Losing the Oakland Raiders, Golden State Warriors and the A's in the span of five years has to be absolutely brutal for the people Oakland. I feel for ya Oaklanders.
The saddness really choked me up , didn't think it would be so emotional.. end of an era. I've been a Northern California resident for 69 yrs so I've seen a thing or two...thanks for being there and supporting the fans...
CAN'T THANK YOU ENOUGH , Adam !! Tears are flowing !! From the bottom of my heart and from the spirit of my Mom who was a proud season ticket holder for 40 years. Means everything that you and Philly Captain made the trek up for this sad occasion. So many great memories !!!
Thank you Adam for documenting our last Oakland A's game and capturing every angle in and out of the Coliseum. It was a pleasure speaking with you and the Philly Captain before the game
This is a terrible day in Baseball history. The Oakland A's leaving Oakland is something that just should not happen. It would be like the Yankees leaving New York. Sad day for the A's.
Thank you so much Adam for your video. You showed the stadium in all its glory. I am a life-long A's fan who spent yesterday watching on TV crying my eyes out and watching your video brought the emotions back. You did it with respect. Thank you again.
Thank you, Adam, for capturing this moment, i have been a lifelong A's fan, and this has been a tragedy, went to 1989 World Series Game 2, saw the Warriors raise 3 banners, went with my parents, brought my kids. i love Oakland. I really appreciate you coming all the way from Florida to capture this moment. Never thought my favorite RUclipsr would be covering the demise of Oakland sports. From the Raiders, then the Warriors, now the A's. Eff Fisher. Hell yah, Krazy George, he lives in my town in Santa Cruz, crazy seeing him in the grocery store, and around town. Love these baseball videos Adam.
Hey Adam, I really appreciate this video, I was born and raised in the East Bay rooting for those Oakland A’s. No party like an Oakland party, it was always a blast tailgating for Raiders and A’s games. I’m in Texas now & wasn’t able to be there so thank you for this video. Hard to believe Oakland has lost all of its sports teams…😢
How awesome to see Three times as many fans at the final game vs opening day. The crowd sure meant something to the players. I have been through something similar when my childhood stadium closed and also when our football team was sneaking out of the city in the middle of the night. Sports franchises are crazy that's for sure.
There's a lot of history in that parking lot! Thank you for this memorable opportunity to cherish something that is going to be just a memory. Onward and upward! So many people with promark sticks in the stands that's pretty cool to see!
ADAM!!!! You didn't let me down. As an A's fan since 1986, i want to say thank you for making to Oakland and actually attending this special day as i couldn't because I've moved to Texas 2 years ago. Oakland is where i fell in love with baseball, and it will always be in my heart. I'll miss the Coliseum and all thatit'ss done for me in my life. Where Mark McGwire became my idol and the A's my favorite team. So thank you, sir.
Thanks Guys for showing up and for your support, very appreciative. I saw you guys walking by😢😢😢 GO OAKLAND From a fan who attended his first game in 1972 with my late Father after immigrating from Portugal. We were just learning the game but that memory hit me hard today.
It was nice for us all to feel like we are all one team. ❤ I do feel bad for the officers and workers for having to deal with the mess and immature behavior. I understand why people would be really sad over this place closing, especially since the wave was created there. Awesome vid dude. 🎉
You and the Philly Captain were on TV! I was watching the broadcast of the game and the A's manager speaking to crowd after the game, the broadcast zoomed in on you moving your camera around for a few seconds and I could see the Philly Captain off to your right as well (with the Phillies hat on).
😢 ⚾️ Regardless of the situation it is always so sad when a team moves. Even if there aren’t as many fans as in the good times this shows there are still plenty passionate fans out there. Thanks for documenting this, Adam.
This makes me cry . Memories . Ricky , Dennis , Mark , Jose . Rollie , and Catfish too. Wow.😂😢 thanks for being there to document this day . The only way, firsthand Woo style .
Way cool moment. Looked like an absolute blast. Crazy how a city can just have their baseball team taken away like that. Can't imagine. Great video once again
*Companies are Sprinting to get out of California.* *You can't blame em.* I used to go to the Colosseum back in the day with my step dad and brothers to watch the Oakland Raiders play. Great memories.
Oakland Coliseum, a memory I will never forget I've seen football games, baseball games, and major concerts. My favorite was the 70s World Series run... I wish the organization the best of luck in Las Vegas allegedly.
Adam, thanks so much for sharing this event with us. My late folks were friends with 70s A's star Dick Green - we were all from Rapid City SD - and I have many fond childhood memories of watching them play.
The A’s were once the Philadelphia Athletics. Philly Captain could have worn a throw back hat or shirt to just to show his respect for them being apart of Philly’s sports history.
i watch your vlogs every day with my dad and it made us so happy that you went to this game and filmed it. we are lifelong Oakland A's fans and i grew up going to this stadium going to A's games with my family. my heart has been so heavy with sadness. this place felt like home because going to games were a major part of my childhood. this week and especially yesterday have been really hard grieving the loss of both losing the oakland A's and the A's being the 3rd team we have lost from oakland. thank you for being there and supporting our team.
I figured you we’re gunna do this. I looked for you. It was an amazing day!!!!!! Sad but a great W for A’s fan and the Bay Area. Thank you Oakland for all the life long memories!!!!!!!
Adam thank you for doing this of my beloved A’s i couldn’t make the game but i have your video to always remember how much we loved that place and that team. thank you
I remember that earthquake I was in Fresno, California and I was watching on TV as the TV was shaking. Oh my God you’re bringing back fond memories wow God bless you love your channel.
Glad I was able to catch one more game vs the Yankees over the weekend. As an Angels fan living in the Bay, I remember all those years where the final series of the season meant something for both our teams and a packed Coliseum. Thank you A's fans for the years of fun and rivalry and goodbye to baseball's last dive bar.
Thank you for the footage! That birds eye shot of JJ Bleday's catch (17:55) was priceless. Our family's ceremonious last A's game ever was back in August when the Dodgers came to town (stadium was 90% wearing blue). We lost the game so didn't get to hear "Celebration" by Kool And The Gang. Nice to hear it in your video. We did end the night by getting onto the field for fireworks night. Plucked some grass which I took home and sprinkled on my lawn. Couldn't bring myself to spend any more money on Fisher's organization after that. Glad I was able to watch your video for free.
It was nice to see you on the broadcast after the game! I've been an A's fan for over 40 years and so many great memories going with my mom since I was a kid.
Oaklander for 35 years. I couldn't be there, so thank you for this video. I remember the championship teams from the 70's: Reggie Jackson, Sal Bando, Joe Rudi, Rollie Fingers, Campy... Heart officially broken.
Not big baseball person but being a NorCal girlie its an end of an era. My dad worked at Oakland airport in the 80s and seeing the stadium was always iconic. Especially all the concerts! Day on the green was huge in the 80s. Glad the fans came out to say good bye!
Thank you for documenting this very sad event! I have seen many games at the Oakland Coliseum - mostly in the Rickey Henderson days! Saw him steal soooo many bases and remember doing the wave with Crazy George!!
This business component of American sports never ceases to amaze me. The fact that this kind of thing happens semi regularly in the States is very strange. Sport is community and belonging. A sports institution is supposed to represent the community that it grew up in. Its supposed to give back to the people that have long followed the team, through good and bad. So sad!! I really feel for those fans especially for exactly what you said. America’s favorite past time, generations going to those games. Makes me so sad for them. :(
Born and raised SF Bay Area dude here. I was lucky enough to see several sporting and concert events at the Oakland Complex over the decades. My family were fans of the California Golden Seals (the ORIGINAL NHL team in the Bay Area before the San Jose Sharks), and we saw several games at the Oakland Arena. Don't even get me started on Day On The Green concerts! DAMN!!!! Krazy George at 5:23 !!!!!! So glad to see him still kicking!
We in Vegas are loving it... should have supported your team and they would still be there. Don't know how many times that stadium was half full or less...can't keep a team with that kind of support....
I remember drinking in that parking lot at the a stadium back in the 1980s oh my God thank you for posting this video. Thank you so much. My memories are still alive.
Thank you for going and recording this. As time goes on this will be looked back as a historic and sad moment in baseball history. SuperSonics fans faced a very similar situation but didn’t have the technology in 08 to capture the day. So incredibly sad for Oakland fans, such a passionate community that got fucked time and time again
My first time to the Coliseum I was eight years old and it was April of 1968, NY vs Oak. Micky Mantle homered in the first and the A's walked it off in 11. My parents were from Philly and their first date was an A's game in 1948. My Mom's first time to Shibe Park was 1936, her all time favorite A's player was Wally Moses. My brother worked for the organization at the Coliseum in the mid 80's to mid 90's. By that time I had moved to Alaska, but I always made it down to the Coliseum for World Series and Grateful Dead New Years runs. I snuck into the 89 World Series by going through the front office with my brother, shaking Sandy Alderston's hand along the way (the Haas family, now those were owners). I raised two A's fans in Alaska by being their LL & HS BB coach/umpire and taking them to a week of Spring Training games every March for a decade 96 to 06. A favorite memory being Mohamed Ali patting my son on the head and giving him an autograph on Barry Zito's leg on the cover of the program while he entered an A's Spring Training game in the 2nd inning to a standing ovation, that and all the foul balls and autographs. I've watched damn near every A's game since streaming has been a thing, and before that we used to get the A's on TV sometimes on Sundays, the highlight being watching Dallas Braden's perfect game with my son or taking both my young kids to the Bar to watch the 20 wins in a row. I took off work for Game 162. I made my last trip to the Coliseum in May, for the Texas series, finishing off with a Double Header sitting in Sec. 119 right where you ended up at the top of the A's tunnel. I always hoped that the Coliseum would have become the Fenway of the cookie cutter era. And now all that is going to be pulled up by the roots because of one man. FJF
We had both Raiders and A’s season tickets from about 1978 u til the Raiders left and then the As until 1989 when our family moved from the Bay Area. Im so mad at myself for not flying in for this game. Your video really captured the spirit of Oakland. You will not find more passionate fans anywhere. It’s criminal what has happened to East Bay sports.
Great video, Adam. Been going to games here ever since I was a kid. Got to see the Swinging A's of the 70's, took my son here when he was two. Can't believe MLB has allowed this to happen. 💚💛 forever!
Thanks Adam for recording this. Us San Diegans feel Oakland’s pain as we had our bolts stolen from us by that POS owner spanos. Keep your head up Oaktown, much love and respect to you all. Your SoCal brothers and sisters, peace.
Thank you for being there and showing us. For one day we were all A’s fans
No problem . I’m glad I was able to go
Gracias 🙏🏽 Por compartir este momento tan triste ! Buen trabajo 👍 muchachos
👌
32:58 Noooooo, you don't do that kind of sh* t Adam. You can't just go over to SF and start root for the Giants. it doesn't work like that.
Well said
This was an emotional video for me to watch. The A's are a big part of my growing up years in the East Bay. Countless games I attended.
Losing the Oakland Raiders, Golden State Warriors and the A's in the span of five years has to be absolutely brutal for the people Oakland. I feel for ya Oaklanders.
nah it’s a hell hole over here with the crime i don’t see any businesses investing in the bay
Hey at least the warriors just moved down the road and across the bay bridge 😂
@@cutc2k764 80's was their Golden Era!
Losing residents as well, but not the crime ,criminals, the gangs ,high taxes ,& high drug use ....those are going strong in Oakland
Based on a fairly large majority of the voters of Oakland, do they even care? Or is sports more meaningful than politics?
The saddness really choked me up , didn't think it would be so emotional.. end of an era. I've been a Northern California resident for 69 yrs so I've seen a thing or two...thanks for being there and supporting the fans...

WAY better than any of the news coverage!! This was great , Adam!!😃. Thank you so much for doing this video 🤗. 🌸
As a Rangers fan I was totally ok with loosing that last game, end of an era
losing
At least ur not an Astros fan. Cheaters.

Spotted you in the parking lot before the game and introduced myself. Super cool. Thanks for taking a little time to talk to me yesterday!

This is a terrible day in Baseball history. The Oakland A's leaving Oakland is something that just should not happen. It would be like the Yankees leaving New York. Sad day for the A's.
Just goes to show you how easy it is for some to just pack up and leave without a care in the world for who made them what they are.
Well done capturing the whole experience of it. One last chance to celebrate for their fans
