Watched about 30 you tube videos before seeing this.... Cannot thank you enough!! Tried it with electrical tape ( all I had) and was able to work 8 hours with absolutely no pain! Immediately after work hit the store for some KT athletic tape and practiced the method... SO EASY!!! Game changer for sure....thank you so very much for your post......xxx
@@Brat.DiorLifestyle for me yes I believe my toe problem was caused by unfitting shoes and frequent running. I switched to a shoe specially made for a box toe fit for people with wide feet. I also started to do specific toe-stretches for my legs and tendons, and of course I taped my hammer toes down with "a comfortable Velcro strap" i bought on amazon and slept with them on every night for a few weeks. They went back to their original shape. For me it wasn't a bone problem but a tendon/muscle problem. now i just sleep with them on occasionally but the new shoes and having a mid-foot striking run instead of forefoot striking is the big help.
So I work in healthcare, and they have hammertoe cushions. Took an elder family member to the doctors, thinking they’ll need to perform some sort of surgery on their foot, only to be told to see a professional since it’s doesn’t need surgery but will need the cushion support or whatever. 😥 I was going to skip the professional and buy some cushions, until then, THIS IS AMAZING. THANK YOU.
Thank you SO MUCH for posting this. The only other taping styles I'd see before, was just to tape the toe next to the neighboring toe. When I discovered that the podiatrists in my city use general anesthetic for surgery (unnecessarily dangerous) I knew there must be a better way. Seriously, I'm very grateful for your post.
I wandered across this last week, and THANK YOU!!! I've tried all sorts of cushions, toe separators, etc, and this works better than all of them for pain relief.
What do you suggest if all 5 toes are hammer/claw shaped? I would think that all that tape x 5 toes would not only be uncomfortable but would also be bulky and possibly increase risk of cutting off circulation?
I have been going nuts trying to figure out how not to “strangle” the toe. It looks as though by the time it goes over the second time, it’s around the base. Also, wrapping around isn’t going around the problem joint. Are we just taping it even? I keep trying so many different ways that it aggravates the toe and then it hurts :( yours looks simplest and I hope it works.
Just had surgery on one foot about 3 weeks ago I'm supposed to do the other foot down the road but I don't know if I want to go through this again. It did not hurt I had pain pills then after 3-4 days I didn't take them. It just is awkward with the boot you don't get around as well it slowed me down which is fine. But I just had a lot of stress because I have a dog and my dog was sick never been sick before she got sick I thought maybe it was stress from my big boot. I just got the stitches out of my foot. The pins come out in 3 weeks. But my other foot I think I'm going to tape it like you're showing maybe I can prevent it from getting any worse this next year. My toes weren't real bad that they were turning into bunion and hammer toes and I was trying to fix it.
@@namitapant9292 i bought mine at Meijer and superWallmart in the sporting goods department, where weights and baseball equipment is. I left it on overnight and used (self adherent cohesive wrap bandages) , there was a cheaper tape but it was uncomfortable and can cut off circulation to the toe when taping it tight. I started looking for a more cost effective fix and found a Velcro hammer toe cast like thing on Amazon that i can put on at night and not have to keep replacing.
Not sure how that taping is going to help a hammer toe when you don’t even address the big toe I would say the second digit off the bone in the big toe - object is to get the bone taped and you went below it that will not prevent a hammer toe.

@@stevieweebi What type of velcro straps did you purchase on Amazon? I'd like to get some to sleep with. Thanks!
@@stevieweebiI don’t think I understand how you used Velcro to secure your hammer toe ?

I'm a distance runner and this is quite helpful. Thank you!
How long do we keep the tape on? How often do we tape?
And what can we expect?
Thanks
Thanks so much. I went and got tape this morning & really helps & east to do.💕

Thank you for posting this video.
Is it okay to tape each of the three middle toes at once?
My issue is a hammar toe on my big toe. The tape method is not strong enough to hold a big toe
What can I do
Can I still do my run/walks while my toes are taped?
I had hammertoe surgeries on my feet in 2016 and they are starting to come back in my left foot. Can this help straighten toes in general?
I’ve had a hammer toe on this exact same toe for quite a few years now, will taping like this still help solve issue?
Very good 👍
Ive had hammer toe for a number of years now, will this taping help in reducing it?
Do you have a link for tape..Thanks!!
Thanks! How about a mallet toe? Can you also show a tutorial?
thank you so much! got a hammertoe starting and it's ouchy.

Love you man! Thank you. 🙏🏽💐✌️
THANKS FOR THE WONDERFUL INFORMATION
Thank you❤️
Do you have a name for the tape you used? Thanks
Does this cure the hammer toe. Mine seems to be unable to return to normal position .
This is great. Thank you
I saw another video where the guy tapes from underneath the next bone on the toe and does the ribbon above the foot
👍 Great Video
Great Thanks
