- For many, the Ferrari F355 is considered to be one of the prettiest prancing horses ever made. Yes, that does include cars from the '50s and '60s golden era. Not only is it pretty, but it's one of the best sounding Ferraris ever made.
Almost unbelievably, the F355 is almost 30 years old. Rewind 30 years from the F355 and you'd be looking at a brand new 250 GTO... we'll let that sink in. The F355 is undoubtedly a future classic and can almost just be described as a classic now. Where does it rank in your all time #Ferrari list?

Wonderful. I think one of the greatest Ferrari. The feel, noise. £2k pa average runs one. Had mine 15 years now, an early manual. There is nothing like it.
Best sounding Ferrari I've heard. Was a red one in iur area in the 90s. Nothing sounded as cool back then and to this day if we ever see it.
Now I’m not being biased just because you’re beautiful….., but having seen thousands of motor videos on here this is one of the very best especially on the 355….. the facts get repeated on and on we/I want the emotion and sound to come through- and this hit it

It sounds glorious, and to me is the most beautiful Ferrari ever made and one of the most beautiful cars period, but to me the Ferrari 512TR is the best sounding car ever made
Fantastic car and fantastic sound and funny to watch Becky's reaction to the sound. It does sound amazing but I wonder if the Capristo exhaust is a little too much, with the standard exhaust sounding amazing as well but not quite so in your face to neighbours and passers by! Then again, who cares, they will all love that sound too...
Shame about the crazy servicing costs with this car which means it's likely cheaper to run a helicopter than an F355.
The F355 was the high point of the V8 sound to me as with the 360 and progressively onwards, the Ferrari V8 became more of a hard edged bark and was no longer musical but just loud. I think Ferrari have now found a great engine sound again with the 296 which has the 120 degree V6 which as Ferrari says, sounds like a mini V12. But the F355 is the best sounding Ferrari apart from the some of the V12's. Awesome..
That exhaust is baffled, you can close off the straight pipe and quiet her down
After the F355, v8 Ferraris all sound like rice burners…

@@jackglendinning7734 not at all, i enjoyed the restoration process over 4 years and then sold at the top of the market . Its a vintage car now and i prefer a more usable classic👍🍻

Oh man, I love how she just got speechless. There are three sound levels for the Capristo, do you know which one this is? I have a 355 and now, suddenly, I must have a louder exhuast.
The Capristo max sound level is fixed. The Capristo levels indicate the loudness at lower rpms. The lowest level is more liveable.
This is an older custom capristo system, but i would guess closest to a stage 2 in the currently available line up from Scuderia Systems. The highflo cats make a difference too…. They add pops , bangs and flames, when really pushed!😍
@@jezbrown8247 Nice! I coincidentally rode in an F355 with a Capristo yesterday. It's really not much louder until you're really pushing it. I'm on the hunt for one now! (Hopefully for less than MSRP)

I'd say the 360 is the best sounding, but - the 355 still sounds better than any current modern Ferrari... They've lost the scream and noise they had until you get to their XX series...

Its the only F355 gts in the world in this colour to have left the factory, i think there was one berlinetta (now no longer surviving after an accident, and allegedly, one spider)😊👍

@@gunawansugiarto7253 hi, it’s actually an older custom exhaust system made by Capristo, but its equivalent to the latest level 2 system. I have had hiflo cats fitted also, which really add to the special tone of this particular car😊👍

Each of the body style versions offer quite a different experience , you really need to try each of them to see which one suits your driving style a needs best.

3-5 years ….. 7 is way too much to risk!😮
@@jezbrown8247 sorry, but you're mistaken. I've seen belts last 20 plus years. In japan 7-8 years is normal. Expert technicians will tell you 7 years is nothing and the belts will last far longer.
Belts physically can last much longer, of course, but there are other considerations with a 355,engine that really should be maintained on a 3-5 year schedule. Its not so difficult or expensive to drop the engine on these cars, they were designed to do this.
@@jezbrown8247 I am speaking as a long term owner and someone who has driven these cars regularly. Do as you wish but an engine out need not be done less than every 7 years. If you want to spend your money that way its your prerogative.

The Berlinetta still is the one to have, GTS is far less rigid. If you want to hear that engine in a GTB, just open the windows.
On normal roads, not on a track, the gts is the one to have. You really don’t notice any perceptible scuttle shake or body flex on the road👍
@@jezbrown8247 Why? When you're driving and looking at the road, you nearly don't notice the open roof above you.
Having the privilege of having both versions, all i can say is that the gts is the one i prefer to drive. I think its the novelty of a targa roof, too…. Hard to explain😊
