    Hi Royce... I came across your channel recently. In a few years, I’m retiring and moving South with family from the Northeast. So far, I’ve researched Florida and started looking at Texas. I know nothing about Texas and have never been. Your videos are very helpful and informative. Can you do a video on best places to live for 55+ Active Adults? Can be Masterplan, established or new communities. Thank you.

    • @HoustonTexasLiving

      Hi Afrinet NYC! Thank you for following and for the comment! That's a great request btw and I will ABSOLUTELY look into creating a video on that community just for you my friend! 😊. BTW, I wish I had thought to highlight this before (Or I wish I had met you sooner, lol), but there's a beautiful 55+ section of homes within the Townelake community (Community was highlighted on my Cypress, TX video) that you can check out here on my channel. Let me know what you think of the area.

    • @AfrinetNYC
      @AfrinetNYC 4 года назад

      LOL... you’re welcome! And thank you for considering doing a 55+ Active Adult video. Will be very helpful. I rewatched the Cypress, TX video. It looks promising. Beautiful area, homes and lot sizes... good shopping too. I’m open to other areas as well. In my research, I’ve noticed that there’s a contrast between Florida and Texas homes. And, as a future retiree, I need to keep busy so I’m looking forward to learning about what the area (or others) has to offer seniors. Be well!

    I have a bunch of cousins in Houston, and I'm considering moving there, however, from what I've been watching on the news here lately, Houston's crime rate, especially murders is extremely high. I'm from a big city so I understand that crime etc, will most likely be a concern. But I'm still on the fence.

    • @HoustonTexasLiving
      @HoustonTexasLiving  2 года назад +1

      Hi Felicia (My lovely mother's name as well)! Thank you for the comment and follow... Yes, since the Covid-19 Pandemic, as expected by experts and local police officials, severe crime has increased here locally by over 30%! However, the majority of the areas of Houston that my real estate team and I focus on are the suburban areas of Houston, i.e. Sugar Land, Pearland, Cypress, The Woodlands, etc. and the crime rates in those areas and others alike are significantly lower than what transpires in Houston (Proper). I hope this info (Please research and perform your own due diligence) serves to provide some peace and level of comfort.

      @@HoustonTexasLiving Thanks for your response. I have a bunch of cousins in Houston who were born & raised in Louisiana but they've lived in Houston pretty much all of their lives. They are a great resource and I plan on visiting in late Summer. Right now I live next door in Arkansas and I'm originally from Los Angeles.
      I'm not looking to buy and I don't really care for the new luxury buildings, they're too closed in for me. I like opening my door and being able to see outside and I can't stand property management companies. I much prefer private owners.
      Thank you for providing insight into the different areas and neighborhoods of Houston. It's given me enough specifics of the neighborhoods I am considering relocating to.

    • @HoustonTexasLiving
      @HoustonTexasLiving  4 года назад +1

      Well there are too many areas to list. The best approach to your question is to get with a real estate agent who can help you determine the best area(s) within the vast Houston Metropolitan that suits your lifestyle and budget and then find a neighborhood that's not located in a flood plain/zone. And that's exactly what we do here @ the Rolls-Royce Luxury Living Team. If you feel ready to have a "deep dive" convo about what are some of the best areas for you of Houston's metro then please do not hesitate to schedule a private ZOOM call or simply give us a call, shoot us a text or send an email. Whichever way you're most comfortable in communicating. However, please note, if and when you perform a private ZOOM call, we can virtually show you where to avoid flooding concerns. Thank you for your question and Happy Holidays to you and your family!

    Ok I have a ?
    I'm from Brooklyn n.y currently live in Charlotte nc, im a hair stylist im moving to Houston in 6 months. Here's the thing I want to live in a area where its a lott of stores,bars,shopping etc BUT not in the hood ( just being honest) and less flooding 😉 soo my ? Is where do you suggest my first area should be my first year?

    • @HoustonTexasLiving
      @HoustonTexasLiving  4 года назад +1

      Hi Kymistry! Great question! A lot of stylists who prefer to NOT live in the "hood" like to live in a number of areas, but the following are some good options. (Mind you, in my response to your question, my suggestions are w/the thought of keeping you as centrally located as possible). Tanglewood/Galleria area, Midtown, Uptown, Braeswood area, Upper Kirby, City Centre, Washington Coalition/Rice Military area, Pearland, TX just to list a few. At the end of the day, I HIGHLY recommend you just reach out to me via ZOOM, call or text even and have a more detailed private convo and that way I can share with you what the areas look like and the properties in and around them. I promise I won't bite! 😎
      Go here to schedule a call no later than when you're 3 months out.

    What about Spring

    • @HoustonTexasLiving
      @HoustonTexasLiving  4 года назад +2

      Hi Brittney! Spring is a good area to consider, but with the wealth of varying suburban areas of the Houston Metro to choose from and time constraints we set for ourselves in regards to our video production for this channel, it wasn't listed as one of our "Best" areas to live in the area. However, overall Spring, TX is a good option for "Deep" North Houston suburban living.

      @@HoustonTexasLiving so is spring pretty much really expensive to live, I was also thinking about spring but not too sure if it's a good area especially for black people, it seems like sugarland and pearland are the best areas , looking at your videos I think I like pearland area , hoping to visit soon, currently in San Antonio and do NOT like it here

    • @HoustonTexasLiving
      @HoustonTexasLiving  4 года назад +2

      @@1Mssimplybeautiful No Spring is a great area of Houston for anyone actually! I literally just placed a very good friend of mine about 4 months ago in her very 1st house in Spring, TX . I live on the South side of Houston (Pearland, TX) and therefore haven't gotten around to shooting a video on the Spring, TX area yet, but give me a few weeks and we'll get out there and make it happen just for you and Brittney! Tell you what, how about you reserve a spot via ZOOM to chat about exactly what it is you are looking for and I'll get you pointed in the right direction. Deal?

      I currently live in spring, been here since august of last year and we love it here. It can get busy during traffic jams but that’s Houston for you 😂 the school my daughter is attending is great and the area is in the middle of everything.. it is kinda expensive but considering other places I’ll pay 💰 for the location because of the safety and you don’t have to worry about ppl hanging around outside when you go to the store. A lot of stuff to do and it hardly floods here. It’s outside of the “bowl”

    Best places to move in Houston thats safe but also with a decent black population??

    • @HoustonTexasLiving
      @HoustonTexasLiving  3 года назад

      That would be literally every suburban area in Houston. Black Houstonians live everywhere which is literally why I don't discuss it in any of my vids because it's literally not worthy of mentioning because black Houston is scattered across the entire city and in great representation for most parts... Where are the the gated black communities!? Thank you

    • @HoustonTexasLiving
      @HoustonTexasLiving  3 года назад +2

      Hello! With respect, that simply does not exist here ma'am... Please try and keep in mind that Houston being the 4th largest city that it is and soon to be the 3rd largest is also the most Diverse City in the country. Therefore, there are no gated communities here of any specific race nor ethnicity. However, there are hundreds of gated communities all over the city that "Black people" happen to live in... I hope that answers your question.
