00:57 Effects of driving without shock absorber (only Springs)
01:27 Function of shock Absorber
01:56 Terminology of shock absorber
03:25 Regular Twin-tube shock absorber
04:38 Working of shock absorber
05:58 Gas-filled shock absorber (Twin-tube setup)
07:56 Position Sensitive Damping (PSD)
10:04 Acceleration Sensitive Damping (ASD)
12:29 Regular Monotube Shock Absorber
13:56 Question to the audience and followed by an answer
14:31 Split Monotube shock absorber
14:54 By-pass type position sensitive damping
15:31 Magnetorheological Damper
17:27 Conclusion
Separator and gas is not shown in bypass hole type shock absorber. It is presented in the pressure tube.
Thank you for watching and support 🙂
Thank you for making this video, it is the most comprehensive one I could find. One question though, some gas-filled shocks make a distinct "hiss" sound over bumps. Would these be the bypass-hole type? I don't see how the other gas filled types could make this noise.
With this level of quality content, this channel is criminally undersubscribed.
Not meant for general public
This is one of the best introductions to suspension systems I've ever seen.
Thank you for the excellent explanation of all types of shocks. Great graphics. 🎉
JUST found this channel, I’m a new service technician, I had to throw it in .75x speed to understand you not going to lie😅 but this was a 10/10 video that I appreciate so very much! Much love brotha, keep up the good work : )
Best video I found! Straight to the point, complete, no unnecessary talk, so basically the perfect teacher. (However the English accent asks for some adaptation time ;-) )
Longest video of Untangle Club and delivered with so much information 👍 Thanks 😊
Brilliant descriptions with great animations - takes the stress out of learning! Many thanks
Very helpful for mechanical engineers..
Thanks a lot .. 👏🙌
Very informative video 👏 thank u
This is the best video I came across while trying to learn about dampers❤. This video deserves a play in every suspension classroom 😊
This is so good. I feel guilty for having watched it for free
Very good animation and explication
The way of explaining from basics and touched to the latest version of damper used now a days - superb
I just love learning about cars being an enthusiast. Trying to learn about suspension system for so long. I have to say this was the best and most comprehensive. Learned a lot. Thanks a lot.
Perfect explanation 💛
Absolutely fantastic, as always!
Hi Dear i do not know your name but you have given such a high level of knowledge in this video !! I feel really thankful to you and I appreciate your effort from my bottom of heart !!
Thanks brother ,your explanation is very nice
Watching from india 🇮🇳
Can you make more vidios on off road and enduro techniques with proper physics
Wating for next videos
very high quality, not only the information but the presentation aswell
Excellent work.
All covered and beautifully explained.
👌👍👍
Its really good👍
You should do a video on rotary dashpots used on cars in the 1920s and 1930s.
Great video
Amazing explanation!
And really nice and easy to understand animations
Yes you have presented it smoothly !!
this is perfect
Awesome.
Amazing pro
Great explaination! Thank you!
Thanks a lot. Great presentation !
Verry good explanation
❤excellent!
Well explained, quality video, keep it up mate
Nice explanation
i love this channel
but why there is not the gas in" by pass hole " even if the volume of the rode is added to cylinder chamber? THANKS FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART FOR THE VIDEO IT IS KIND OF YOU
I just installed lowering Springs in my car but its hard and bumpy, some people say using a shock with a smaller size would fix some of this problem. The stock Shock is too much compressed in the initial position. Maybe.
Can you help me?
There are usually no valves on the actual piston itself, only ports and shims
Very good
Perfect
What does spring characteristics 50-10-15-260 mm means
How long can be a shock absorber fully compressed without damage?
Explain bmw m suspension. Plz if u have knowledge
When will you upload the next video of suspension system?
But shock absorbers are not generally marketed that way. None of this information is available on the box or in the specs. (as far as I can tell) How do you get the dampers you want without listening to a sales job.
3:19 😂😂😂
assesment na namo ugma😭
