There's a very noticeable lack of skillful plays of Toxikk on RUclips, so I made this. Sorry, no 60 fps, it would take too long to upload with my slow internet.
Weirdly I played a lot of UT2k4 but wound up hating it. I like this so far and the weapons are just what's needed. It may help I haven't played against humans yet.

It's all about item timing and not taking a fight you cannot take. In this video you often see me running away instead, when I'm in a disadvantaged position or low on stack. I'm also trying to control areas with hitscan pickups - the bots have perfect accuracy with the Violator, which is just an insane amount of damage.
tbh, right now they're both bad. But I got news that by the end of this year development on UT might pick up. They want to go alpha stage early next year. Lets just hope they won't mess it up. Also depends on which of the 3 UT games did you like more. This game is literally UT2004, so if you liked that, you will like Toxikk too. UT is aiming to be UT99/UT3 + something new.
8-Kit I compare it to what it could be. We already have UT2004, played it, disliked it, and now it's dead and nobody plays it. It does have potential though! However, this game does nothing to build upon that formula. It's a carbon copy. Hell, the weapons are actually more boring and generic compared to what you have in any UT game. Nothing kills a fps more than boring weapons.
Oh there was plenty of bots, I just intentionally avoided approaching them from a bad position, or without enough stack. That's how you play competitively too - you don't take engagements you know you can't win.

I still lose like a third of the time to max difficultly bots... This player owns them.
