I apologize, but I'm not sure of the question. Is the battery that you are charging get to full charge then the green light shuts off? The display should show "FUL" when completely charged. Not sure why it would go black.
I'm a rookie...Could I use this while connected to shore power? Meaning my rv converter would be charging the battery and this would be connected directly to the same generator. Just worried about multiple charging sources.
You can definitely use it at the same time as the generator. Just make sure not to charge the batteries with too many amps. I would look to see what the max charge rate is for your bank, but you should be fine.
Looking at this unit for my Redodo 100aH in my MaxiTrac battery box. In a pinch could I charge the flooded lead acid battery in my camper trailer or is it limited to sealed lead acid? My priority of course is the LifePo4.
Question of the day… I currently have a pair of 2-way radio repeater at my lake house. One Motorola and one Hytera. I’m now using Trojan lead acid batteries with a hodgepodge of relays, contactors and chargers to power everything. The repeaters each have a 12vdc (11-14vdc) input (3amps RX / 14amps transmit). Can one of these chargers be left connected to a 12v 100ah LifePO4 battery CONTINUOUSLY? I have heard so many different opinions that have left me totally confused. Thanks!
Forgot… I don’t have any solar installed at the house yet, just utility AC power and a few portable Honda inverter type generators for use when we are there and experience a utility power outage. The utility AC supply is fairly decent. I upgraded from a 60a /240vac service to a 200 amp service when we bought the place decades ago. I ran a new underground service from the utility company’s pole a few thousand feet away and ran multiple 2” PVC conduits when I had the trench open.. for future use. Due to voltage drop. I ran doubled up 750kcmil copper feeders. It was a $$ fortune back in 1996, nowadays with the cost of Cu, it’d probably cost more than the drugs used to keep Biden awake each day. But only used that extra conduit capacity for a single FIOS fiber drop LOL.
Would i be able to plug that charger into the 110volt plug in my toyota sienna while its running and connect the charger to my agm 100ah house battery? The battery is currently hooked up to 200 watts of roof solar thru a charge controller. Could i use both solar and the Haisito charger at the same time? Is there a way to wire the Haisito charger to the solar charge controller at the same time as solar? I wonder if idling the van would use less fuel than buying a small gas generator to power the Haisito as an alternative to solar on cloudy days.
You can definitely use the charger along side the solar to charge the battery faster. I don't know what the power rating of the vehicle outlet is. You might have to lower the charging rate to accommodate for the amount of power the vehicle can product. I honestly don't see how the van would be more efficient than a small Genny, but it will work in a pinch. Thanks for the comment.
A true 20a charger would take 5 hours. I've never actually tested the time it takes for this charger to do the job. I always just set it and come back the next day. My guess would be 6 to 7 hours.
I've used the charger on my 12v and 24v systems and I've never had any issues. It's my go to charger. I like it better than the Hasito 25amp charger for the fact that it can also wake up Lifepo4 batteries.
Thanks for the video. Mine gets stuck on "Full" once it's fully charged my 12V LifePO4 100Ah battery. I have to switch it off to reset it. It doesn't kick in automaticallly to recharge the battery once the voltage drops. Is this normal? Thanks. I wanted to leave it permanently connected.
Man! the size of that 240W charger is small compared to my Bluetti charger, or my 12V 20A power supply. Can you check the power draw on the AC input side at full load to see how efficient this power supply is? Thanks. BTW, does it sense the battery Voltage first to see if the battery Voltage is not too low then it will only only come on if the battery is not too low? The reason I ask because if the LiFePO4 goes into low Voltage shutdown then the charger will not be able to wake up the battery since the charger will think that the battery Voltage is too low to safely charge the battery back up.
The battery charger is 72% efficient when running 19a at 12v. Do you know the efficiency of the bluetti charger? I haven't test if the charger has the "wakeup" feature, but someone on Amazon states that it does wake up a lifepo4 battery as long as the battery has 1v.
Ok if this is a test you failed to mention what amperage you set it at 24v you also failed to show what amps were produced by the charger. If you’re doing a test please do it right.
Yes. I don't believe you would have any problems doing that. I charge my 24v system with it while connected to solar and using DC lights and a 3k inverter. Works just fine for an extra boost to the battery. Thanks for the comment.
I bought this 20amp charger and a new redodo 100ah mini I went to charge first time selected Lifep04 at 20 amp but my charger never goes over 15 amps any thoughts ?
I think it's the charger. I have a 25A charger that does the same thing. It only charges at 21 amps. You could send it back, but think you will run into the same problem with other economy chargers.
So, a year later how is it doing ? initlal review don't mean much . One year later tell alot more. You, or anyone own this charger for a year...and how's it still performing ?
The charger still works, but the fan is starting to get louder. That worries me a bit. I use it now just for waking up batteries. Thanks for the comment.
Since I live in the U.S. I received the 110v model. I'm sure it comes in the 220v version as well. I found this on Amazon that shows the voltage input being 240v for the 20amp Haisito Charger. amzn.to/3O1IR8S I hope this helps. Thanks for the comment.
@@OffGridBasement I've been using these since the 23rd of May, works well, thanks. Have 24v system charging the batteries separately on 12v since the negative to system connected battery always seems to discharge a bit more. (and the fans are very load as you stated!)
Hi, is this as good as the Haisito?. Does it switch back on batteries?, also does it maintain the battery if it gets low by automatically start charging?. I'm not sure which to get, the Haisito or the HTRC. Appreciate the videos on these, thanks.
I have the exact same charger. My observation, is that when the charger completes charging, it spikes up to 29volts for a second and then shuts off... I'm afraid it will damage my battery. I noticed this, when my inverter went into protection mode, every time charging is completed. Power off/on the inverter and everything is okay, but the voltage spike is a concern. Is it possible I have a bad charger?
As I've commented on your other video, these chargers (Haisito/HTRC, same unit, and this includes the P35) do NOT terminate charging properly on LiFePO4, they don't seem to go into the different modes listed in the manual, they just go full blast at whatever they're set (which, as you know, is not accurate on top speed) and then abruptly stop and display FULL. As such, you're not able to fully charge LiFePO4 batteries with these chargers. If you're building an in-series multi-battery unit, you won't be able to top them off to start with a balanced set by using these chargers.
can i connect two lithium lifePO4 100ah batteries in series to produce 24 volts (for my trolling motor) and charge them with my 20 amp haisito charger ( the identical one you have in this video) simultaneously? It s Walt from Idaho.
one more question please. If, when my two batteries are in series, and in use with my trolling motor, if I attach the haisito charger to the batteries, will it monitor the battery strength without being plugged into AC?
@@OffGridBasement that is amazing and thank you! i am using 2 12v 7ah battery's for 24v and needed a charger! google was not useful so i turned to RUclips and that's also how i found my motors lol but anyway thank you for making this so much easier!
@@OffGridBasement Awesome you responded first time a RUclipsr actually responds to my comment. I have another question it may be stupid but I can't find a definite answer. If I have two 12v LifePo4 batteries and I wire them in series can I charge it with 24V?
all said and done, the best thing to prolong the chargers life is to replace that cheap fan before it dies to keep from burning up a good charger. I used to biuld gaming PC's fans are not very expensive. Maybe I will get one and then see what size that fan is, or if nothing else mount a slightly larger better quality fan in front or behind it depending on which way the fan moves the air. I have a lot of 120 mm fans I may just use one of them after mounting it on a piece of plywood that the charger can sit on also. I know those will be bigger, but air is air.

it depends on the size of the battery. A 100ah lifepo4 battery usually like around 20 amps of charging current. Anything lower definitely won't hurt the battery. It will just take longer to charge. I hope this helps. Thanks for the comment.
In general, you shouldn't choose more than half the current than the battery has capacity, for example 25A for a 50Ah battery. You can of course charge LiFePo4 batteries with their rated maximum charging current which is usually equal to capacity, but it shortens the lifespan a little due to thermal stress. The manufacturers themselves recommend half that.
The monitor just keeps track of the amount of electricity going through the wires. I bought it on Amazon. Here is a link: amzn.to/3REGVCs Thanks for the question!
Does it still work? I just bought what appears to be the same one with a different name. I guess they are all chinese manufacture. A lot of comments saying the longevity of the charger ranges from weeks to a few months. Is yours still going strong?
Hi. Have you charged your 24v battery with this charger with out the smaller 12v battery if so how long would it take to fully charge the 24v battery's.
If the 24v system was completely depleted and I didn't have any loads on it, it would take around 35 hours to completely charge with the Hasito charger. Hope that answers your question. Thanks for the comment.
Your Hasito is identical to my HTRC. Which is also identical to the DGHT, & the Nexpeak. Appears they are all the same unit produced by the same manufacture under different names. My only complaint is the HTRC has no customer support. No phone number or e-mail to contact about operation, questions, parts, or warranty. Maybe you get that with the Hasito?

I use this charger all the time for my 100ah lifepo4 batteries. I think it would work well for you because you can slow down the charging rate for the 18ah battery. Good luck and have fun!
Hello. Nice setup you got there 👍 I have the same battery charger. I read most of the comments regarding not getting the full 20 amps charging. Same on this side. It's only pushing 20amps from the DC side. 20A @ 12.8 volts 256w. 256w on the 120v AC side would be 2.13amps. I hope that is clear. Thanks for the thumbs up!
There are plenty of better chargers out there. I'm still using this one, but the fan is starting to get loud. I really like it b/c the fact that it can "wake up" a dead Lifepo4 battery, unlike other smart chargers. Thanks for the comment.
In your 24v charging scenario, it looks to me that you weren't really "charging" your 24v batteries. The power from your charger was just providing some of the power to the load and therefore reduced the current coming from your 2 batteries but no charging of the batteries actually occurred. The batteries were still discharging, but at a lower rate. That is my understanding of what is happening in this situation because batteries don't charge and discharge simultaneously, but it kind of looks like that is what is happening. You even said that "the charger is taking some of that DC power away." And on your computer monitor it shows that the battery is still discharging, not charging. So that scenario is not technically showing charging, but the charger is load sharing. Just checking if my understanding of what is happening is correct. Still learning... Thanks for your video. It looks like a good charger. Thinking about getting one. Edit: After thinking about it more, you also demonstrated a way to load share the power from a 12 volt battery into a 24 volt system without taking your 24 volt system apart in any way. Such as if you needed to get a little more power during the night in a power outage situation to get you through until some solar could start providing power again in the morning. Not necessarily great efficiency, but it could work in an emergency situation.
Great observation! That is exactly what is occurring. I was only lessening the discharge rate of my 24v battery bank. I've got a series of videos that started coming out today about the exact scenario you are talking about! I've created a 12v bank of random lifepo4 batteries and I'm going to use it to supplement my 24v system. Great insight! Thanks for the comment and info.
I just bought this then seen your review..it charging my LiTime 100AH for my trolling motor..thanks for the review..first lithium battery for me..not sure what to look for but l'll figute it out..
You will be happy with the battery. Just charge it using the Lifepo4 setting. Not sure the amount of power your trolling motor draws, but it should last all day. The charger will turn off as soon as it's full. That should be around 14.6v. the battery will then settle down to about 13.6v. Good luck and enjoy!
I bought this on your recommendation and it has been great! But I am only ever getting a max of 15 amps. It never actually hit 20 amps. I tried it on two different LiFePO4 batteries - same result. I noticed the highest you got in the video was 17.8 amps. Is this normal?
I think I figured out why. This charger is multi-use for different batteries INCLUDING LFP, so the 20A delivery rating is actually at 12V. This means the max output is around 240W. When the charger is outputting to a LiFePO4 battery at 14.6V (instead of 12V), the maximum power output drops to around 15-16A total. Does this make sense?
@@theq-ster6981 Lead acid charge at higher voltage than 12V as far as I know. I am thinking this is possibly due to how hot the unit runs and limits its current when too hot. Mine shows 45c and I have seen other people here are at about 30c?
It's self regulating depending on temperature.. If you hear the fan come on. You know it's going to lower charge rate.. This is how most Chargers work... And I can tell you fro experience. My NOCO 10amp goes down to like 2 amps and the wire gets super hot. It once melted..
Beware when your 24V battery wont charge when the auto sensing mode in this type of charger says fully charged in the 12V mode. These need a 12V or 24V manual switch. Very worthless while trying to charge a low voltage 24V battery. 😖
This charger still works well for me. Some of the other Hasito chargers I've reviewed have started to have issues. I plan on making a follow-up video on the issues. Thanks for the comment.

hi sir my car 12v Acidic Battery i charg in this device but now not showing my battery magic eay green indicator going to black now battery full charge but the magic eay green indicator not showing When put in the car for one day they battery again show green indicator it's why?
I apologize, but I'm not sure of the question. Is the battery that you are charging get to full charge then the green light shuts off? The display should show "FUL" when completely charged. Not sure why it would go black.
I'm a rookie...Could I use this while connected to shore power? Meaning my rv converter would be charging the battery and this would be connected directly to the same generator. Just worried about multiple charging sources.
You can definitely use it at the same time as the generator. Just make sure not to charge the batteries with too many amps. I would look to see what the max charge rate is for your bank, but you should be fine.
I got the p15 model of that same charger and it works real well
Good to hear!
Can you charge an eight 12v battery bank (24v 2s/4p) with this charger?
You can. It will take a long time. Consider getting a larger unit.
@@OffGridBasement what would you recommend for a bank of 24 volts and 400amps (8-12v 100ah batteries 2s/4p) ?
Clamp cables seem a bit thin for 20A
They get a bit warm, but nothing to be alarmed about. Thanks for the comment.
Looking at this unit for my Redodo 100aH in my MaxiTrac battery box. In a pinch could I charge the flooded lead acid battery in my camper trailer or is it limited to sealed lead acid?
My priority of course is the LifePo4.
You can charge the flooded battery with the AGM setting on the charger. Hope that helps. Thanks for the comment.
Question of the day…
I currently have a pair of 2-way radio repeater at my lake house.
No. I would get a small 3A trickle charger \ maintainer. This unit doesn't maintain after a full charge. Hope this helps.
Hi. I have this charger did your one come with cable lugs if so how do i connect it.
I believe mine only came with battery clamps. Are you trying to connect to a SLA battery?
Thanks for your quick reply and for a great video. Cheers.
Can you do a test with it to see how long it takes to charge that 100 amp hour battery
A true 20a charger would take 5 hours. I've never actually tested the time it takes for this charger to do the job. I always just set it and come back the next day. My guess would be 6 to 7 hours.
4 to 5 hours,
I need to know if this actually charges at the right voltage. Not a system thats also on solar.
I believe that is normal. I don't think it has a trickle charge function for after the battery is full. Thanks for the comment.
Man! the size of that 240W charger is small compared to my Bluetti charger, or my 12V 20A power supply.
@@OffGridBasement I will test it and report back, my Bluetti is EB70.
Ok if this is a test you failed to mention what amperage you set it at 24v you also failed to show what amps were produced by the charger.
If you’re doing a test please do it right.
Thanks for the tip! I'll update my videos in the future.
Hi, can this charger turn off it's screen when the battery is full charged?
Unfortunately no. The only way to turn it off is by unplugging the unit.
Can this be use at the same time the battery is being charge from solar via pwm controller while powering a 12v fridge.
Yes. I don't believe you would have any problems doing that. I charge my 24v system with it while connected to solar and using DC lights and a 3k inverter. Works just fine for an extra boost to the battery. Thanks for the comment.
What setting do I use to wake up my BMS (battery dormant) from a LiFePO4 12.8V 100amp EcoWorthy battery?
You should be able to use the "lifepo4" setting to wake up the BMS if it has been completely discharged.
@@OffGridBasement Thank you very much - it worked so far.
Would like to know if this charger can be plugged into 220-250V systems...
Since I live in the U.S. I received the 110v model. I'm sure it comes in the 220v version as well. I found this on Amazon that shows the voltage input being 240v for the 20amp Haisito Charger. amzn.to/3O1IR8S
I hope this helps. Thanks for the comment.
@@OffGridBasement Got it, thank you!
The haisito will maintain once it's full, but it won't start up a full charge cycle automatically. It needs to be reconnected.
It could be. I've never had an issue with the charger, but I've never used it while connected to the inverter. Thanks for the info and the comment.
battery 24v 100ah Lifepo4, charger 20 amperes is it normal or is it very strong ampers?
A 24v 20A charger would be the best way to go. You could probably go up to a 50A charger if needed. Hope this helps. Thanks for the comment.
@@OffGridBasement Thank you so much
So I can charge a lithium 12v 100 ah
Yes you can.
Yes. I read the other comment. It's true that these chargers don't really absorb. They get up to 14.6v then turn off.
Charger link is not working
Looks like Haisito doesn't sell this charger any longer. That's a bummer. You should check HTRC's version of the charger instead. amzn.to/3SN9leS

Yes! That would be a great way to go. Thanks for the comment.
you are fantastic. your video was very informative and easy to follow. But more important you gave me an answer within hours. Continued success!!!
one more question please. If, when my two batteries are in series, and in use with my trolling motor, if I attach the haisito charger to the batteries, will it monitor the battery strength without being plugged into AC?

I have another question it may be stupid but I can't find a definite answer. If I have two 12v LifePo4 batteries and I wire them in series can I charge it with 24V?
Yes. Remember you need to have the two batteries balanced with one another in order to get a full charge to both batteries.
all said and done, the best thing to prolong the chargers life is to replace that cheap fan before it dies to keep from burning up a good charger.
Good idea. I really need to look into replacing the fan. Getting a bit loud.

Does it matter what current we choose?
Is a lower current better for the battery life?
it depends on the size of the battery.
Would this also work on 12v 10ah lifepo4 battery?
It would, but it would charge the battery really fast, even at 5 amps. I wouldn't recommend it.
I wish when it was done charging I could scroll through andsee how many ah's got put in the battery....just says full
That would be a really nice feature.
What is the little monitor and where can I get one from?
The monitor just keeps track of the amount of electricity going through the wires. I bought it on Amazon. Here is a link: amzn.to/3REGVCs
Thanks for the question!
Does it still work? I just bought what appears to be the same one with a different name. I guess they are all chinese manufacture. A lot of comments saying the longevity of the charger ranges from weeks to a few months. Is yours still going strong?
I'm actually using it right now to charge a 24v 100ah battery! Still works. The fan is starting to make some noise which is concerning.
merry Christmas, one question: can this charger work with cellular type battery pack??? thanks!!!
Unfortunately not. The voltage would be too high.
@@OffGridBasement Thank you. Keep up the good work.
Your Hasito is identical to my HTRC. Which is also identical to the DGHT, & the Nexpeak. Appears they are all the same unit produced by the same manufacture under different names. The only real surprise/shock is the gauge of the AC side wire …. 😳 Seem Awfully Small for pulling 20A ….
Thanks for the Vid ! 👍🏼
It's only pushing 20amps from the DC side. 20A @ 12.8 volts 256w. 256w on the 120v AC side would be 2.13amps. I hope that is clear. Thanks for the thumbs up!
AC input is pushing like 2 amps. Then converted to 12 volt 20 amps...So the AC gauge wire size is not relevant..
Thanks for the Clarification(s) …. Always learning 🤓
I looked at getting one of those chargers, but their is just too many bad reviews for them.
There are plenty of better chargers out there. I'm still using this one, but the fan is starting to get loud. I really like it b/c the fact that it can "wake up" a dead Lifepo4 battery, unlike other smart chargers. Thanks for the comment.
@@OffGridBasement right, the only problem is, is they want 15 to 20 times more for them.
HI! thanks for the review!
one question...at what voltage does the charger stop with a 24v lifepo4 battery?
greetings from Italy 😉🇮🇹
It stops at 29v. Thanks for the question.
This is what I needed to know
In your 24v charging scenario, it looks to me that you weren't really "charging" your 24v batteries.
I've seen 20 amps once with charging a 12v 275ah lifepo4 battery from under 10%. Most of the time I get between 15 and 17 amps.
same here... only have seen 15.2A so far
