to very slightly lower the COG. Might be worth trying the rear brass for stability reasons even tho it would shift the balance back to see what happens.
I always weigh each one individually because each one will weigh slightly different, Then you can adjust driver side or passenger side and how much weights on each side you could fine-tune it Yep I’m here watching Sunday 4:22 PM
I mentioned in a comment on another video that I am looking at upgrading the tires on my new FX118 (awesome advice to get this truck, btw) and you recommended 63mm tires instead of the 70's. It loosk like you went with the OGRC 1.0 RC Tires Competition Pin, 63 x21. I'm also intrigued by a couple of other tires: Little Guy Racing Trail King M/T 1.0 Inch, 63x24R1, and the INJORA S5 Swamp Stomper Crawler 1.0 Tires, 63x24, T1018 Of these 3, would you go with the pins again or one of the other two? The Trail Kings are twice as expensive, literally, as either the pins or Swamp Stompers. Dom
I received the skid and links this past Saturday haven’t had time to put em on yet but I did notice the links look really short I’m assuming the uppers attach further up on the chassis honestly I have no idea yet how the bottom links work cause they seem short as well. was hoping to get an idea of that from this vid any pointers would be appreciated I’m gonna put em on this weekend.
Ive done the same upgrades to mine as well, not much changed. Need to get more aftermarket parts available like axles, c hubs, diff covers to get more front bias. I noticed yours seems jumpy in reverse, mine is as well and havent figured out a way to tame it but still keep good power in reverse. Ive messed with throttle curve to no avail. Any input anybody?
do you think the 70mm injora swamp claw tires could fit on a injora scx24 nylon buggy? I think i gonna use mofo nylon portals. what links do you think i will need to make it work.I hope your new job is going well.
Well i have one and after 2 days it would not move forward installed the app updated the firmware and can get forward but no reverse unless i change it in the app and now not quite a week in it won't charge very dissapointed in this truck. I will say the first 2 days it was Awesome but now i would not recommend this truck

Thank you for a great video, could you please share the rim & tire upgrade?
Thanks for watching! Wheels are LGRP beadlocks and tires are ogrc comp pins
@@CapeCrawlers thank you, very impressed that actually reply!.! Well done!!!
Wareham, Mass. That's my hometown! Love that place. I lived in Parkwood Beach. I miss it there. Cool rig, great video.

At that point why not just buy a cayman, or doing a ground up scx24?
@@JUSTHAVEFUNRC because 1/2 of rc is tinkering/working on them!!
Also already have a custom scx24
Wreckless is awsome. Love that place. Haven't been there is a while.
Sweet I just ran mine 4 the 1st time now it's upgrade time..grate info

Great video Adam can't wait to buy a furitek soon
Appreciate seeing the upgrade video!

Awesome Video as always one of my favorites to watch. Love my Fx118. $50 bucks into mine and id compete with it
Awesome video! What kind of tires are those? Looks great!
Thanks! They are OG RC comp pins
Fantastic video as always Adam 👍✌
also could you do a build overview of og new livery snaggletooth
and how are you doing with your new job.
I’m going to revisit Snaggle soon and the OG blue gladiator. The job is great. Very busy, but in a good way!
What suspension links would you recommend to get more articulation? Great Channel! From Mark
Have you seen Gamyrc's video on this Rig? He's one of the designers for the Fury Wagon.
I haven’t! I’ll have to check it out

Dom
try the new meus axels with the double jointed universal joints
Can you do an upgrade video on the fx118 katana please!!
I can work on that. I’m enjoying the katana a lot
I think the biggest gain you got is from the bearings. Links and portal covers eeeh not so much just a minimal gain.
What size tires are on that fury
64mm
@@CapeCrawlers thanks for the reply. me and my son love your videos
Is that wagon designed to be a crawler? The Furi stuff seems to sit high out of the box. I have the cayman and I feel the same about it, high profile.
Yes and you’re right, it’s tall but still pretty planted
Hello mate, you think FMS upgrade fit on this little guys ? Thanks !
How did you get the tires to not rub on the portals? I got the LGRP ghost wheels and the tires rub.
Can u please share what mounting holes that you used on the links mine tend to bind no matter where I try

They’re super short! But they do work
And just go with the rc4wd axles made mine 100 percent better
Are there any crawler courses in the Dartmouth area?
I’m not sure about actual courses but you’re not far from Fort Phoenix in fairhaven. That place is epic!
Can we see competition videos
To me it sounds better after the bearings. Or am I tripping?

Nice American flag 👍

Got them on my warthog build just did it watching this haha
If you added some hex extensions I think they would fit. I would go with deadbolt rears and c10 fronts. My favorite combo!
Also the rcawd axles the portal axle covers are brass way better deal than these upgrades
