  • Beginner with Scaler 2 and looking for a tasty way to input chords? There are both song and artist presets to get you started, and the traditional method of picking a scale, key and mode, but what if you have a specific chord progression in mind? Maybe a song you know, but not quite sure how to play? There are several methods for getting that chord progression into Scaler 2 and this video will walk you through the steps.
    If you’re just starting out with Scaler 2, this will give you quick and basic instructions on how to use it. I quickly look at detect mode, chord page and circle of 5ths, and the pad page with performance options.

    I have Scaler 2 and am still at the beginner stage after 1 year. It is fabulous for chords and some of the instruments are really nice. Thank you for making this video. I would love to get a more basic beginner course on it becaue I find with age, and with a ADHD brain there is so much stuff to look at on the interface I very quickly get distracted. I love your calm and easy way of showing what you learn and sharing it with us... I would love to watch a very simple break down of the plugin capability in a user context...

    Hello, I've watched your tutorial several times specially the part that you can just type in the chords. I downloaded the Scaler 2, with all the the in app purchases just over a year ago, and still can't complete a single backing track. I can't seem to find the "chord search" area where you can just type in the chord"s name. Thanks and enjoyed your very informative tutorial.

      Hard to answer without sharing a screen shot, but...far right, next to the keyboard, select '2 Chords' to bring up the chord edit page. You'll see the circle of 5th in the middle. Right next to the circle is a text box labelled 'Chord Search'. Just start to type in the chord name...like 'C min' and it'll show you all the chord names than match.

    nice video, what about apple loops can recognize chords and melody on top?

    • @JeffyG
      @JeffyG  6 месяцев назад

      Apple loops use a *.caf format, which automatically adjusts to the key of the project (GarageBand or Logic). The more typical *.wav files can also be adjusted up or down in pitch, but with tools in your DAW, it's not automatic.

      @@JeffyG gotcha thanks, so if i have wave gotta do transposition, but would not be a problem to import sound in scaler 2 via audio recognition, because from there can write infinite midi with scaler2
