Hi, Tatyana. What brand chicken broth or stock do you use for this? Every brand is different, not to mention having low sodium versus regular, etc.. I want to make it exactly as you and your mom made it because it sounds delicious. 😊

Just out of curiosity, do you fully cook the chicken prior to adding the rice or is it just a simple sear that I'm looking for? I'm asking because the last few times I tried making chicken plov, my chicken always came out ever so slightly too dry.

I was going to attempt paella or biryani, both of which are quite “involved “. This is much simpler, but still has a strong flavor profile. I winged it with kielbasa and served (as suggested) with sour cream and pickles. I also added chopped egg on top. Thanks for the video!

Говорят, что у местных узбеков можно найти подходящий рис и все остальное, что нужно для готовки плова

I have to ask, why are you adding the rice before the liquid and then stir frying the dry uncooked bits?
The rice needs to sit on top of the chicken and the onion/carrot mixture undisturbed. Adding the liquid later helps keep everything in place

I agree! This plov is so delicious! :) I actually just brown it at first and it finishes cooking with the rice; it doesn't need too much time :)
