This is my living room amp, I play every night. Even sounds good on recordings in the mix.

I have Yamaha THRii30, Harley benton tube 15 and a bunch of pedals, AXE IO and IK multimedia plugins. I got this recently and I run it through Yamaha with Yamaha flat speaker setting and connect my with headphones to yamaha. I like Yamaha tones but this tends to expose pick attack and nuances of playing much better and has quicker response time in my opinion and that really affects your playing. Considering ease of setup and ease getting nice tones, picking response time. It's a great regardless of value for money talk. Practicing with PC software and plugins is a chore and the response time and nuances are not the same. With tube amp you need to saturate the power tubes with high volumes and maybe use attenuators to be able to really use it. Even then you might not like the voice of your amp or can't achieve this kinda tone. I even need booster a booster in my FX loop to even get power tubes saturated and after attenuation the result is meh. I think finding good analog circuit modelers are a very viable alternative and this one has been very satisfying so far. Something to have in mind though I haven't been able to use it as a good pedal platform specially for fuzz. With overdrive I haven't experienced so much but few tries were nice. Also it doesn't cleanup like a tube amp. But for a few bucks you get some enjoyable tones into you palette.

To use it with audio interface like DI you have to use it turned off??

Yes. If you want to use as an actual DI box only then yes you don't engage the pedal which means no cabinet emulation or change of tone when footswitch is set to off. If you choose have it engaged you will get cabinet and amp emulation based on settings on pedal . 1/4" output is bypass or amp settings when engaged. xlr DI out when not engaged and cab and amp when pedal is engaged.both are output simultaneously so can also run to amp and board even if set to off.

no, the DI can send the effect to the line out XLR output. But if you turn off the effect and bypass the modeling you can use it as a normal transparent DI.

I would like it more if it had more clean vibes than driven ones. :-/

Probably at the end of it, if you want to use it as a amp modeller, or in the drive section, right after modulation and before ambience if you want to use it as more of a distortion pedal, it works both ways
