With this setup is it possible to have the raspberry pi run opencpn and have it display to a 7" touch screen where you could configure the pypilot through touch? I'm thinking like a GPS where you can tap on the screen on the opencpn app and the autopilot would steer you there. Also think you should link this video on your website. Thanks!
I've bought 2 tiny pilots and some extra bits with no problem. I suspect that any communication problem is at your end. Supply issues could be the problem. Have you asked Sean?
hy, nice ideea but a litle bit overkill with the pi... in my opinion... now nice wold be to put on the raspbery pi open cpn and a touch screen like 7"...
Actually Pi can have a screen with maps and then it can be set to follow a route, not just a magnetic heading.. PyPilot seems to be a very capable platform, yet it's implementation is somewhat confusing. It is indeed a 'platform' rather then a 'solution'.
This is the best hand-held video I've ever seen - well structured and to the point!
Killing idea!!! Awsome ! It rocks! Thank you from France !
Nice job. What dc motor you are using? Can you share more detail on the mechanics part?
Very nice thanks

Check out the openplotter project, it brings pypilot openCPN and all the nmea data streams in to one place

Do users shield it from EMF caused by lightning strike?
Ordered tinypilot and motor controller from this guy 5 weeks ago. Never received either. Anybody else ripped off by this guy?
