In all the trailers so far there hasn't been the slightest hint that the story is going to go in a different direction, and that's a good thing. Don't fix what isn't broken.
There interview where the dev say there will be an additional story on top of the new social links. So there's a chance we'll have a different story nearing the end of the story, like p5r
I'm probably being too hopeful, but I do hope they add an extra ending or extra bit of story and content like what they did with golden and royal as a surprise, but that's probably not true
I don't know about that, every rerelease of the game seems to bring it further from the original story (the Answer for example, basically erasing the impact of the ending). I would hope, for it being the first Sega 70$ game, they would add more
I got into persona last year and was very lucky to be there for the first trailer, P3 seemed very cool to me and I wanted to play a persona game without waiting for p6 and i can definitely say it’s been awhile since I’ve been so excited for a game 😅
Yea p5r was my first then p4g and after I saw the trailer for reload I was ecstatic because I really wasn’t looking forward to the older graphics and mechanics
One thing I'm actually really stoked for is how they handle Ken and Koromaru. I see them more as bless and curse specialists more than lightning and fire, so I would like to see how this game carves out more of a gameplay identity for them
That would be a very Atlus thing to do but I’m predicting that won’t happen this time. I think after this they’re gonna be very focused on Persona 6 for a while.
@@dhdurhueur-qe5pn I don't know the exact makeup but I think there's significant overlap, especially with quite a few Persona staff including the previous director over working on Metaphor ReFantazio
Great video, man! Enjoyed listening to your overall thoughts, and I'm on the same perspective as you are. Can't wait for this to drop and will be playing day 1! 🔥👊🏼
I'm really excited but a little worried about being able to max out social links in time I loosely followed a guide for 4 and 5 to ensure I'd max them out and some things you have to do can be quite obscure
If it’s the same as the original 3 then you have to use a guide to max all and it won’t be easy. I suspect though it’ll be easier (but not easy) to get everyone for Reload
Even though this isn’t a “Definitive” version, I’m just glad this game got a remaster after so many years lol. I wouldn’t mind if ATLUS can do this with the 3 older Persona Games in the future.
I first got into the persona games though P3FES 12 or 13 years ago. It was on the ps3's ps2 library store, up to that point in my life, I had never heard of persona let alone shin megami tensei. I bought the game on a literal whim going into it completely blind and boy oh boy I did was not disappointed. The story, characters, style and the music of course blew me away. with the only weird part to me being I was only able to control the MC in battle, but I quickly got used to it and came to like it. I still remember getting to the final boss, and how amazing everything about that fight was. the entire journey led up to that point, and the music captured it perfectly! oh man, That first time listening to The battle for Everyone's Souls was incredible, started off pretty decent and what you'd expect, then those vocals hit and at that moment Nyx was cemented as my favourite boss fight to this day. my mind reminisced about the experience i had from this game, the people I met, the social links I forged, fighting seemingly impossible bosses (Cough* tables Cough*), climbing Tartarus and of course the very large amount of time I spent in the Velvet Room. It all surmounted to that moment. after all. "The arcana is the means by which all is revealed." Needless to say, I'm very excited to play reload. I'm not one to get over hyped about games pre release because of bad experiences doing that, but I already know I'm gonna love this game. I can feel it!
I beat P3 on FES and I didn’t think the answer is really worth it to remake. I do wish FEMC was in this game but since it adds so much to work on I understand why they left it out
5:01 Apparently split up isn't the same as it is in the original. It is now chance-based if a member asks to do it at the start of the floor, they will bolt towards the next stairs picking up items along the way, and they will not rejoin until you reach that next floor yourself. Which is a shame, due to how split up is extremely useful in the older versions of Persona 3 (In terms of grinding items, money, reducing the amount of needed stairs to climb and so much more). But I suppose the navi skills for Fuuka alleviates this a bit, as the invisibility from shadows skill effectively allows the player to pull similar strategies in climbing. Wonder if her passive abilities like healing wave will reappear. 7:36 Oddly enough, this is apparently the second time this has happened. As the questions from the Vanilla version is completely different compared to the ones used in FES and onwards (Apart from Mr. Edogawa's questions). Odd tradition. 8:08 Reversals exist in P4. Ai Ebihara and Naoto Shirogane are basically the only ones that possess it though. 11:55 The Jp cast for the s.links are almost all recasted, apart from the ones that did not have a voice before like Nozomi. Some did return though like Tanaka's VA which will also take the mantle as Igor. Although very likely that a western fan wouldn't know that they had voices in the first place as this is only shown in the Drama CDs that ATLUS released over the years for various reasons such as promotion for the movie, expansion of the game's lore and whatnot (Some of these were reused as a basis for the Arena games, an example of which is the existence of Labrys). I do wonder if these would be adapted to the game somewhat, as these are all definitely canon in some form or another.
Loved 5. Loving 4G on my switch. Loved SMT5. I'm extremely excited for this. I picked up a copy on the PSP of P3 a long time ago, but i never really got around to playing it. So needless to say, i'm waiting another few weeks for reload and that will be my first true P3 experience. It looks amazing. They really took the great things about the presentation of P5 and applied it to the color palate and tone of P3 which, from what little i played is a bit of a darker game (which is saying something). I am extremely excited. From all the articles and things i've read, P3 is widely considered to have the best or at worst 2nd best story in the series.
I'm very excited as I've never played P3 before, only P5R and Strikers, but I'm waiting for either a switch port or an updated version, I can't afford to double dip and I'd feel a little upset if I played and enjoyed P3R only to see that the "complete" version is now out for full price and won't be as impactful as you now know the story
That's fair although I would be surprised (but not too surprised it is Atlus) if there was a more complete P3 Reload down the line. I just feel that a remake is the wrong game to do that with and that after this game comes out their focus will be squarely on P6.
I've never beaten P4 (I was bad at the game), but I've beaten P4Golden twice, and P5 and P5R once each with a 2nd playthrough of P5R happening right now, but despite owning P3 four times (FES, and Portable on PSP, Vita, and PC) I've never beaten it... Hoping I finish it this time.
I legit only have 2 real criticisms with this game( aside from the definitive edition version) 1: they removed the French from changing seasons. 2: Michelle ruff is just as iconic as Elizabeth’s VA and yet they did her dirty
The change of voices is my only disappointment i understand why but it well still probably keep this from being the best version as the original voices are iconic
I feel like I’m gonna get spoiled in a good way for intentionally not playing the original and experiencing this for the first time!! Sidebar, I know I’ll catch a lot of hate for this next statement, but I will definitely need a guide haha I refuse to miss out on content / maxed out social links because of atlus and their game design
Also if they make a persona 4 remake and change the voices and won’t even be interested as it’s my favorite game of all time and I couldn’t imagine the characters with different voices at all
The only thing that makes me skeptical is the heavy emphasis on exercise and protein in Akihiko He was never like that before PQ, and he was INSUFFERABLE in Q
Having a different a ending doesn't sit well to me, it kinda ruins the tone of the game and then they will focus on that rather than adding anything beneficial. Just my 2 cents.
Don't worry It's been confirmed that they won't Changing the ending would ruin the entire point atlus may be a scummy game company but they aren't full of emotional children
I'm not going to buy this. Aside from the outragous price tag, This Remake doesn't even have the Female protag route, Which I think is superior in almost every way. I don't like the answer, So I'm happy that they don't add that, But still, I'm not really excited about this game.
