For those wondering how The Plucky Squire runs on Switch: It performs well overall with its unique art style shining through and smooth 2D to 3D transitions. There are a few minor frame rate drops during intense 3D scenes, but nothing game-breaking. It runs at 30 FPS on Switch and 60 FPS on PS5, but it still feels smooth on the Switch! Definitely a solid option for playing on the go and looks great on the OLED screen. 👍
That’s awesome, Anthony! Preordering before even playing is a true testament to the hype! 🎉 I’m glad you enjoyed it-it’s such a charming experience. I hope my review helps some more people discover the game! What was your favorite part of the game?
Great review! Really enjoyed the gameplay mechanics. It felt like fluffy pillow that you can rest on after a long day. Add a pinch of simple, but innovative and clever puzzles and you have a really curious title worth playing
Thanks so much! I love that description-it really does feel like a cozy, comforting experience with just the right amount of challenge. The puzzles are simple yet clever, making it a truly unique game. I’m glad you enjoyed the review and the game! I hope this isn't the last we see of The Plucky Squire or at the very least, the last we see of it's unique gameplay mechanics!
Absolutely 10K! The art style is stunning, and the way it blends 2D and 3D elements is truly something special. It’s one of those games that’s just a joy to look at and play. Glad you think so too!
Crazy idea! 🤯 What if the USB-C on top of the Switch 2 is an accessory port (Switch Attach) for docked mode? You could connect a VR headset using the Switch 2’s power, and with the dock’s built-in fan, no need to cool the headset! 🔥They’d save costs since Joy-Cons are already your controllers 🎮 It’s a complete system, just add accessories like a VR headset or even a shotgun (Dreamcast-style)! 😎 If the dual screen rumor is true, imagine a Galaxy Z Fold-style screen flipping up for an 8x2 inch display. That’d be wild! 😲If Nintendo released Mario and Zelda on a VR headset, it could be the VR hit that finally succeeds where others, including Apple, have failed! 🎮🚀Just had to share my thoughts! The Plucky Squire looks awesome 🎮✨ I’ll check out your video later! 👌If you liked my music, spread the word! 🎶 I want as many people as possible to hear it! 📣
Thanks for the great comment and for sharing your speculation, this is good stuff! 🤯 A ‘Switch Attach’ with accessory compatibility like VR would be a game-changer for sure. Using the dock’s fan to keep the headset cool is a genius idea, and combining Joy-Cons with new accessories would definitely expand the possibilities. I love the creativity here-Nintendo always has something up their sleeve, so who knows? We discussed VR on last weeks podcast for a brief moment and I specifically talked about how special it would be to explore the mushroom kingdom and Hyrule in VR. I hope one day that will be possibility for us Nintendo fans! I’ll definitely keep spread the word about your music too! Thanks for sharing your thoughts, and I hope you enjoy The Plucky Squire review when you get a chance to check it out! 🎮✨
@@thunderstashgaming I'm a creative guy, and I really think Nintendo could crush it with Mario and Zelda in VR! 🎮🌟 When no one besides Meta has found big success with VR, I believe Nintendo could make it work for the masses. I read HTC is releasing a high-fidelity VR set too, so the tech is heating up! I usually watch everything, but I paused Nintenbyte podcast when one of the cast left. I’ve started the Castlevania Anniversary Collection and tried the original Castlevania on NES. Loved it, but the timer is a bit annoying. I played it until I got to the first boss! I know we will be diving into this topic in an upcoming Nintenbyte podcast episode and it will include 3rd party launch titles, so stay tuned!
I see you have the physical box on the TN but I can't find it in stores? Is it sold out?
Howdy! Pre-orders for the physical edition actually opened back on August 27th, along with the announcement that it would release digitally on September 17th and physically on February 21st, 2025. If you’re looking to grab a copy, I’d recommend pre-ordering as I did!
