Please help!!! 3/28/23 I have a serious question and I need an answer within the next two days before I take my test. I am a previous CDL holder of close to 10 years I am retaking the test for class b. In this video you said 60 PSI when fanning the brakes. I recently failed a pre-trip inspection because the instructor said it was 50 psi and I said 55 psi. According to my States handbook It says 55 PSI. So what is the real answer is it 50, 55, or 60 PSI for the warning light and signal??? Good video btw
Hey so in the Michigan manual section 11 it says 55 psi so if he fails you for saying 55 psi go to the manual and show him thank you I hope to hear you passed in my other video the link to Michigan cdl is in the description .
I passed as the ACE of my trucking school!!! Thank you, thank you! I watched this EVERY morning on the way to school. Memorized it word for word like a song!! I start training with my new hazmat job on MONDAY! THANK YOU LADY!
I passed!! This video was great help. This may seem like a lot, but trust me you will get used to it. Study your pretrip everyday (especially the brake test) y’all got this

Too all da ones working on getting your CDL. Trust the process. Yes the pre trip & air brakes might be long but repetition is key you’ll get it and make your own version of it. Hope everyone Passes 😇
I just past my permit @160 in N.C. I go to the yard tomorrow. I need to watch this over and over till its memorized. Except I will be doing automatic not manual.
Wow the only thing we check here in sweden is air pressur , brakes and signals in the cab. There is alot of checks. Plus here you did your brake pressure after you had started the engine which is a direct fail in our driver skill exam
Hey Nakita just wanna say thank you for explaining the incab you helped me so much I wish I can meet you and learn more from you but thank u for this video
Hello everybody I apologize I don’t come on here often, I use to teach 60psi also because all schools were teaching it but that was incorrect. I know an examiner personally who told me before some of our students took the test that the state gave them orders to fail all schools that says 60psi because the book clearly says 55psi in chapter 11 in the back of the book. (Before it drops below 55psi) That day they failed all schools even ours because our lead would not listen. We then changed it and I made this video. No matter what anyone says if you know that book says what you said, you take that book and stand on it, because a lot of schools and even some new examiners don’t know and make that horrible mistake that impacts your life.. check the book for your state. Good luck everybody.
This is great instruction, I would make sure that no students are standing directly in path of your power unit while you are performing a break check for safety reasons.
im in class now for my class A cdl its so longgggg an boringggggg 😢 but after you say everything over an over an do it a couple times it locks in your mind you cant fail
It’s crazy how they changed so many thing that we have to check now !! I just got my CDL and it was so simple and everything we had to check was reversed from the way you did it 😂😂
I hate these oral exams. I can memorize any song but that don't mean I can sing. I passed my pre trips before but it's just more nerve racking as far as I'm concerned
Here in Illinois the pretrip is too strict. They will fail you if you don’t have one hand on steering wheel when doing incab. The examiners want all the gauge readings and proper operating ranges. They also wanna hear the 7 steps on how you’re going to prepare the truck for applied and fan down tests.

She passed I guess but you don't hold the clutch while the truck is in gear and off. The truck will still roll when checking your service brakes, resulting in a potential impact or impacts or injury (or injuries).
Well done but what she did last didn’t confirm she didn’t have a air leak as she states. The applied pressure test did but the air loss warning / buzzer and the tractor protection valves pop out simulated air loss.
Only thing I see from the video that should not have been done is turning that cab on with people standing in front. You never know what could go wrong and make the cab move out and possibly hit someone or something. So make sure everything and everyone on the outside is clear and off the way before turning that vehicle on. Other then that great job 👏
MAYBE SO BUT YOU WILL FAIL IF A DRIVER INSTRUCTER WHERE TO BE INSIDE THE CAB WITH YOU BECAUSE IT IS STILL A SAFTEY MEASURE BEING THAT BRAKES CAN SLIP. BUT GREAT JOB 👏
Yes in Oklahoma is little harder than this. We have to mention all gauges and the proper operation level on each one. Oil. BTW 40.60 Water temp. Btw 180.210 Voltage meter btw 12.14 Def gauge full Fuel gauge full Primary and secondary air pressure gauge btw 120.140. 😭😭😭🤣🤣
Been watching this over & over. I start my yard training @160 driving academy in Houston,Texas hoping to have this memorized just as your teaching it before my start date June 27th!! Such a great example but what if your doing this in a automatic vehicle. Not sure if I wanna learn how to drive a Manuel got enough to remember already.
Just remember when you do your inspection and you talk about your spare fuses you need to let the inspector know if there are circuit breaker or a fuses two big differences
You don't need to know all this stuff to get a permit a permit is a computer test by the BMV and they do not ask you anything about any cab test or air brake test or air leak test or service brake test,
I now attend 160 and that is "NOTHING" like the way we do it here in Milwaukee. Maybe the test has changed. I wish it were that simple. Goodgoddamighty.
most schools have both, also did you know most states have money to pay for people to go through truck driving school? You literally pay nothing and the state funds it because of the job outlook and driver shortage. they do the same for nursing and other similar occupations that are short handed
We’ll explained im having trouble learning this but ain’t 4 brakes PETS? And don’t you have to read ur needles when the brakes pop put? Not just in range?
Truck can’t move to the left and right when your holding your steering wheel moving up 6 feet hands off steering wheel when your moving forward if your testing in Florida or it’s an automatic fail
Please help!!! 3/28/23

Whewwww! This brought me back to 2019 at 160 here in Flint, MI. I was so nervous but I passed on the 3rd time
55 psi that 😢instructor was wrong for that
Approximately 60psi air warning buzzer should activate before air pressure drops below 55psi
I passed as the ACE of my trucking school!!! Thank you, thank you! I watched this EVERY morning on the way to school. Memorized it word for word like a song!!

Thanks pooh I been trying that too...I should be graduating March
Thank a million I watched you for a few hours a week and today I passed my class A .
That’s was a professional explanation. 10/10.
