It was over when Liverpool drew United and the vet players coming back had no fight like Salah, Nunez, Szobo, Endo, Jones and Konate. These are the players that let the club down. While they were gone the youngsters had this team winning games and had the team top of the league. This is why Liverpool have failed.

True but defeats are ok we’ve only had 4. It’s the draws that have cost us and all the horrendous misses. Draws at home to Man Utd, Arsenal & Man City should have all been easy wins. There’s 6 points. Gravenberch open goal miss off the bar inside the 6 yard box at Brighton. Nunez open goal miss at Luton. There’s 4 more points.

The title race was effectively over after Crystal Palace and then ended officially against Everton. Was telling my friends that any further wins from today on mean absolutely nothing. Klopp really is done and needs a break, we can see that now but the team has let him down massively. The decline has been rapid and monumental. I'm so disappointed in the lads. All that effort earlier in the season only to fall flat on their faces at the final hurdle and Klopp will not go out with a bang but a whimper. Such a sad end to what has been, mostly, a beautiful nine years.

Glass half full - we were in a title challenge this season, won a trophy and will qualify for Champions league next season. Being in the title race and winning something is what we hope for and Jurgen has done exactly that after rebuilding midfield, albeit not a major trophy, we still added to our trophy haul. Its disppointing to have crashed out of europe and lost the title but overall we still competed at the very top this season, won something and were miles better than last season. Jurgen overall has been top class and given us one of the best liverpool teams ever and greatest seasons I have every experienced (title winning season). If he had more gas in the tank, we would compete at the top level again and again, but will move on with having achieved great memories and success.

To be fair, we over-achieved for much of the season. Following last year's debacle, we would have settled for top four. And they made us believe... but it was built on false hope. Most of our wins came through sheer perseverance and late strikes, rather than dominating games. Add to this mediocre runs from our main rivals made us look better than we were.... I love Klopp, but he probably should have announced he was leaving at the end of the season. The team has been in free-fall since then.... A change now is probably the best thing we can look forward to. Another season of being also-rans is just not acceptable.

This is worse than the final season of game of thrones. Also, Salah has to go, his character and personality hasn't been great in a while and today showed his arrogance and hubris. The question is (or should be) what can turn a whole team off in a couple of weeks.
It is not that difficult if you put the timeline together and find the point when Salah and VVD forgot to play football and Ali put his house on sale.

The disappointment is not yet done, I think. Can see both Villa and Spurs beating Liverpool. The team is exhausted, and done. Might even go into the final day of the season against Wolves needing to win to secure a Champions League spot. That would be a cruel way for Klopp’s tenure to peter out.

That argument between Salah and Klopp says it all. The dressing room is in shambles. Salah has served us well but you don’t argue with the boss. Salah should never play any game now and clearly show that he is gone. Time to play the players that want to stay and fight and let go of the dead wood like Tsimakas, Salah and Jones. Need to strengthen the spine with CB, DM and a true striker. Play Nunez on the wing and play Trent as a Midfielder and also get a RB cause Trent is the worst defender in the league honestly.

Players like Fowler Owen Gerrard Torres Suarez all came and failed to win the league. Salah came and we finally won it. Now fickle fans calling him deadwood even though he's been a best goal scorer and assist maker this season. Disgraceful.
Funny how everyone knows Salah is going to be sold this year and Klopp decided he's tired. Klopp never wanted Salah, he wanted Julian Brandt. Michael Edwards pushed for Salah. Would have been interesting to see how Klopp would have done if Salah never came to Liverpool.....

I hate this "Tired" label with us... I don't hear other clubs that play similar amounts of games bringing this up as much. We have a big squad of players, ok we have a lot of younger players but they have proved their worth when needed this season. The big guns came back from injury and never delivered and the young lads back into the shadows. I think that was a big mistake looking back. Another note was I thought this was Gomez's best season for Liverpool, but was dropped when Robbo came back? It all turned around that time. Playing the big names when out of form - Salah, Szobo, Nunez, Robbo - I think as cost us... kept trying to bring these players on and no improvement.
Would have loved to have seen how this season would have unfolded if we would have kept the kids in... they just showed more hunger.
Worst goodbye to a great manager I can remember these last few weeks. He deserved more but some of these last few games, lack of plan B, starting lines ups and subs has to be on Klopp... if players are so out of form you don't keep bringing them on... I bet Danns has been chomping at the bit for weeks... not had a look in. Couldn't have done any worse.
Maybe we need a new Captain... VVD is a giant of a defender but maybe too laid back to captain this team of half arsers.
    Rant over. Gutted.

Season over now? I’m sorry your mind is a little bit outdated. Well the season for title contention was already over on 31 Aug 2023 when Juergen Klopp wasted a total of 270m underperforming players (except Mac) over the past two years. Whatever happen from then on is just a living validation of all his cumulative mistakes over the past two years.

Sorry to disagree with you But saying it's just The Carabo Cup ???? IT'S SILVERWARE.. Some teams (mentioning no names - fighting relegation year in year out around the bottom of the league) would be over the moon with that & 3rd in the league . Jurgen is a Merseyside hero up there with Shanks, Paisley, Faigan & Kenny, no one on Merseyside to come close to them guys. Jurgen has been great won everything, he needs a rest now with his family. Thanks for all the silverware Jurgen! Hero & Legend. YNWA.
