Same problem. Even mowing the lawn when it's in the 30's and 40's and it "overheats." Reseat the battery and all is good for another five minutes so obviously not really overheated.
I have had mine for 5 years and I LOVE it! Best investment EVER!! BUT!!!!!! I had this happen to me today for the 1st time in 5 years so I am not sure what the problem is as my battery stays inside and my mower is in a outdoor bldg so it can't be overheating and it is fully charged???
Hey boss not to say you didn’t check this already, but mine was doing the same thing. I flipped it over and the deck was full of grass and wouldn’t let the blades turn to start. Hope this might help.
Thanks for the reply and I did check everything one could check the authorized dealer could not repair it. Ego ended up replacing the unit (mower only). See this vid (read description section of my frustration with this mower). I like using it, though it did not cut as well as my gas but good enough. And it must work when I need it to work. I switched back to a gas mower. I let the new mower run in my driveway and it's working as expected. But I have not actually used it on the lawn (my Honda gas mower cuts better) Also, the battery is losing its sustainability, it runs for about 50 minutes and that's under no load, it's just easier to use my gas mower. Mine died after the 2nd use. It took EGO 3 weeks to reply to me and they never offered an explanation other than "this is unusual." GARBAGE!
