Gurdjieff Works cannot be undertaken by yourself, just by listening to a recording or video. His work cannot be undertaken by reading alone. Gurdjieff was very clear that you must be involved in a work-study-group where the teacher has access to your nature, your attitudes, habits, and your belief system. The physical exercising you are doing is nice but will not increase your consciousness. Many of my students were involved in Gurdjieff’s groups and one thing was common, it’s all intellectual and non-emotional. Unfortunately, without emotions growth is impossible.
I wonder if Gurdjieff is making a resurgence. I've been noticing more articles and videos around him and his teachings. I spent 10 years in the Work. Changed me in many important ways.
Love is a stumbling block to enlightenment when you enter into difficulties unprepared. even love cannot make it happen instantly, because theres work to do after the honeymoon.
Gurdjeff method to help his disciple to get rid of his own will/ importance was to set up extreme situations. Sadhguru explains that Only if an individual has: 1- depth of experience 2- trust 3- too much love; it is posible to set own will/ herself aside. The advantage of love is that it can happen immediately (to put yourself aside). Otherwise it need a lot of work.

A tradition inbuilt in the Vedas and also the only one that set forth the primacy of consciousness as opposed to the dualism (i.e. external God, inherited sin, need for a messiah and vicarious redemption) of the Bible (which is clueless regarding consciousness).
@@thenowchurch6419You clearly have misunderstood what enlightenment is. Do you think what he does on the outside should reflect his awakened state, his awareness? Or, do you think it is something within him which made him drawn to put people in difficult situations? What is cruel and what is not is all in your head. With enlightenment, there is no wrong teaching. Sure, you may look at it as some stupid idiot, but others can clearly see the other side of him trying to get people to WAKE UP! If you think being nice and caring to everyone is how people will WAKE UP, you will never realize anything significant. Enlightenment happens when one experiences depth, and what you see as depth is not what Gurdjjeff saw as depth. He had his way to wake people up just as every other spiritual master has their own way, as Sadhguru clearly described. He did not care how people felt, and in many ways you need to experience that kind of depth to realize truth. He does not care what you like or do not like. He is trying to wake people up. So, he was a spiritual master, but every master has their own way. I suggest you do the inner work or find someone who will tell you that it takes work, because the path is not easy for most people, and ordinary people will stay asleep if they had the choice. Clearly, Gurdjjeff did what he thought he could do to awaken people, and his way is not the only way, but is definitely a way to make people think about their own beliefs. The end goal is enlightenment. After enlightenment, the world becomes a play, and he did his play as he wanted to. So, he knew what he was doing. Enlightened people many times are seen as the craziest because they do not see things ordinary people do. They are looking at life and death from a much wider lens than ordinary people. Hari Om.

When you have love, you know not to criticise.

Hello ,
Point of this video?
Gurdjeff method to help his disciple to get rid of his own will/ importance was to set up extreme situations.

Can anyone tell me please what Gurdjieff practices entail? Thanks
Read the book: The Fourth Way
Also, In Search of the Miraculous. These books are by his pupil Ouspensky, but reflect his teachings. Gurdjieff was complimentary about them.
Traducirlo por favor 🙏

I don't think this video helps anyone. Sadhguru is not qualified to talk about Mr Gurdjieff.

Why is India have so many spiritual gurus old and new?
Highest population, highest chance of enlightened individuals. Could be attributed to culture as well maybe

G was just being himself. Just like you S
The 4th way was all ways.
This shows Gurdjieff to be a unbalanced man with a few good teachings, but not a saint at all.
You the expert how wiseacre ?
@@is-ness I am not claiming to be an expert. I just use logic and common sense.
Is G a saint to you?
