    ABOUT US
    We’re the Lockwoods. And we’re traveling the world to experience-up close and in person-all the natural wonders and distinct cultures that our kids would otherwise be consuming only through textbooks and TV. We think it’s a better way to learn and we’re working hard to fund this little experiment in the hope that our kids will grow up wiser, kinder, and more grateful for the beauty of our diverse planet and its people.

    I think that her explanation of the difference between the white rhino and the black ones was the best of Erin's video bits ever. Clear and concise even a dummy head like me understood it. The very best of Erin!

    Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Again!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    As a Biologist and all around Lover of Animals, I am enjoying this video so much that I have watched it twice.
    Thank you ABC Family.
    I was also worried about you Guys and the Guide because the Bull Elephant was in a state of Musth. They can be very aggressive when under this state.
    I am happy that nothing perilous happened.

    They say that elephants understand and grieve death more than any other animal! They have been known to perform burial rituals with covering with leaves, branches, soil. I remember several years back there was a news story about a mama elephant whose baby had died and she carried that baby around for weeks!

    husband speaking If the rangers find a dead elephant, will they take the tusks to keep them from being stolen
    and sold on the black market ?

    • @AlwaysBeChanging
      @AlwaysBeChanging  9 месяцев назад +1

      That is an excellent question and I don’t have the answer. But I imagine they would. They are very committed to deterring and stopping poaching.

    Hi! Thank you so much for this, it is truly helpful for us planning our trip. We are actually considering andbeyond and are looking into Kruger, Sabi, and Phinda. Seeing as you went to both Phinda and Kruger, which would you recommend between the two if we are looking at seeing the Big 5, seeing animals in action- hunts, herds, great game drives, and the like? Did you also consider Sabi and why did you not choose to go there, if you did?
    Thank you so much again!
