To the rear you have a roof mounted screen complete with remote control for the entertainment system. This cars seats are among the most comfortable I have ever sat in and there is room for 7 full sized adults. The seats are heated up front which makes it all the more appealing on a cold Autumn morning. Once on the move you can set the cruise control and relax in the opulence of the Jeeps leather clad interior. It's comfortable and easy to live with as an every day car, being refined with no more noise intrusion than a conventional luxury saloon car. All the interior fittings are constructed of high quality materials that are well put together - the whole car looks and feels as though it were built to last. That solidity transfers itself to the feeling you get on the move - That solid stance reassures you and gives you the feeling that this car is well planted on the road. You will always feel safe and secure behind the wheel of your Commander - In this car you really are king of the road!
One reason the Commander appeals is that it has real road presence. This thing looks tough and handsome with its wide track and flared arches.
One of my favorite aspects of this car is the silky smooth 6 cylinder turbo-diesel engine. This is a seriously powerful diesel at 215bhp - but what is even more impressive is the torque - all 510n/m of it! That is more grunt than a lot of supercars. All of this makes for a 4x4 that has all the go of a sports saloon. The gear changes are seamless and the power delivery is extremely smooth. Even the fuel economy is impressive, 27 mpg being the average combined consumption and over 30mpg achievable on a long run. If you want a four wheel drive, but spend a lot of your time on the motorway, then the Commander is surprisingly one of the best I have ever driven.
With a selectable low ration gearbox and diff locks, our Jeep is more than capable of anything you will throw at it during the harshest of winters. This is not a car that sll show and no go - It's a serious peice of kit which can live up to those tough looks. Being as distinctive as it is makes it very appealing to me - You feel powerful just sitting behind the wheel of this car - Before you even start the engine you can tell you are going to enjoy every moment behind the wheel. The riveted military feel is extended to the dashboard and there are plenty of chunky grab handles for when you are handling tough terrain. Of course you view of the road is superb - you sit up high in huge leather clad seats, looking down on the other road users. That feeling of supremacy continues when you select drive and launch this 124mph SUV onto the open road. The acceleration is awesome - More akin to a high performance saloon than a 4x4. At any speed, and in any gear the power is instantaneously able to throw you back in your seat as a tidal wave of 510n/m of torque hits you like a high speed train. Like all of the controls on this car the transmission is easy to use with light controls. There is now disguising this is a big car but it is easy to drive with plenty of user-friendly features which help you negotiate the urban jungle. For example along with a reversing camera, you have front and rear park distance sensors which provide an acoustic and visual aid during tight maneuvers. Also, when you reverse this car the mirrors dip down to the kerb, making it easy for you to parallel park - It is only a small touch but it makes a big difference when you're trying to get into a tight gap.

No, not all Americans "love" the wood look. I've been looking for a Commander that's in great shape in the USA and that is the one thing I do not care for.

4:14 well if you have 7 kids, 7 seats might be a bit to small. Not much space for adults to drive it haha. Good review tho
