Hi Wanda. They are just paper straws. You can get them from Amazon and eBay 💕. If you search premium paper drinking straws, you can purchase 25 for 99p on eBay 💕
Such Beauties, Ms. Nina!!!! I think making Boho beads are on the top of my favorite crafting projects! May I share one suggestion... IF more stability is needed with the straws, you can line up the inside wire with "perler" beads that, in my case have been abandoned by the granddaughters lonnng ago...LOL As always, you have stepped up the design beautifully, thank you for your tutorial.
Thanks so much Diane. I had so much fun making these. I still have the gorgeous boho beads you sent me and I have to say you did a much better job of the wire wrapping than I did 💕💕💕
Oh my!!! Love love love this!!!...I have some ribbons of Sari Silk that just might work!!! May have gotten other pieces of silk w/ other fabric scraps..will look!!!... That,k you for sharing!!!💝
Hi Nina, Last year I saw one of your videos where you used the leather tassels at the end of wooden blocks and eye hooks. And diamond magic with little scale pictures on the wooden blocks. I have yet to make them but had all the supplies. I have been beading since I was 9 and I just turned 59 last year. This winter on cold days I had planned on making the blocks but now I see these and the materials I have on hand can also be used for these boho bead creations. Also I may take some of the blocks and not add a magazine photo and diamond magic but just leave the wooded block natural and spiral around with my beading wire some pretty beads. I think that would look very cool too or wrap it with fabric and to the same. From Amazon last year I bought the blocks in bulk instead of 20from the Dollar Tree I bought 50 for $3.00. Some are dark wood and some are plain oak. I adore all your ideas as many you already have the supplies in hand and even if you had to buy, they are budget friendly. I love this idea and 2 winters ago a friend whose fingers are getting very bad with arthritis gave me at least $300 worth of all her beads mostly the size of beads you used in the ends and top of your fabric covered straws. I have a few viles if seed beads too. I have needed a new idea for the beads too so this is wonderful. Another cool project. I do not have a television but on cold winter days I can put on my classical music, have a cup of coffee, sit on the sofa with my lap desk and make these.i am thrilled to have a new idea to make for gifts or to sew. My Mum gave me a cute box years ago to do as I wished with it and I will keep my finished boho ones in her box. When I have a few made I will give you a shout out and post them in Instagram. For the next few weeks I will be working evenings and weekends at my job but soon will make these. I do need a fresh bottle of glue and need to get paper straws. In NJ last month all the restaurants now have paper straws but Virginia still use plastic. Come in Virginia get with the program! Thank you for a new gun and exciting idea. Fondly, Rebekah I could not sleep I have terrible leg pain and I went to your sight and picked this one to watch. Your very talented and I love your videos. I love your voice. My Dad is from Oldham and waiting for their VISA the last 2 years before coming to the states in 1947 he lived in Manchester with his grandparents. When he went to school in the states no one could understand him as he had such a accent. They would not allow him to be in a school play that made him very sad.
Hi Rebekah. I love the idea of simply wrapping beads around plain blocks. I want to revisit some of these older projects nearer Christmas as they would make beautiful decorations for hanging from the tree. Hope your leg pain has gone. Happy Crafting 💕
Beautiful Nina. I was recently making some boho beads as well. I use extra book pages or scraps to make my own paper tube centers and then random scraps from my mom's quilting scraps. I use similar colored thin wire and seed beads and other book pages and fiber. I enjoy the the look of boho beads and you're right, they are very fun to make. Have a wonderful weekend.
Your beads are beautiful. I like how you made them. I wasn't sure at first when you cut the straws short but they turned out so pretty. Thank you for sharing your video. Be Blessed, Safe and Healthy From Florida 🇺🇸
I made these fabric beads for another craft which added these beads to old knitting needles to make plant stakes. I will use the left overs to make these boho beads and add to the end of sun catchers I will make this summer. Great idea thank you!!!
Loving your video, easy to follow and end project looks great too. Thank you for sharing and hoping your all keeping safe best wishes from us all in Bishopstoke England xxxxxx
Hi Nina , I enjoyed your tutorial, you do a great explaining how to make the beads, just enough talking without going on and on. Like that you added the tip about the glue and where you got the little storage box. Great job! Now I will give it a go.
What a brilliant idea and video which my daughter and I can do together but I will be doing the glue bit lol and Jazmine can give to her friends at school for their bags. Thank you for sharing xxxxxx

Great tip with the fabric-Tac! Lovely beads. I have loads of sari ribbon to use. Ha e a fantastic weekend, Nina. We have 1-2 ft of snow coming tomorrow with good winds and below zero windchill. Will stay inside and continue making valentines and some beads. Thanks for the inspiration.
Thanks Cheryl. I have to admit, it was Alex’s idea and its worked a treat. I was about to bin mine as it was so thick and unworkable. Its turned very cold here too, but luckily no snow forecast, just a few flutters. Stay warm and happy crafting 💕💕💕 xxxxxxxx
These are lovely and bright great tut on the fabric wrapping that's the only bit I wasn't sure of. With scraps of paper to make your own base is a great idea from one of your other comments.... Fab Boho xx
