- Psalm 103 is a psalm written by David. We don’t know the circumstances in which it was written, but since David was a man who knew the grace and deliverance of God many times, it could have been written at many different times of his life.
Pastor David Guzik walks us through reasons to bless and honor God and contrasts that display the greatness of God shown throughout this psalm.

David, thank you for your thoughtfulness by sharing this message about the mercies of God. I couldn't have listened to it at a more appropriate time, as I have just learned that my dad's wife passed away this morning a little after midnight.
Bless Yahweh, Oh my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless Yahweh, Oh my soul, and forget none of His benefits; who pardons all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases; who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion who satisfies your years with good things,
So that your youth is renewed like the eagle. Yahweh performs righteous deeds and judgments for all who are oppressed. He made known His ways to Moses, His acts to the sons and daughters of Israel (all who are in Christ are in Israel.) Yahweh is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness. He will not always contend with us, and He will not keep His anger forever. He has not dealt with us according to our sins, and He has not rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His lovingkindness toward those who fear Him. As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us. As a father has compassion on his children, so Yahweh has compassion on those who fear Him. For He Himself knows our form; He remembers that we are but dust.

Thank you David for explaining this Psalm. I thank God for His goodness & His lovingkindness towards us . At this time 5-12-2022 in our country when leaders ,& many people are determined to murder babies & destroy the children in education I do not understand how God can look at it . He hates our sin but loves , my prayer is that God will help us get back to being people that fear Him !! 🙏❤️

I love the verses where David talks to his soul, lol. It reminds me to tell my soul the same things. For those who love the Psalms, you will be so blessed to listen to a group called, "Sons of Korah." They are true, real musicians; and you will know the difference in their praise from the silly music of today's "Christian" music. They bring the Psalms to music in beautiful respectful, praising manner and it will get into your mind and heart. It's as if you've memorized the Psalms without trying! Music is so wonderful; I wonder if this was one of its purposes when God created it!
P.S. you can find many videos of theirs on RUclips as well
Praise God
