Me, a baritone:
So it CAN be done!!! _cries tears of joy_
if you like this, see Eric sing Jean Valjean's Soliloquy - plus all the other pieces he sings, such as "Billy's Soliloquy", they're all stellar. I'm his dad, but I promise you, I'm right.
@@GARTENPARADIES-BRANDENBURG here on RUclips type Eric Sargent and they'll both come up - enjoy!
Ah, dad you have a very talented son. 🙏
Some amazingly talented musicians have said that I’m not only a gifted musician, but I really know music! Lots of people can sing, yet he sang that so very well. Refreshing to hear such a gifted Baritone sing this! Even in the tenor range the song is scored too high. The difference between singing Schubert’s Ave Maria in A flat and B fiat is major, but not everyone can do it! Thanks for posting this performance!
I’m 70 and this is the favorite song of my life
Stumbled across this video, he has the most marvelous voice. Made my day.
Sublime. This young man should be on the stage ❤️
He has been, and will continue to be!
I'll never not giggle hearing "and I am old" from these baby faced singers. Beautiful performance though.
A stunning performance.
I've heard dozens of versions of this song and this is hands down the best.
Corina C. Was just about to write the same thing.
I've searched for baritone voice and found him and I'm stoked!!!! 🤩 Love his voice
Better, I think, than many of the supposed "greats" who've done it in the theater!
Only wish a conductor was there, the piano sounds amplified, would have had the pianist hold back, play softer. Such a wonderful performance! Deserves to perform at Carnegie Recital Hall as I did at that age.
Stunning performance
I love his style, so restrained and elegant - go Eric!
We just saw him as Sky Masterson in "Guys and Dolls" at the Old Log Theater. That's why I'm watching these. Thank you, Eric. Anyone who has a chance, get yourself out to the Old Log while you can.
What an incredible talent you are young man!
If you want to play Jean in the actual musical, THIS is the way to get there!
He has a sonorous voice. His vocal technique seems fine, too.
This singer has an amazing technique with clear, rich resonance throughout the range. It's the kind of natural placement and relaxed sound that makes this song a joy to listen to in the baritone register. Beautiful dynamics and falsetto that you really need to take on this iconic song!
What a wonderful future you have. Beautiful baritone from one so young.
I'm his dad, and you're correct, he hadn't quite yet turned 18.
His tone itself makes me want to cry; let alone the song itself. My mezzo-Soprano voice would love to duet with him one day; not that I could do his voice justice. BUT HIS JAWLINE COULD CUT CHEESE OMG
Beautiful ❤
Hermoso❤
I honestly think it would be awesomesauce if a bari played Valjean. This kid kills it and I would cast him if I were directing a production of Les Miz
he can also sing tenor, btw
What a gorgeous voice and brilliant performance. Hope you're having a successful career
Wow! Came here from the glee version, saw his mothers comment! Amazing voice!!! I'm sure you're very proud parents.
I love this song more when sung by baritone voice 😍
beautiful i must say

Meraviglioso!....
Well done!
Omg so good
Emocionante😊👏👏
Glad I took your advise. Your son has a wonderful talent and it was a pleasure to hear his marvelous voice. Very best of luck to him and you in the future.
+Allan Saunders may I ask, where you took my advice? Thanks!
+gergsar I took it from all comments. I was looking for a quality version of the song in a lower key. Again, it was worthwhile to hear his marvelous voice.
+Allan Saunders Tx - he's been booked since last summer, and is booked thru May, in an array of plays here in Minneapolis, after that, he's planning to go to LA, where he can start auditioning for Broadway, and whatever else he can. He is on his way to bigger and better things!
I thought your advice as a father is going to be biased as hell...I am glad that I was proven wrong! This was beautiful, heartful, clean, gentle. I salute him!
Thanks, he's playing Johnny Cash in the play The Milllion Dollar Quartet, these days. He's very versatile!
I, too, came from the Glee version. I hope Eric can find a successful future with that voice. LOVED it.
Tx - He's in Italy now, in his first opera, he's going to Oberlin. He will, don't worry.
I'm his dad.
gergsar So happy for him. THIS is the version of "Bring Him Home" I am putting in my playlist. You can be proud.
I am a baritone and was looking for this song in a key lower then the traditional and this is perfect and so well done! What is the exact key if anyone knows?
+qpg16 It's in the key of F major, and this one was played from a choral arrangement with a little better piano accompaniment realization, arranged by John Leavitt for TTBB, but it works for solo.
I suddenly want to sing a duet with him though I doubt I'll be a par... btw I'm a 16 year old girl... but seriously TTATT this is so beautiful. (Excuse my TTATT emoticon)
What an amazing baritone voice you have Eric! Could someone please tell me what key the piano accompaniment was in?
잘생겨따... 노래잘한다...
솔깃
can this be translated into English?
He said singer's handsome and sings well.
Has this been transposed from the original key?
javert hates this video
Nice and clear but I think it has no light or shade, very monochrome for me without texture and feeling.
A beautiful voice
