      I presume the packing strips are still in circular form when they trap a seal? Otherwise, how do they become so tight around the animal bodies?

    • @TalRohan
      @TalRohan 2 года назад +24

      @@dannesys this kind of thing is why I cut packing tape loops and anything like can packaging ..nothing goes in the bin that could trap an animal,If I can help it I don't buy that product and most things that make it through the door get cut up and recycled

    These videos are such a testament to the hard work you guys put in simply for the reward of helping another living being. Scanning, reporting, cataloging, running, driving, focusing, spending time, money, energy and all the care that goes into saving lives of animals that mostly don't understand you are helping them. If only everyone had this attitude. What a world! 😊 As always, the hard work you do does not go unappreciated!

      I wish we could somehow identify the boats and ships dumping their trash and fine them. Like those packing straps if that had to be stamped with place of origin it would help find out some of it. I know the fishing boats just consider the seals as competition for the fish and they want them dead. You scare the pee out of them,pretty funny!

    Well, I can't believe your video footage is such high quality- through running, dodging seal teeth, hanging off of a moving vehicle, holding your go pro with your mouth, weather, seal hugs and getting wee'd on by terrified seal pups! Is there anything you don't do?
    I have seen mylar balloons floating out in the open ocean- sea turtles were trying to eat them- we pulled them out of course. Sea turtles are notorious for eating plastic and unusual items that attract their attention. Do young seals eat trash sometimes like sea turtles? 🧡

    Hey Naude and Antoine.. another awesome day you spent. My friend Pete Bethune actually was involved in Seal rescuing in Namibia couple of years back. but he really fought the poachers. He's one of the greatest wildlife activists on this planet. Anyway. you just didi another awesome job there. Thanks a lot.

    The title should be 4 seals saved and 1 who loved our car....lol. Man, you could feel the tension released on that last guy....I bet he feels so much better.
