HI, also busy with a similar project. I was wondering which cylinder specs you used and for which boat size it is. I'm sailing a 40 ft jeanneau where i want to install the actuator on the quadrant, i think i need about 350mm stroke and 300kg but realy dont know if this is to big or to small alo if i need to go for electric hydraulic or just keep it simple with electric
Hi, I use a 200 mm stroke, 50 MM S speed, and 300N. It is Ok for my 20'. I select the stroke thinking about to have 45° deflection in the tiller from where I fix the cylinder. 300 N it's more than enought.
