This heel to toe action is a game changer for getting a feeling for the swing being in-to-in. Set up with the spine angle and club as close to 90 as possible that Stu teaches, then feel the heel to toe as Stu advocates here… only thing left to do is pull down and left! The Stu Method = Great Coaching!
Thanks, Stu! After almost 10 years, I'm starting to understand what I have been doing wrong. I'm so excited to get my handicap lower and enjoy the game even more. Cheers!
One of your comments that resonated with me was the one about Jason Day and his back problems. As an idea that might be worth thinking about for a future video, are there any other moves that are sometimes promoted in golf teaching that in your opinion increase the chance of injury ( to back, hips, wrists .....) ?
Thanks John - yes there are; will add to my list do next week for sure. Stay tuned on Friday for a fantastic video I am super proud about. Thanks for the inspiration for the video! Hope you’re well Sir. 😊
Got to love the over exaggerated demo’s 😊 On a rainy day should get your associates to discuss golf methods and teaching pros and cons-probably would be over very quickly. But would love to hear your insights with others who teach, or play at high level, just not “buying in”… noticed one of the fitters is a scratch but has technique vastly different from set up to release. Certainly can be capable with many different approaches. Guess if one is scratch ,one might care less about other methods…????
Thanks Stuart the orange whip I use makes the left leg pressure and straighten to start my downswing I don’t know weather you are a fan of this for a warm up exercise but it does give you the feeling you are trying to explain.
Thanks for sharing Stuart ... I appreciate you breaking this down into terms of "cause and effect" rather than "forced movements" ... I/m not deflecting from the topic but you mentioned the Faldo era ... Who was longer off the tee with drives .. Faldo or Norman ?
No problem at all!! Norman was comfortably longer than Norman, Faldo was very long before the Leadbetter changes. By todays standard, Faldo’s build, akin to a beefed up Bryson, compared to the leaned out version. Make up your own decisions. Different style of golf back then of course; it wasn’t a Faldo bashing remark, just what we were trying to do back then. Hope that helps 😊
Lovely, I certainly don’t want to come across anything other than light hearted, informative coaching. Thanks as ever for taking the time to comment GG 😊
Really liking your animated, slightly over exaggerated versions of what you see from other coaches. I needed a good laugh😂 Anyways, great topic and thanks for covering this! Love your coaching style and concepts about the golf swing. Just curious, who influenced you the most in terms of teaching the golf swing?
Thanks for the kind words Randal - yeh biggest influence on my life were the Australian Institute of Sport, who gave me a different way of looking at the golf swing and performance. From there, it’s been 30 years of discovery making sure I steered clear of disciples and go to the main source. Spent time with all the household names of coaching. Best wishes Stu 😊
Was interested to ask ,,once i had watched this a couple of times the wrist angle ((set) or tweak at the top of backswing is that something worth expanding on as i feel this is an area which is important in understanding ,,,shaping the shots cheers Graham
I get the toe to heel heel to to pressure, but does pressure ever go to the outside of either feet or does it stay on the insidepart of the feet in both back down and troughswing? Cant't find any info with you about this and i am not subscribed to anyone else anymore so i hope you understand my question and will clarify😅
Hi Charles I will do a video on exactly your question my friend, without issue. Will be way more insightful than a worded answer. Thank you for your support of my little channel! Best wishes Stu 😊
Calm down Stu ///// lol Makes absolute sence in terms of our Physiology ,,back pain is certainly on the cards when you strain the spine and knees ,,tried that a long time ago ,,and yes its nonsence,,,the extra power you get from your way of turning is quite incredible ,,for much less effort ,,simple explanation for a complex subject ,,great video
Leave it to Stuart to call out all of the horrible advice we golfers get from coaches who don’t really know what they’re talking about whether in person lessons or on RUclips. What’s even worse than screwing up your swing are the myriad injuries that occur from the bad advice we receive from these misinformed coaches, regardless of their intent. The secret is finding a coach, like Stuart , which is hard to do, who really knows what he or she is talking about and not some nonsense that is not based on science, biomechanics, and natural kinematic sequence. Thanks for exposing the misinformation that we golfer get and recognize
Thanks bud - I certainly dont want to be a renagade to golf instruction, but I do want to start calling out information that is by far and a way useless to 99% of the golfing population. Our sport is joyous and gives back so much, with the increase in participation, our job is to keep people playing, improving and enjoying. Standby this Friday, I have video coming out from a 2 x 1 hour session with a new client to show whats possible, for everyone. Hope you enjoy. Thanks as ever for your support buddy.
Coach your training is excellent! I have learned a great deal about foot work and downswing. Toe-Heel. Heel-Toe. Pull, Press, Rotate. But coach, is it truly necessary to use the name of Christ in vain to make a point?
Guess we all want to get transformational insight for free and no self search to understand and figure out? He seems pretty generous with sharing and showing. He probably learns each day from our comments and wishful thinking. You might be surprised to lean how much you can spend at an extended golf school and how little you actually learn or improve.
That was the whole point Patrick; there “wasn’t” a remedy for the knee, was all about the feet and pelvis. Shame you didn’t hang around BUT I appreciate the feedback as ever. Hugely grateful my friend. 😊
@@GoodGolfCoaching your channel is not for many people at all it seems😂tik-tok is for your grandchildren, I'll stick with the guys that know how to get things done on YT

Great explanation regarding MISTAKES of „famous“ Golfcoaches (X-factor Jimy!!) for instance Stuart👍
Thanks Rudi, appreciate it my man! 👊
Good one Stuart. You busted many myths. 😊
I did find Padraig Harringtons video on this subject to be quite insightful.
Glad I’ve helped, and Padraig too 😊😁
💯 percent great teaching . Need a lesson with you Stu . Keep up the good work.
George Gankas comes to mind 😲
Thanks David! Look forward to meeting you at some point down the road 😊
