I kinda miss the Shogun Online battles, because they were longer, Heir you used to put up 23 minute long videos on Online battles, lots of awesome strategy, you still have that and you're cranking out videos quite quickly which I'm very thankful for, and I'm sure we all are, also the campaign videos are awesome I love them. Quitters are frustrating in any atmosphere, whether it's games or sports. I understand your frustration. Great and fun battle to watch even if it was cut short.
The army of the player who drops or quits should become ai controlled and the game would continue. After the battle winner gets the win and loser loses. That way there would be even less quitters. Some may say this would be unfair with players who drop, crash or something like that but taking a possible victory away from the player who stays in the game is even more wrong in my book.
I also hate it when people quit, I personally have a rule with myself to fight to the end no matter what, it's always fun in the end if you know you're dead to just yolo charge or have a last stand and it is a sign of respect to the other player who was able to beat you in the battle

Yes! People that leave piss me off too. Also graceless winners that infer that you are a "noob" after the game and then kick you without saying good game. This happen once to me and made my blood boil! Mainly as he only had two units left. Some people take TW way to seriously.

I admit, I did quit before the end of the battle in Shogun when losing. However, before I quit the battle I always sent a message to my opponent, "You got me. You won. I lost. Good Game" or something similar. I just was too lazy to wait to the end. I didn't play Rome on multi, yet. I'm waiting to put some money together to get better computer. But this is frustrating to get a "Draw" when you know you won. Frustrating no, this would piss me off totally, especially when winning a battle that you almost lost.

I just realized there was a leaderboard for Rome 2, probably because I hop right in when I get on it, but maybe it's because, I never have, nor ever will care about stats. I remember when I was playing Royal Scythia with a Roman ally against a Egyptian and Pontic army. My Roman ally got massacred by the Egyptian player. The Pontus player knew how to beat RS, pikes. Just before I send in my massive army (Hadn't had a serious engagement yet) of Doomed cavalry, BOOM my internet does what my internet does and loses connection. I knew what these guys were thinking. The Pontus player was named Dude, I forgot the rest of them. So Dude if you are reading this, I did not rage quit, I was gonna fully accept my demise. Now, time to go buy a wireless adapter :)

Yea the "concede defeat" button is broken. I think some people use it not know that, so that is why I get frustrated, but try to give them the benefit of the doubt.

At least in my opinion, conceding defeat is more honorable than quitting. But you have to know the difference when an opponent quits or concedes defeat on you. CA, get it worked out! :D

I don't care about the ladder, but there are people and many of them, who do care. I don't understand it, but that's the way it is in every game. Where are stats, there are people whoring for them. I think there might be a confusion with the menu as well. Isn't there a concede defeat button? So if they press that they still get a draw? Or they exit the game completely? I'm fairly new when it comes to MP in TW series. But I agree with Heir, if you are about to lose, go down as a man. Save the replay, re-watch it and learn from your mistakes.
Would you even say its worth bring really expensive units in this game. i mean get more cheaper decent units and maybe a couple of the cheapest units with an aura effect. It seems like an army like that you would have less penalty for a mistake and it would kind eliminate sniping a unit with high cost

The job that CA did on this game's mp component is abhorrent, they stripped everything that was good about the Shogun mp and made it boring and unappealing.

I know I'm a bit over a year behind, but I've been watching your videos after recently picking up the game and having difficulties with it. Some of your videos have been very helpful to me. But your rant about leaving the game seems odd..... I mean, if you know that it is going to be a win, why would you want to waste your time going through the motions of killing everything instead of having the game end sooner so you can queue up a new game and end up playing more games in the same period of time? I don't understand ragequiting. There isn't any baketball team that says: well, we're losing 0 against 100, let's just walk away. There isn't a single boxer that says: well I got hit 37 times and I haven't even got a chance to punch, let's step out of the ring. I just because people supose that pikes start in phalanxs formation and forget about it. Actually I found it in quite some battles

They need to change disconnects to loose instead of draw. I've had this happen 3 times to me over the past two days. It really irks me as well.
