A squatter? Hehehehehehe 🤣🤣🤣 King of Kentucky is definitely bucket list tier for me. Along with some of its brethren OF Birthday Bourbon and President's Choice. Ever since I started dabbling into Brown-Forman juice in the form of black top Early Times Bonded, I've been hooked! I like the dark sweet notes I get from black top Early Times, OF 100 and 1910 so much that some Buffalo Trace products are getting booted out of my top favorites!
Unfortunately I have never seen a King, not even in a museum. You gentlemen are vary fortunate to live in the area you live in and have good friends that send it your way. Cheers 😎🥃
I own one from a short barrel. Bottle 1/40. 134.7 proof. One of the best, if not the best, KOk I’ve had. OBC kitchen in Lexington has a pour of it for 100.

Please release enough for other states to enjoy. Never seen in NC
North Carolina is actually one of the few states that gets an allotment. That being said, they probably only receive a handful of bottles, so your chance of seeing it here is slim to none.

I'd pay $400-500 for a KoK. I love the BF profile and I like the sound of the fruit forward front palate and the long finish. I'll need to hunt a pour.

I would pay $600 retail for KoK. I have had 6 different barrels. 2 are in my top 5 pours and 5 are in my top 10 pours of all time.
Every King has a dark molasses and tar note… like a truck spreading asphalt mixed with molasses. I love JD12 and this year’s M10B just for having that note in the background, but in King, it is the primary note except for the one barrel that did not make my top 10. It was great, just not exceptional. That note was there, it was just less pronounced.
King is the bourbon I didn’t realize I wanted until I had it.
I feel like that is how most people are!

$300 I'm comfortable with, so stretch I'd say $400 for anything. If it's worth it, that'll hurt a little bit, but I'll end up feeling fine with that purchase. Above that, I dunno, you're in liquor science fiction at that point. Economic concepts and the laws of physics don't apply.
