Ultimately he is right, you dont need the absolute best cpu for gaming. But the way he goes about it... I discovered userbenchmark on my own before I knew about the memes, this is hillarious
tbf there are types of games that actually benefit a lot from that. RTS, a lot of Sims and so on. FS2020 for example benefited a lot from the 7800X3D's cache compared to the 14900k back then. You dont need the best components in general but everything has its benefits. In the end its all about how much money you want to spend on your hobby
It is true but the ironic part is that if the 285K or whatever beat the 9800X3D by that much he would absolutely be saying that the best is the best and if you want the best gaming experience that's the one to get. Claiming the 13/14600K are good enough for around $200 when the 7600X (which performs pretty much the same in games) is conveniently ignored is enough to show how the guy is an absolute fanboy clown.
57% of gamers, according to the steam hardware survey, play on 1080p. Yet this website claims that 1080p gaming benchmarks don't show "real world scenario" performance. How delusional can one be?
*UB doesn’t understand the first thing about benchmarking:* * Testing at 2160p the game is (usually) GPU bound which is useless in a CPU review. * Testing at 1080 resolution (or lower) makes it trivial to show if the game is CPU bound.
@@Borizz183 You're wrong. Many people will use a 9800X3D at 1080p, e.g. strategy/simulation enthusiasts, and competitive/esports gamers. This site once seemed like a good idea, being able to compare every part of your computer with the rest of the world seemed pretty cool, that was 80 years ago.
I mean that's still a good idea, unfortunately though that's not what you get, instead you get a raging Intel fanboy lunatic
@@futuzait is still the easiest place to get benchmark comparisons. It has slant in the reviews and importance of different performance aspects both in terms of which ones show up first and how they are weighted for overall scoring. If you know what you are looking at, you can ignore the slant.
@@yahm0n The problem is that even the points system itself has been severely manipulated, to most people it is not obvious that the site is BS
@@yahm0n if you know what you're looking at. You're not looking at UserBenchmark at all. Period. You're using Passmark or people who literally dedicate their youtube channels to benchmarking games with new hardware releases.. there's a ton of those.
You can use the benchmark itself and keep your own database. The test itself isn't flawed, it's how they contort the data that is. I have no horse in the AMD-Intel Race. Never did. I get what I need based on what I can afford. If it's AMD, cool. If it's Intel, cool. I type this on an AMD laptop. My battle station is Intel. Have to say though, I am really eyeing up that 9800X3D. A chip that has more performance than a 14900k without any of the degradation issues is really appealing.
i still dont get why that site doesn't suffer from 24/7 cyber attacks or just people trolling them. I mean ridicule is one thing and pointing out how garbage their bias is, but this just straight up misinformation. Every single AMD product suffers from the lies and on google they are often the number one result. Mindboggling really.
Not worth the time
@b0mberr330 Yes, it is. I’ve know plenty of people who have went with intel because of their bias over the years. It’s silly that AMD haven’t taken them to court.

@@randomwaffler yes, blatant lying is disinformation
This piece of site convinced me to get 7700x instead of 7800X3D. (I was already determined to build AMD pc) I didn't read the b-s below and just looked at the numbers.
When I got the pc, I learned that I made a mistake. I'll curse that site owner to stubbing his toe on a table every single morning.
@nicz7694 Of course
@nicz7694 in fact the game we are making is currently also cpu bound :D
It is true but the ironic part is that if the 285K or whatever beat the 9800X3D by that much he would absolutely be saying that the best is the best and if you want the best gaming experience that's the one to get. Claiming the 13/14600K are good enough for around $200 when the 7600X (which performs pretty much the same in games) is conveniently ignored is enough to show how the guy is an absolute fanboy clown.
@superrob1500 Aye, makes sense
57% of gamers, according to the steam hardware survey, play on 1080p. Yet this website claims that 1080p gaming benchmarks don't show "real world scenario" performance. How delusional can one be?
*UB doesn’t understand the first thing about benchmarking:*
* Testing at 2160p the game is (usually) GPU bound which is useless in a CPU review.
* Testing at 1080 resolution (or lower) makes it trivial to show if the game is CPU bound.
but i mean they dont really show real world usage
to be fair...
Absolutely NO ONE is gonna be using a 9800x3D and only play at 1080P.
@@Borizz183 Found the person who has never watched or participated in "pro" eSports. /s
@@Borizz183 You're wrong. Many people will use a 9800X3D at 1080p, e.g. strategy/simulation enthusiasts, and competitive/esports gamers. A ton of games benefit from extra cache even if you don't have a high-end GPU, and plenty of people who play those games don't remotely care about graphics quality or resolution.
How much does Userbenchmark pay Google to stay on top of every search result. They’re spending their life savings just to stay relevant.
SEO is truly the worst
Yeah and all they talk about is amd’s “focus on marketing over delivering quality products”. The hypocrisy is insane
The Usersbenchmark itself has no courage to compare it to U285K
They aren't even Intel fans just certified AMD haters.
“Games are generally limited by the GPU” tell that my R5 3600, got an instant FPS Boost with the 5700x3D lol
I'm really tempted to upgrade my 3600 to 5700X3D. How big of a difference is it in 4k? I've been using Ryzen 5 3600 with RTX 3080 for about 4 years now, and I wonder if the X3D is worth it.

Looks like userbenchmark admins have disliked.
UserBenchmark was my go to for comparing products just realized few years ago how biased they are.
is there a better alternative? hard to use/support a site so biased
I mean the UI is very easy to understand and use with a bunch of convincing enough numbers, if only the owner is not a brain dead fanboy trying to win the love of intel
Because they weren't biased until a few years ago haha
With how ridiculous they act you would think they were paid by intel or something but no, they're just doing it for the love of the game 💀
