@@acidous1276 yes, but using FSX myself, at 80% resolution (still a marginal 10~20 fps boost) it's pretty much seemsless, less than 60% isn't great, but let's be honest, your not gonna use it to go from 20 to 60 fps.

The entire point of technology like dlss and fsr should be to bring life out of the low end GPUs because the majority have them and it creates a different between non playable to a playable experience. Not against the fact that higher end GPUs need it too since they have more heavy things to take care of like ray tracing but it is what it is. AMD has done something that will be praised by a huge crowd of low end pc gamers who cannot get their hands on the newer GPUs or cannot afford them. Good job AMD.

You see, there is a problem: that wouldn't make NEW hardware sell more, it would actually make it sell less. And you don't want that as a business.
AMD is acting nice right now as part of the competition war. If AMD were in a place of monopolist they would have maximized immediate profits just like nVidia, using the dominant position on the matket.

It can probably work on a per game basis, they did say it works on all current Nvidia hardware
As far as I understand it FSR support on a driver level won't happen even for AMD's drivers since it's something that has to be implemented on a game-by-game basis. Probably could be implemented on the engine level as well so hopefully, we see some of the big-name engines implement it.

A dozen other chips make a gpu and as it happens 1080 tj has far better components and co processors compared to 3060. And at the time it was the alpha card which means it gets top quality in everything else too. From power connectors to output ports, 1080 ti will have everything better than the 3060

The interesting thing about this is:
AMD is still embracing OpenGPU as a concept even though they have a good lead on CPU and GPU progress, they aren't giving in to mass greed to try to pull a Nvidia with the market and expensive price to entry.
You would assume only underdogs would go Open source stuff to build a market and grab attention, but Intel isn't doing that and Nvidia isn't doing that at all.

Most of them are absolute clowns who have no idea what anything they're doing is. If software engineers did their job, for which they get paid a lot, games would run on 10 year old hardware. Nvidia pumped a lot of money into DLSS. Proprietary tech will die if an open standard comes out. It does not even have to beat it.

And this is just "quality mode" in 1440p with EPIC preset(we can get down to High and experience will be same, and also FSR to Balance mode and can get 60fps i think

Yet still it will be blurry on nvidia (as shown in presentation) because Nvidia gpus are not optimized for fsr and it will propably take nvidia a long time to start like it was with freesync on their gpus.
So it‘s nice to have on the gtx cards but i wouldn‘t hope to get great results.
At least intel tweeted they are interested in FSR with their upcoming gpus (see gamer meld video)

Fsr does not work AT ALL like dlss.
I think that's incredibly important for the PS5 and the Series X. Plus, it's a huge boost to gamers that simply can't get their hands on a better video card than they currently own. Very good stuff!

You might want to consider switching to a 6000 series AMD GPU, if you've got some money to spare. I got a 6950xt for 600 EUR.
Or even 7000 series. I live in a very expensive country for electronics, so when it's got prices like these even for me, I'm sure it's going to be a great deal pretty much everywhere.

Tbf most of the low end cards on the market can now easily do 1080p 60 fps. I don't understand people's obsession with 4k gaming, when they are playing on a 40" or lower panel. If you want to play 4k, you should be doing it with 65" minimum panel and at least 8 feet from your eyes with a 5.1 surround system. If you're 4k gaming at a desk with some shitty overpriced headset, you're wasting money and those kinds of people drive really bad marketing decisions in the electronics industry.

Ive been team green for over 10 years. Been seeing the trend for AMD since 2016 and all I can say is that AMD is making me transition to their technology and I believe will continue to be a good investment. I love what AMD is doing for their consumers. Though nvidia always has something to counter this type of technology. Still, AMD will finally reign as the leading manufacturer of chips.
