    For me the "best" camino is the English Way.
    It's the shortest, I believe, but one of the most interesting ones.
    Well, as a Brazilian, my native language is Portuguese... So, the most interesting for me should be the Portuguese Way.
    But, my father is a 98 years old man from Galicia. And the English Way (Camino Ingles) cross the municipal area where my father was born.

      @harrykey2448 6 месяцев назад

      You don't know what you are talking about.
      The Camino Ingles is only good in places, but overall, it's nondescript.

      @@harrykey2448 Harry, ALL ways to arrive in Santiago de Compostela are marvellous!
      As are ALL ways to be in Rome, Canterbury, New York, Rio de Janeiro or Shanghai.
      The English Way is called like that because It was made by people that arrived from Britain or Ireland...
      I live in a 93 per cent tropical country (the other 7 are subtropical). So... I think you can imagine that my perception on what is interesting or not is TOTALLY different from an Irish, British or an American from New York State, Minnesota or Michigan, don't you think that?!

    The pronunciation (so awful) suggests this video was produced by AI. Is this the case? Or is it that producer does not speak English and used a bot to narrate? I notice this a lot on youtube and would just like to know. Thanks.

    As Galician, there is only one really Camiño de Santiago, the french one. The rest are tourist traps or recent inventions.

    • @reyvaldes611
      @reyvaldes611 Месяц назад

      You’re 100% correct. Camino Frances from SJPDP is the original one. All the others are commercial opportunities to capitalize on the popularity of the Frances. By the way, your country and specially Galicia is beautiful.

    • @John_Smith__
      @John_Smith__ 29 дней назад

      Sorry but the Portuguese Camino exists as long as the French one ... there are Historic records of that. But I agree that for example the Coastal variation on the Portuguese Camino is indeed a recent "invention". The traditional one is not.
      Most other variations are also recent additions and some clearly tourist traps. Nonetheless I think Galiza has all to gain for having many more Caminos.
      Also all over Galiza there are a Lot investments on the different routes. For example A Guarda and the Coastal towns all the way to Bayona and Vigo made significant investments on making sure the Camino passing trough their towns gets more visibility. And has the Newspaper "Faro de Vigo" reports the Camino that Grows the most is the Portuguese Coastal Way. Specially the one Starting from Porto. Because indeed it is easier to make. Much more pleasant even in the Summer (proximity of the Sea tends to smooth the high temperatures). It is less demanding for those doing it for the first time. Takes less time compared to the French one.
      And ... very important, it has a huge run literally one step away from the beach for Kilometers. People experiencing truly enjoy that.
      Just saying ...
