Clearly the best macbook on this list is the one with the retina display
Which is all of them
^That was the joke
Lol
Yeah man, that one is a no-brainer
Cleeeearly the 15" is the standout.
As an entry level programmer, I will say the best MacBook Pro 15 is the late 2013 without the graphic card version. It runs cooler, no need to worry about graphics issue at all and cheaper as well.
I still use mine to this day! Just delete some bloat files, (still got 126gb left out of 256gb) and clean the fan and dust. Runs perfectly after replacing the battery today!
I would love to see this video EXCEPT on the 13” MacBook ‼️👍
If you want a 13", get a 2013 (Cheap and Iris Pro) or a 2015 (Much better battery life) or a 2018 (Quad Core)
yess pls
Yes please!
I got my 2015 13 mbp on gazelle for about 650 with about 350 charge cycles very good condition besides a hardly noticeable indent above the apple logo(have to look hard to see) 8 gig 2.7 i5 256 ssd. I just use for video streaming and internet though haha I should have just got the 2012 101a but the retina screen does make a difference I think.
@@xwallinx I got the mid 2012 non retina back in 2014, but the screen is really outdated just reading on the web and what not sucks after being used to my iPhone X's display and even compared to my iPad 9.7 inch Pro, ill give gazelle a shot, been looking online for the past few weeks
The 2015 is the model I recommend to almost anyone looking for a used MacBook Pro.
In terms of 2015 MBPs (and lowkey used MBPs in general), the mid 2015 15 inch model is the best choice
@Roussel Bataille my question
@Roussel Bataille the late 2015 probably already incorporated the butterfly and usb c
@@VijayKanta there was actually no late 2015! usb-c and butterfly was released in 2016.
@@depression_isnt_real The 2015 still holds on well, but definitely go for an M1, its gonna last longer and every new app and updates will work guaranteed. The bad side is the lack of useful ports, but dongles are not that expensive!
My old 2012 15” retina still going 💪! 😃
Is it still going?
@@Cade55 yep, and 11” air.
do a dualboot with linux system more life to it hehe
Really good comparison! I've got a mid 2015 15" with Dual Graphics, and for the reasons you stated, I haven't upgraded. You also forgot to mention that the storage upgrade from the 2014 to the 2015 model was huge, the SSD was 3x the speed, meaning everything feels snappier, and the boot/load times were much faster. The 2016/2017 models really were a downgrade in many ways, for the reasons you stated, but also, the 16/17 models had worse battery life, and although the highest end 460/560 GPU's were faster, they actually would perform worse over extensive loads, due to thermal throttling, which you didn't get to nearly the same extent on the 2015 model. Add the fact that the touchbar still has software issues, the speakers on the 16/17 models were prone to failing, and the palm rejection on the trackpad didn't work very well, I'd go for the 2015 even if it were the same price. I think I'll be waiting for the rumored 16" 2019 model to come out before I upgrade!
Also Flexgate on the 2016/2017 models, where the display connector cable could brake, rendering the whole display useless (stagelight effect)! Oh, and no more optical out, glowing apple logo, magsafe... but that stupid T2 chip, wohoo. I hate the newer models. THE 2015 WAS THE LAST GREAT MACBOOK :(
But the 2014 MBP also has a PCIe SSD in it?
Did you ever upgrade?
@@juaneerit’s a gen 3 x2 SSD, while the 2015 has a gen 3 x4 SSD. It has double the PCI-E lanes available for near double the bandwidth. You probably would also get a benefit from a newer and faster PC SSD with an adapter.
I just wanted to thank you for all of your macbook performance vs value comparisons (this one and several others). They are informative, objective, comprehensive, concise and have professional production quality. Your videos have been a key resource in my research for a good quality used macbook. Thank you for the time, effort and experience it clearly took to create them.
I've been using a 2014 13" and it has worked really well for me despite the fact that it was the base model. I just upgraded to the new 14", but I still plan on keeping my old one.
Mid 2015 is the way to go.
is it still worth the buy? im looking at some for college- should i go with the 13 or 15 inch? im thinking 15. i could keep my current 2015 mba for taking to class, and keep the 15 inch mbp (hypothetically) in my dorm..
@@MayTheSchwartzBeWithYou Payed 1100 last December, but with brand new battery, topcase and display. So like a new unit! 2,6/16/512/M370
@Mabel yes
And yet they’re still extremely expensive.

My favorite is the 2014 15 inch retina macbook pro, and I still love it to this day
Luke... i love you. You are my motivation to look for older iMacs, Mac Pros and MacBooks and work on them. after 6 months I am completely in the Apple ecosystem. Really i love the way you present information I love how you seem to really are into the Apple products. ( As long as they come with included monitor stand...)
I just wann to thank you for this RUclips channel.

I have a 2016 13"MBP and have never had a single issue with the keyboard. A few weeks ago I noticed what looked like a swollen battery problem (trackpad wasn't as "clicky", laptop wasn't sitting flat, etc), checked online, my model wasn't covered for free replacement.
Took it to my local Apple certified repair shop and they fixed for free anyway - and of course I got the newer keyboard thrown in. Win!
i know you're a very mac channel but i'd love to see more iPad content now with iPadOS having more mac-like features and the checkm8 bootrom exploit that will allow installing linux and windows arm on iPads
The sweet spot is the 2013-2014 MacBook Pro… with dual graphics. Decent performance for not a whole lot of money and they’re only beaten by the faster chips in Apple’s 2018-2019 lineup.
The Retina model that stands out in the bunch is the A1398 with dual graphics. Hands down, the best Retina laptop Apple made.
One thing I wish you covered in this video is ports. I know it is important to me, to my wife, and to anyone I talk to. Because we all hate dongles, and adapters, it is a pain. It is quite common to find oneself in a situation where you have a bunch of adapters but not the right one, etc. In fact, the reason I bought a late 2013 Macbook Pro 15 inch in 2019, was because I wanted USB and SD card slot, as I am a hobbyist photographer. I love Apple products with exception of ports selection. Take for example a DELL laptop that I use at work. it is several years old, but it has 2 USB A ports, 2 USB C ports, HDMI port, SD card port, and even Ethernet port (plus some other optional port bay). It is the best of all worlds, I can charge through USB-C (same as my 2021 Ipad Pro), Can connect newer things via USB-C, older things via USB-A, and even use SD card slot. SD card slot can also be used in a crunch as an extra storage device. If there is a Macbook Pro model that has a combination of all the ports, please let me know, Ill buy one. But you did not cover ports. I have heard that Apple might possibly bring back some of the ports in the new macbook pros, but I am not holding my breath for it.
I bought a 2013 13" retina about a year ago for $300. Absolutely love love love that display. Performance could be better but it's certainly good enough for photo editing, especially with the aforementioned display.
that price was a steal, nice find
Αρνί Γιούλμπασι I just got a mid 2014 15inch 16gb ram and 512 ssd for 350 😝😎
Thank you for making this video! The graphics failed in my early-2013, so I replaced it with the 2019, and my parents have the 2015 model. I think we have the BEST of both generations, very lucky.
I utterly request you to do this on 13" Mac's.... love from India...!
13" MacBook Pros aren't as good of a value due to them containing exclusively integrated graphics.
@@DKM__ They also contain dual core processors only but for someone who doesn't need a quad core CPU/dGPU, a 13" rMBP would be a better value for that person because the extra price payed for a 15" would only go to the bigger screen, and some people don't care about that.
Next week I'm celebrating the 5th birthday of my macbook pro mid-14 13".
The laptop is still great, actually more great than the new ones and here's why:
1. My macbook has all the ports - 2 usb, SD Card slot, hdmi, thunderbolts and magsafe, which is great and idk why apple replaced really cool magsafe with the normal type-c.
2. It has the great keyboard, which is still fully functional after almost 5 years! It's more comfortable for me and many people tell the same and it doesn't have the crарpy touch bar.
3. It has a bigger battery, even when the laptop 0,001 mm thicker and 2 grams heavier.
4. With Mavericks it works faster than with Sierra, High Sierra or Mojave. Funny, hm? With Mavericks it starts in 12 seconds and with Mojave 25-30, works more smoothly and stable. Probably the Mavericks is the best macOS ever.
5. It cost me back then €1250 and the new ones start at 1400€. With no ports, no magsafe, poor battery life, keyboard problems etc.
So I'm really happy to have this jewel :)
Alexey I just ordered myself a mid-14 15” and seeing this comment only gets my hyped hhaha
Happy 2015 15" user here :)
I hate the models since 2016. But as great Mavericks was, it is too old now. I would strongly recommend you Mojave. This is like a second Snow Leopard. The last good OSX before Crapalina and Bug Sur.
Hey i argued with you on ur comments section it was about an older mac being able to do evrrything a modern laptop can i was wrong im using a 2011 macbook pro and its great just wanted to apolgize
mid 2012 upgrade 1To. 16GB from factory. 8 years now. Lovely machine
I use the 2014 15 inch macbook pro and I have never been disappointed
I personally have an early 2013 15" with the 2.7GHz i7 and 512GB SSD. I bought it broken on eBay for $200, replaced the uppercase (keyboard and battery were bad) and the display. Now I have a really nice MacBook Pro for under $400 and I couldn't be happier! Much better than my 2012 MacBook Air!
I have a late 2014 model MBP. Still working in 2022.
I have the Mid 2015 MacBook Pro 15" with retina display, i7 2.8, 1 TB SSD and dual graphics. It was the top on the line when it came out and I've been so happy with this MacBook Pro.
I just recently bought that one, although mine has the 500gb SSD.
Yall are lucky i have a 2016 15" with 16gb ram and a 2.6 i7
with your advice from watching your channel I purchased a late 2013 model with 512 ssd 16 gb ram and DG for 650 GBP from ebay, It is my fist macbook and apart from past experience with an iPad air, iPods and various iPhones, I have never used a mac, my plan was to get a capable mac at a good price as I plan to go to uni in 2020 and they only use iMacs so I need to learn how to use the mac os, and you have helped me greatly, many thanks!! I also plan to buy the 16 inch macbook when its released and I have my student discount XD so the 2013 mbp will become a back up or my travel mbp,
also could you do a few vids on mac tutorials to help me and other mac noobs find the best apps and what the mac equivalent are for pdf viewers, Microsoft office are and how to install third party programs like VLC, handbrake, calibre etc
many thanks again, keep up with the vids!!
i watch your channel to keep my goal on buying one of those someday for college, keep the great work Luke!
Greetings from Tijuana Mexico!
Great video! I just bought 2015 retina 15' with 2 graphic cards for 600$. I love this Mac book and I am not trying to spend 1000$+ on laptop lol
Took your advice in 2022 and picked up a fully maxed out late 2013 15 inch and the thing kept up with my intel imac. Its a great HD video editing workhorse, and will be an exciting and dirt cheap companion to my new apple silicon desktop once I decide which one to get. Oh yeah it was 250 bucks warrantied and upgraded. Helluva deal!
Thank you. Without watching this video I actually bought one 2,8Ghz with extra graphics card option and all the goodies as a 1T SSD today for $390 including a "Magic Mouse" and a "Magic Keyboard" + charger and newly changed battery.🤠
2015 MBP best of its time. Followed by the 2019.
Cant wait for the M1X model though!
2015 is best ever I see. I used daily and enjoy on it.
3:11 😂😂 I’m dead
2:58
It’s actually Quad-core switched to Hexa-Core
Dual-Core were used on 13-inch Macs and switched to Quad-Core on 2018 model.
It's awesome that you've included some info about cons like specific problems with this macbooks. Great video! (rocking on mid 2012 retina with upgraded ssd to 960gb but soldered 8gb ram ;__;)
@@shu9460Looks like nice deal. I bought mine as refurbushed from Apple website directly, and for daily use, even as a desktop it's really good. Needed to bump highly fan speeds so at 60C they are at 80% of speed and that makes everything ok. Without that the fans will start at 80C and at 100C its boiling water :D so you know.. Really nice things are: Screen, weight, still nice i7. Sadness are 8gb of ram, but you can manage (maybe not with 40 tabs on chrome), as well as 2 standard usb ports (to them i've got attached two hubs 7+2 from tp-link). One thing that was making the mbp get very warm was connecting external display. From the side of mini-displayport it's almost unusable as its get to 80C fast. From hdmi side its kinda ok :) In conclusion - i'm working on high sierra because of CS6 (till last month), but now my new work horse is mac pro 5.1 with 960gb of nvme and 32gb ddr3 ram. This is far better for PS / AI / ID and other software that I use as a photographer and designer.
Oh, I loved the 2015 15" MBP that I had for work back then. Left it behind when I changed my employer, who gave me a 2017 13", which was really bad. It was slower, ran hot, and the keyboard was just crap. The Cmd key came loose, the E key didn't work sometimes, and I didn't like the Touchbar. Now I'm using a 16" Intel MBP, and I still like it very much. My next work machine will be an M series MBP, I'm really looking forward to it!
How to flex:
Just show you’re like 10k MacBook collection

I bought my Early 2013 MBP with i7 and 16gb ram in 2014 for €1400 (new price was €3000). Honestly, the thing has been proven super fast en reliable. I still use it as my daily computer and don’t want to replace it. Machine is more than 6 years old and still top notch!
I also bought an 2014 13” MBP last week that i use in office. Can tell that with an i5 and Iris graphics it is a but slower than my 15”, bit the form factor wins for going to meetings.
Gonna buy my friends macbook pro 2016 15inch for $380 as of this moment. I think its a good deal
Excellent video my man. Mid 2014 15-inch 500gb, 2.5 GHz Intel Core i7, 16gb 1600 Mhz DDR3, Intel Iris Pro 1536MB. Still going strong. Batter replaced once, screen replaced due to mass issues. Replaced rubber boots not very long ago. These machines are built to perform over time. Started using an ultra wide monitor for a desk setup, and it performs well. I can tell that it is working hard, but doesn't seem to be overworked. Hopefully it can continue to stay strong as I use it more at home on the monitor now than I do remotely.
Late 2013 with 16GB ram. Gold
does this model have graphic card issues?
Thank you so much for your help Luke!, I’ll go definitely for the 2015 15inch MacBook Pro retina with dedicated graphics. All of this information is gold,
Keep it up Bro! You’re BIG!
Great comparison! Couldn't agree more: Go with the 2015 for the best power/value ratio, and with the 2018 (better: 2019 / 16") for the most power. The 2016-2017 just suck. Also you forgot to mention FLEXGATE on those models (fixed 2018 onwards).
I have late 2013 MBP Retina 15" and is great. Did replace SSD and changed thermal paste.
As mentioned, later years can’t be upgraded. You had to buy the upgrades from Apple since they couldn’t be done post purchase.
That deterred people from buying them apart from the reputation they acquired with their butterfly keyboard.
what is the thermal paste?
thanks a lot . this video came right on time for me . picked up a mid 2014 dual graphics one for 700$
Thank you Luke...you inspired me to buy an IMac on eBay...I was a bit nervous...but did my research...ended up with a 2011 27 inch in perfect condition for $350...very happy
27 inch, uh
when you said wakie wakie i was in love with you
Still running a mid (late?) 2014 15 inch with Nvidia 750M GPU. This thing is outstandingly reliable, by far the best MacBook Pro I've owned until now. I've had absolutely zero (yes 0 !) issues with it. It is not blazing fast of course for 2019, but still fast enough. I will clearly skip the 2016-2019 generation for the obvious reasons we all know, giving high hopes for the upcoming 16 inch model for upgrade. Great video, thanks!
Absolutely cracking video, just what I was looking for. Top job my friend 👍
Your videos are really helping us bro for the budget am now convinced
2015 Mac is the best. Price good and useable keyboard
Also ports, magsafe, reasonably sized trackpad, glowing apple logo, optical audio out, still great performance... long live the 2015 MBP!
This is good video that I will be back to several times. I have a 2012 MacBook Air that I am looking to replace because the display stopped working. It biggest task is viewing and editing a fairly large Photo library as we are scanning years of photo to make a complete set. Thank so much.
My mid 2015 with dedicated graphics is great, averages 12 hours a day seven days a week and just keeps going. I drag it around Europe and never let me down, maybe change for the 16” depending on spec when it comes out. Always enjoy your videos, presentation is spot on.
i have a mid 2012, works perfectly fine and is still very usable!
I used this to buy my Mid 2015 MBP. Managed to get a warrantied 2.5 i7 with the Dual Graphics for £750... If this ever dies.... If I had to choose right now, I'd probably go M1 Air... But before M1, this is a beast!
Hi! I love your videos and am even more inspired every time I see them.
Watching this in the future and thank you sooo much for this video!
thanks for this. this is the exact video I was looking for
I have a 2017 MacBook Pro 15” never had an issue with it, it’s also interesting in Zone of Tech video when he is talking about his problems, he mentions he has a 2017 with no problems..
Just because you and that guy have no issue doesnt mean the 2016/2017 have serious issues compared to the 2015 and >2018 ones.
I had a mid 2014 i7 for 6 years, I had to wait for the 2019/20 16" before I moved....
I have waited for this video for a long time, so I can get the best retina MacBook pro 💻 whilst being on a budget
9:09 Apple cutting machines with Big Sur and Monterrey: hold my beer
Am still using my MacBook pro retina mid 2012 since then. Almost 10 years, the battery has degraded significantly to only 60% capacity, I have to plug to use most of the time like a desktop lol. Besides that everything else works perfectly! Can't wait to finally go out to replace the battery when the lockdown is over in Vietnam
Fantastic video! Right, what I need!! Thanks a lot!
The mid-2015 models may not be much faster than the 2013/2014 models CPU-wise, but the graphics and storage upgrades are definitely worth noting.
Not to mention the NVIDIA graphics models have a horrendous bug in macOS 10.13+ with the NVDIA drivers where the machine will slow to an absolute crawl in low memory situations when running at higher non-native resolutions (simulated 1680x1050 or 1920x1200). The 2015 model switched to AMD graphics and doesn't have this issue.
Also, another *huge* upgrade with the 2015 models was the upgrade to much faster x4 NVMe SSDs, which are also user-replaceable with the proper adapter.
How about a video comparing the 2013 to a 2015 with a stock and then an upgraded SSD???
I have the mid 2014 with dedicated graphics and it is such a master piece, such a reliable computer, ssd super fast, even faster that some new versions present on some pc's. As for performance, I cannot complain, it delivers. Excellent keyboard, not extreme temperatures as the newest models.
They all have funny production faults built into them, too!😂
Watched this on a "new to me" Mid 2014 with updated SSD 1 TB drive. Love it, but fan runs just using Chrome sometimes? Great video!
jagathon777 it’s because chrome consumes a lot of energy
change good thermal paste, it will change the game... I also have a mid2014 with dedicated graphics. and after a good thermal paste my machine is so cool with normal work and performance is awesome...
Chrome sucks. Why is everyone using that Google spycrap? Pick Safari or Firefox!
Excellent video, as always 👍
Hey Luke, here in the Toronto area the MacBooks have skyrocketed in pricing. I can't get over it but the 2016 models15" models are selling for around CAD $2200 and that is redonks. I am saving up for a 2019 model, hopefully I will have one before the end of the year
Check out the ones on eBay. I have seen some slightly used 2019 15" models go for around that same price. Many of the sellers in the U.S. will also ship to Canada.
I still daily my 2013 15 dual graphics retina patched to Monterey, it’s been with me through hs and college created countless projects and works, if it died tomorrow it wouldn’t owe me a cent. The screen still looks amazing, when I go into Best Buy I don’t see anything with a better screen under a $1000. For photo editing and tethered shooting it’s been amazing. I don’t have much delaminating since I caught it early and used to put the apple cloth in between it every time I’d pack the computer. I changed the battery myself 3 years ago to an ifixit battery and it’s still at 100% health. And now that they have the USB C adapters for MagSafe I can use it with a power bank too. If i did more mobile video editing I’d probably upgrade but my work flow still just uses aperture with plugins, nik and a bit of photoshop and it easily gets through that light stuff.
The only thing I really wish it could do is play 4k YT video without screaming and dropping frames. 1440p 60 is the max, the older macs just suck at video scaling it seems. Even the iPad Pro can easily do that. Kinda pathetic.
Hey Luke, Thank you for your great content. I love You
I bought a 15" Late 2013 MBP new in March 2014 and it's still doing every thing I want from it. I bought a new battery pack from iFixit 2 years ago but the original batteries are still just above 90% so I have not changed them yet.
These MB's are far to expensive for me since I retired so I am hoping this model will last a while yet.
Great video! I'd love to see vids like this one for the MacBook Air, iMac, Mac Mini and maybe even iPhone, too...
Hi Bro, my brand new 15” i7 6 core 2019 is having heating issue at blank space on top of the touch bar. Even replacement did not help me much. Am I stuck with wrong model? Please suggest...
My favorite out of these would be the mid-2014 only because it is the best MBP that can run Mavericks which is my favorite version of OS X/macOS. I still prefer my mid-2012 unibody for the upgradeability though!
You’re still on Mavericks? Have you tried the newer versions?
Yer Bum It’s dual booted on Mavericks and Catalina
watching on a 15'' 2015 macbook pro :)
I still using my 16GB ealry 2015 13 inch MBP until now, for a mild video and photo editing and is still sooo great since they also released Open Core Legacy Patcher so my early 2015 13 inch MBP is now currently using MacOS Sonoma and works so so well makes me think more than twice to replace this machine.. cuz with that newest MacOS I can download all up to date applications that I need .. oh I love this Retina MBP 👍🏻.. trully old but not obsolete
Excellent video, thanks! Managed to get myself late 2013 model in excellent condition for only £170. Im using it as more of a glorified web browser, so it should hopefully last me for years to come.
Grading for me

2.2019/2018 MacBook Pro 15 inch
3.Late 2013/2014 MacBook Pro 15 inch
4.2016/2017 MacBook Pro 15 inch
5.2012/2013 MacBook Pro 15 inch
2019 i7 (basic configuration)... Love it! 💚👍
Very good presentation. I am going to buy a Mac following your advice. Thanks for your great work!!!
You and Dave Lee are the best!
Would you consider making a video attempting to remove the anti glare coating completely from one of the og retina's?
You make awesome videos man! I love macs too :)
3:35 Just got started with the Hitman series this year! Basically my favourite game series of all time along with Last of Us 😂
Just recently got a top spec(save for the 1tb SSD) mid 2015 15” for under $300. It definitely has issues, but it works nearly flawlessly. The bottom case has been sanded on part of it, probably to get rid of branding from a school or business. The screen has pretty bad delamination issues, but I’ll just clean the rest of it off and use it without. The battery is aged and is in need of service, it also has wrinkles in I’ll definitely replace that soon. There’s also a small ding in the top left corner of the display and the hinge is slightly misaligned(although that’s an easy fix) overall it’s a pretty good machine for the price, although it does run a bit hot sometimes even after replacing the paste(it is the top spec though, so that’s expected)
Anyone else also wanting an updated 2022 version of this video? ✋
Mid-2014 is the best! 🙂
I have a Late 2013 MBP 15 inch with dual graphics and my 2018 MBP 15 inch and love them both! One thing that could have been said with the 2016+ is the MUCH improved speakers :)
Mid-2015 with only integrated GPU is still the best for me. I used to have a 2016 15" but after a lot of problems I decided to sell it. Apple changed: 1) SSD which died just after 3 weeks, 2) keyboard 3) wifi and BT module in 6 months. I'm scary now of buying a newer model.
A small correction, the 460,560 are based on Baffin XT code named, Polaris 11 while the 560X is based on Polaris 21. The 460, 560 I believe only have 14CUs/896cores enabled while the 560x has the full Polaris 21 gpu enabled, so 16CUs and 1024 cores. The 460,560 can only clock from 855-907 mhz while the 560x can do 1-1.2ghz, so a jump from 1.5-1.8 tflops to 2.1-2.5 tflops on the 560X. On top of that the 460,560 has 5Gb/s Vram while the 560x has 6-8Gb/s Vram pushing bandwidth up to 112GB/s. So technically they are not the same GPU.
this is very useful thank you!
Interesting that you compared the Retina 2012 to the non-Retina. One issue is that for most people, the 2012 Retina is a great choice because the performance difference is only under certain conditions and the hyper-threading usually covers that. But the real concern here is that you get the best bang for the buck and a Retina display. Having seen Retina vs other laptops, it's simply awesome. So you get: Retina, and great keyboard, and speed that compares pretty well with newer ones. You also get that card slot that can be used for a microSD for backup or additional storage, and the beloved magsafe power cord. That chip that might go bad is scary, but the display is another issue. IDK if they can be seen when the unit is on, but mine looks great when the screen is on. When it's off, I see those marks, but who cares if you can't see them when it's on. BTW, I got mine for $449 w/1 yr warranty.
I’m looking to enter the apple ecosystem now but can’t afford a new one, would it be wise to get a used Retina 15 late 13 at this point?
Yes. I still use 2014 one and it works perfectly. No issues whatsoever.
you can us listerine mouthwash to remove the anti-glare filter pealing of / stain. I did it and worked great, looks brand new
thanks very helpful guide
good comparison. the force touch trackpad on the 2015 model is worth a lot more than the rest. i love it. the 2016 trackpad is just too big!
the best value would be your method of "destroying" a 2016 keyboard three times to get a new model....
The Force Touch is alright, but I still prefer the diving board ones. They give a more tactile feeling. Kinda similar to my opinion on the haptic home button vs the physical home button.
Nice video man
