  • In Episode 16 of Camino de Santiago, I journeyed through the rain-soaked landscapes of the Way of Saint James. Despite being constantly soaked, I experienced a deeply emotional moment as I laid my sins down at the foot of a cross known as Cruz de Ferro. Amidst the rain and solitude, I forged new connections with fellow pilgrims, forming bonds that will hopefully last a lifetime. Along the way, I encountered unexpected challenges, including taking a taxi to navigate the treacherous weather. My journey led me to visit a dramatically beautiful Templar castle, which would later lead me to learning more about the role of Templars along the Camino de Santiago. I navigated through the rain-soaked terrain, finding solace and strength in the camaraderie of fellow travelers and the profound spiritual experiences along the way.
    🌍 About the Journey:
This video documents my trek along the iconic Camino de Santiago, celebrated for its spiritual significance and breathtaking landscapes. With FND and anxiety as constant companions, I embark on this pilgrimage, navigating both physical and mental hurdles. "Ultreia," a pilgrim's term urging one to go further, resonates deeply, especially as I embark on my second attempt at this transformative pilgrimage.

You have such a great attitude. You're thriving through adversity. I'm sorry to hear the reports about the stray dogs and also owners who selfishly take their pups on Camino. It's helpful to hear that warning and caution. To those reading: PLEASE leave your dog at home!

It's not so much that dogs can't do the Camino, but I think it's a huge responsibility on the owner to understand their dogs limits, how they have to adjust their Camino along the way, and to understand that their dogs don't choose to walk the camino, so there may be days when they just are over it. Also not every dog is a long distance walker, and some dogs, especially those with short legs or short noses, might need an alternative way to do the Camino with their owners. I did see several pilgrims doing really good with their dogs and really embracing the journey together, but I also saw plenty of dogs being dragged along or exhausted beyond belief with miles still to go.

A number of people seem to love O Cebreiro. Pilgrims in some videos say it's the highlight of their Camino. Only 90 miles to go. Bravissima!!!

This is so refreshing to watch! I love that you don't take things too seriously and I can clearly see a personal development in you in the sense that you've become "lighter" or at least in the way you take things that come at you... so excited for your last week :)

I'm proud of you for working together with Camino friends for visibility and then choosing a taxi to the next village. That's smart, especially when your health is potentially in danger. How did you get your gear dry overnight?
