I finally changed my stock sparkplugs on my 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe. Before the change I'd get about 400-410 miles per tank(freeway commute to work no traffic). After the change I get 430-445miles per tank with my commute. So yes it does help. FJB
@@JohnAvantiBK did you change the plugs or you said it was a mechanic? I know some Cars when you change the plugs, need to put new gaskets in.. ive got an xterra and am getting ready to swap the plugs out.. got it from my father in law so I don’t know how many miles are on these plugs. It runs like a champ at 177k on it.. Great stuff! Thanks Johnny appreciate it buddy! God bless
I have the same truck as you 2007 Tacoma prerunner runner with 450k miles. I currently get 23 mpg combine. To answer your question the answer is yes, as a chemical engineer in this field, I compare after market parts to OME parts the result show better performance with aftermarket. The reason why is because manufacture only put the bare minimum into cars so that ppl will buy them. It’s not worth it to them to put high quality parts into a vehicle because cuts into there profits.
Iridium spark plugs will easily last to 200,000 miles or more. I have a car with the original plugs and the motor has 309,000 I am about to change the plugs for some better mileage along with the coils.
I just replaced the iridium plugs in my Mini Cooper (90,000 miles). Compared to the new plugs, the wear was substantial, gap difference was huge! I think it depends on the car, but 200,000 miles for the Mini...no way!
Interesting in that Tacoma. I wonder if those are iridium plugs or what they use? I notice in my two Toyota owners manuals (neither are Tacoma) the Tacoma has an interval of about half what mine are. Corolla And tundra are 192,000km /120k miles Tacoma pretty sure was 60,000mi

Honestly most V6 or higher will have avg/ below avg mpg. But changing the plugs is like a new heart. Will u can quickness heck yeah. Also parts will be synced closer to how it was made. U gain some some mpg but plugs and oil changes are hand n hand to me
John, just saw the 2.45 a gallon.. i would be sick seeing how much gas must be on the east coast.. it’s 2.91 here in the west, makes me sick seein it jump almost a dollar in 60 days.. what type of plugs did you get? Platinum, iridium?
This comparison is so flawed, you have to drive, accelerate/decelerate, maintain the exact revs and variable speeds on both tests runs. If the test runs are not equally executed, then it's impossible to make a sensible comparison. Gas reciepts prove nothing..., sorry..!!

Thanks for sharing this info, my friend 😃
Miles per tank is a pretty inaccurate way to measure. I check my fuel mileage every time I fill up using a calculator.
I want to subscribe to this man because of his personality alone. Solid straight to the point video and simple edits, quality in my books.
Thank you.
Thats what i thought in the first 15 seconds watching the video. God gave you grace my friend.
Thank you sir God bless you... 🙏
If your current plugs are bad, new plugs will definitely improve power and snappiness.
My check engine light is on now. I think the MAF is loose.

Restore power, not improved power.

Johnny, Great tip changing the air filter helps alot and plugs can't hurt . 👍😎

in my car the type of gasoline i use determine the mileage and the oil brand.
I use pensoil and regular gas ⛽

Hello my friend. You are very informative about all this. thanks for sharing the the process and incredible review.
Thank you 👍⚡🙋♂️
I put NGK iridium in my 2016 Hyundai Elantra and my mpg is worse. Idles a little rough.
Did you check the gapping? I bought some myself and even though they say "pre-gapped" two of them were off
That's a good idea 💡
get ruthenium! Lasts longer and is of higher quality
Best to use spark plugs from manufacturer, jus like GM, they use acdelco spark plugs, always stick with same spark plugs that came with the vehicle
I dont have any idea on automotives and you did an awesome job
Thank you 😊

Ahhh. I miss those gas prices

evap system might be clocked up in ur truck dats why the gun jump before it's full most of the time.
Awesome job thanks. Thinking of doing it soon
You are welcome my friend

Regular gas looks like it going over 3.00 a gallon by summer. I picked up the Bosh platinum they are working great.
Gas here in California is just over $4, July 3,2021
It's getting close to $4.00 a gallon in NYC
Close to $4 everywhere now
This age well lol, it’s $5 to $6 dollar 87 octane here right now in California, depending on location SMH
Enjoyed the video! Nice truck.
Thanks ZJ
Gotta ask do you live in Oregon or something? Other people filling your gas is weird to me coming from the east coast. Good vid btw.
They do that in Jersey
New Jersey has a law where you can't pump your own fuel.
Fantastic I think it’s still going past 200,000
So changing your plugs do sod all
It made a difference in performance. Thank you 😊
should have done ignition coils
That's a good idea 💡
Nice truck sir tha ks for sharing

I’m pretty sure he isn’t racing or making sharp turn in a Tacoma….
It's a daily drive test. Thank you 👍
Oi amigo tudo bem.. sucesso
Always stick with same spark plugs what the vehicle came with or manufacturer , if not you wikk be draining gas and misfiring
Great video 👍👍👍 Have a nice day 😉 Greetings 😎
Thank you bro
Just paid $31/plug..
