While the Beta was a fun experience it has left me wanting more, and we still have some time to wait, so let's get everyone hyped up. Eiyuden Chronicle Hundred Heroes is coming very soon and I'm hoping everyone else is as excited as I am for the game.

Dear Suikoden, how excited I am to see you again
The beta was not able to showcase the "Fast Trave". But since this is the spiritual successor of the Suikoden Series. Pretty sure they will adapt the "Fast Travel" mechanic in the game once the hero meets and recruits a "certain ally/character". In Suikoden Series, the main character was always able to recruit this character "Viki" who has this "Blinking Rune" (Teleportation magic) where she can join the battle but when outside the battle, she serves as a fast travel option. In Eiyuden Chronicle trailer, for sure everyone was able to spot this blonde(?) girl who suddenly appeared from thin air, floating then falling in front of Nowa. There's a high possibility that she'll be the character you'll need to recruit to access the Fast Travel feature as she "might" probably be offering that magic to your army. But then again, that's just a hunch.
In Suikoden, the main character in all the series always receives this "Blinking Mirror" which can be used in the World Map area for you to teleport instantly back to your Castle. Now, I'm not sure how will they execute that in Eiyuden.
So... teleporting to visited towns and dungeons will probably be offered by a recruited character while item teleporting back to the castle is still.. I have no idea.. Unless they will make that teleporting character be able to teleport the hero back to the castle herself...
All of that makes sense, hopefully that comes up soon after the portion that I played in the Beta
Can't wait for this game! It looks so good, unfortunate that Murayama couldn't make it to see his last game succeed. I've never played a Suikoden game either but depending on how much I love this game I'm considering giving them a bump up the backlog list. Thank you for not showing anything Rabbit and Bear didn't want to be shared. Very respectful.
Of course, adhering to the developer’s wishes only makes sense.

I’m excited too! Suikoden II is one of my favorite JRPGs. I can’t wait to try out the mini games ( I love a good fishing and cooking mini games). I even bought the deluxe edition on steam to support the developers and because I want the digital art book.
Hoping this does well and gets sequels. Suikoden is a void that needs to be filled, and the creator's passion and legacy carried on.
Suikoden was the best game back in its days. And the creators of that game decided to make their own studios, I am also a backer who spent more than $2,000.00 dollars. I knew by far this was going to be a great game from the start.
I played every Suikoden and you will love it. When Konami will bring out the Remaster you must play it too( its more Oldschool, but Great🎉)
I am absolutely going to be on top of the remaster when it releases, but we haven't heard anything about it for a while so can't get too excited now.

I've been curious about this game ever since I checked out pre launch trailer. And even though I've never played the Suikoden series before I always did wanted to play them since they're similar to The Legend of Heroes Trails series. It's really is a shame that the creator of this beloved series has passed away. May he rest in peace.🙏🏿 Between this, Sand Land, and me replaying the Trails series in chronological order to prepare me for the second half of the Erebonia Arc, Reverie, and also Trails Through Daybreak... I'm going to be quite busy.😅
This is my first pre order ever. What convinced me to pre order was a card mini game… ☺️
I really hope they give us equal opportunity to use such a huge cast. 100 hero’s is great and all, but if people find a clique that works, they run the risk of sticking with it, or worse, constantly coming back to base to swap people in and out to try new combos.
We need something like the Luca Blight fight again, or something similar, and more regularly.
As far as I have seen you do have a chance to use a lot of the cast. Some missions have required party members but for missions without that you don't even have to use any of the main characters.
I played Suikoden 3,4 and 5 years ago, never got to play 1 and 2, not sure if those released in the UK, waiting on those remasters however Eiyuden Chronicles is my most anticipated game of the year. I really excited about the world building and exploration aspect of it

I do plan on picking it up however, I just don't know how much time I could place into it knowing how big it is. I'm also in the middle of a cold steel playthrough with another 10 games in my backlog scheduled. Looking forward to it
There'll be time, but the backlog is a merciless taskmaster
I hope this and Unicorn Overlord will go until its 6th or 7th series. And given I am still breathing by that time, I will definitely support each entry.
Always happy to see new series, but we'll see what happens for both of those games. For now I'm good with just enjoying the initial games
I've been waiting for suikoden 6 all my life this will be it technically so im so hyped for this
Been waiting for this game since 1998. Suikoden 2 is still my favorite rpg and Suikoden 3 was a disappointment at first for me because of the 3D graphics and i’m glad this goes back to what the series does best: pixels.
Rest in peace Murayama san for me you’re up there with the masato katos and yoko taros of this world.
He has had quite the impact and I’m hoping he went out with a banger of a game
I been wanting the original series to return and pick up at S3 for think almost 2 decades now.
So I have been over the moon we got this spiritual successor (even if sadly it turn out to be a one and done) And the original series getting any attention from the pachinko masters -_-

They level up individually although it is pretty easy to catch someone up from my experience in the beta

planning on getting this one. Im still not over the unicorn overlord hype that is why it take forever to release this game!!!
I have been blitzing my way through Unicorn Overlord recently both so that I'm ready for when Eiyuden Chronicle comes, but also because it is a lot of fun
I've been following and waiting for this game for a while as well, Suikoden 2 was the first JRPG i ever finished and it's been a shame bo other ever really hit that flavour for me. These kast few days cabt pass quick enough.
I got a steam deck at just the perfect time. I wanted to get this game on console but I figured I will not be able to put it down so I got it on PC so I can play it on my steam deck and play it while I'm at work when the Suikuden remake come out that's going straight to PlayStation cuz I feel that's where it deserves to be
I have 2 questions for you. #1 probably can't be answered until the game comes out, they aren't advertising this and it may be a secret, or may be missing from this game compared to a few Suikoden games. Are there any missable recruitable characters?
I'm over 50, and played maybe 2 of the Suikodens when they were brand new. I remember 3 brothers, you had to recruit them in a certain order age wise, or else you lost 1 or 2 of them and they were unrecruitable for the rest of the game, and that was in a couple of games in the series.
2.) Some people may be concerned about my next question, while others won't care and just brush it off if the answer is no. Are you going to be getting any items if you have Rising's save file on your PS5? If you watch the 2:30 trailer for Rising on their PS4/5 Store page, it even says an off hand comment like " and grow along the townsfolk, it might even carry over to 100 Heroes..." at the 1 minute 28 second mark in the official trailer.
Some people might not care, but NOT ME. Square Enix did this with Rebirth, gave you free Summons Materia, etc, along with many other series games over the years. I have been waiting for a Yes or No on this answer before I place my pre-order, but haven't seen any confirmation either way. This is a huge deal to me, a complete disrespect if you get absolutely nothing for playing the prequel, and I will NOT be buying the game when it is brand new. I have ZERO PROBLEMS waiting until it's 50% off, come Black Friday, to buy this if they disrespect the Rising players and offer no cosmetics or items for a Rising save on your system. NOTHING will be changing my mind. Sea of Thieves for PS5, here I come!
Okay so as you suspect #1 can't be answered via the beta that I played. None of the characters were missable (beyond just choosing not to recruit them), but most characters don't appear in the beta so no idea.
As for #2 the carry over has not been officially announced, but the initial Kickstarter said this for the stretch goal that became Rising. "The goal is to allow these materials to transfer over to Eiyuden Chronicle allowing you a head-start at crafting some of the different items/armor/etc in the game." Not any sort of confirmation, but it looks like that's what we should be looking out for when it comes to Rising.

This game looks great, I just hope it's not a grind fess & it have some unique way of leveling up quickly. Hope they not stingy with the MP or SP to cast magic as I notice sum about all games when it comes to that. Anything else I'll find out when I get a copy as most youtubers reviewers never actually tell you few things about the game that would help someone new going into the game.
The game looks cool. I never played Suikoden, So the premise is interesting.
But I don't think I'll buy it, At least not now. I already have a lot of games I want to play.

someone ask the devs if they were forced to implement weird sbi stuff due to those woke creatures. We need to know. We need to stop these weirdos that can't' produce their own content from ruining the content that actual gamers play.
