Psalm 108 - Praise and Trust from the Past for Today

- Psalm 108 is a psalm of David and is a compilation of sections from two other psalms. These are David’s words, by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, taken and applied to a present challenge.
This psalm shows us that we can and should use the words of Scripture as our present prayers and praises, suitable to our present situation.

I sooooo needed this today. I’m in such a battle for a shelter for the homeless in my city. Nothing like this has never been needed nor been challenged but the homeward bound population keeps growing year after year! I know God is doing this all by Himself as He lays this intercession upon my heart for the poor 😢🎉❤

Expressing gratitude for what God has done for me in the past comes easily, but asking God for help in the future has been troubling me. Thank you for sharing this Bible study to show that both are necessary to win the battle with God by our side.

Both humans and God express wrath. But there is vast difference between the wrath of God and the wrath of man. God’s wrath is holy and always justified; man’s is never holy and rarely justified. Romans 12:19
