I’ve had my HKS adjustable springs installed for about a year now and I hate them. They have been noisy since day one. Every dip in the road and I have to brace myself for that scraping noise or making that right turn into a gas station that has a ramped entrance driveway. I went online and found some eibach spring sleeves to try and dampen the noise from the springs touching each other and that helped for about a couple days but then the noise just came back. Putting the car in sport mode helps out because the shocks are stiffened a bit and the noise goes away, but in comfort mode it sucks.
trying using hks recomended setting which is 25mm front and 20mm rear drop any lower and you do lose out on most of the spring handaling benefit since hks tested them on this settings.
So then what’s the point of buying adjustable springs if they’re only good on the one position that they have preset for you? Might as well buy some regular eibach springs or something. Instead I think I’ll go with some real coilovers. Man were these a waste of $800.
Hi, No noise on our install, we have done several so we know the tricks of a proper install , BMW suspension is a lot different than the typical Japanese car.
@neptune_8six tbh i been following the a90s since it was just the ft1 and i thought they had not released a manual untill this model year bc tbh i wouldve waited to get a manual

Ohlins are better, also more expensive.

2023 was the first year they released mk5's with a manual. Some people change a90 for a91 but it's all basically the same

No you're right. '23 was the first year they put in a manual
Not torquing anything to spec and tightening bushings at full droop. You people are beyond lazy.
