Nice😁 They are so worth it in my opinion even stock but yes with a good little 45-50a esc and a dumborc radio system they are insanely fun🤪 Good luck with the build mate!
@@rccrazyMan this little cheap bashers are soooo worth it, i bought the gantry pro version and that thing is fast and tough as hell and im definitely doing this conversion since i fried the ESC cuz i put a 3s lipo on it just being curious lol.
100% mate! I love the JJRC platform for the price👌 And just curious, was your stock esc held down by 3 screw tabs? Mine do not have tabs but instead held down with double side tape. It seems the only ones that can run 3s are the ones without the tabs and no one is really sure why🤷
@@rccrazy Yes mine goes with 3 screws tabs, i didn’t know that tho it’s definitely weird 🤔 Oh and how did you fit the stock motor plugs with the new ESC? Are the same width and length? Because the ESC plugs look a little bigger
Just got the blue version yesterday....don't know if it is any difference in them, but this thing is crazy stock, so I can only imagine how smooth that one handles with those upgrades......gonna get a few more of these👍👍👍👍👍
Oh yes stock on 2s is so much fun and honestly probably more than enough for most people, they do get a bit hard to handle on 3s but I can't help myself🤭 Thanks for watching mate!
Not sure what persuaded mean, I'm thinking it's similar to convincing😅 but yeah a good little 45-50a esc and a decent radio these do even better than stock😁
Awesome tests. I just ordered mine. Already had the brushed version of the green Conquer pickup, now waiting for the brushless green coupe. Will definitely modify it 😁
@@rccrazy Pulled out my brushed version today and it's only 3WD Looks like I might have done what uou did, lost an axle pin ? How did you fix that. I have no real rc tools or spares yet. Is there an easy fix ?
If it is the wheel pin the easiest way to fix it is buy new ones, don't think they would cost much. I have multiple still in the box spare cars to pull parts off as I love these so much😅 But I highly recommend checking everything including the diffs, the brushed ones have plastic gears and do strip easily, that can cause loss of drive to 1 or more wheels.
@@rccrazy I wonder where I could get them ? Do Temu or Ali Express have them. There are no rc shops within about 200km of here and I rarely get to a real town or city, so I'm limited to online ordering. Things take weeks to arrive here too, West Coast, South Island New Zealand. I might not be driving again till my Q117 arrives in a couple of weeks.
Oh, and I did see the wheel pin was missing, but I'll check it all out in case. I've never taken anything like this apart, and at 65 my eyesight is pretty shot so have trouble seeing small stuff, but I saw that pin was missing :)
Thanks bud😅 Yeah the shocks made a massive difference👌 They are a little long though, the car can't bottom out if it needs to, lots of stress on the shocks.
Good video. Nice bash session. That one jump with 6 flips was crazy. I tried counting them in the slow mo run but lost track. I'm glad you put it in there. Happy New Year!
I have a SU CHI YU brushless ‘sweep’ which looks like yours in the vid and needing some spare parts. My son bashed it a little hard and lost a wheel off it - couldn’t find the wheel nut or the hub pin. Have you got a link for anything that would work? Also a link for some oil filled shocks. Thanks legend Matt
For some reason I can not find any stock wheel nuts or pins on the spare part listing's🤔 You can just use standard 1/10 nuts and pins though. And shocks, these should work well. www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005311280822.html?src=google&src=google&albch=shopping&acnt=631-313-3945&slnk=&plac=&mtctp=&albbt=Google_7_shopping&albagn=888888&isSmbActive=false&isSmbAutoCall=false&needSmbHouyi=false&albcp=19821179470&albag=&trgt=&crea=en1005005311280822&netw=x&device=m&albpg=&albpd=en1005005311280822&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiAloavBhBOEiwAbtAJOy3bT07ibsC8Of5yE9j0mt0ZRHcTkiRiMN5W9wbIqFisTYvd5gwTehoC39IQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds&aff_fcid=043b3e493c98445bbb270d358f3b4f21-1709345796223-01812-UneMJZVf&aff_fsk=UneMJZVf&aff_platform=aaf&sk=UneMJZVf&aff_trace_key=043b3e493c98445bbb270d358f3b4f21-1709345796223-01812-UneMJZVf&terminal_id=efe87644804240ecb8bbcce7e262df0c&afSmartRedirect=y
Well as I said in my other reply if your 2in1 board has no tabs you can run the stock system on 3s. But in this video I was using a proper stand alone 45a esc and dumborc radio system. Any 45a or 50a esc will work.
I highly recommend getting a set of wltoys 124019 FRONT shocks for both front and rear. OR a full set of MJX Hyper Go shocks as they are a little shorter than the wltoys front shocks and fit this car almost perfectly👌 If you google MJX Hyper Go shocks you should find heaps available from many places.
this truggy is amazing. I'm thinking to order one ! Could you tell me please if you've ordered 4x the rear oils shocks form wltoys, 4x the front one or 2x front + 2X rear ?
Definitely worth the money these cars👌 I didn't order shocks but yes the rear shocks are wltoys and I think the fronts are from MJX. If you can get a full set off MJX hyper go shocks they fit much better, wltoys shocks are too long and bind up and sometimes bend the driveshafts
The 850mah are perfect size so basically all 1500mah 3s lipos would be too big for the actual battery bay. Some people want long run time so they strap a bigger lipo on the top centre brace. Personally I much rather sacrifice a little run time for a lighter car, not prevention but a little less chance of damage. But also, by raising the lipo which is a heavy component you raise the centre of gravity, top heavy means more chance of rolling in turns. Apologies if you already knew all this😁
Does anything bind up using the wltoys suspension, or is it all good? I know you have a lot of experience with these cars. Which shocks do you recommend?
The shafts do bind a bit if you use the longer 70mm rear wltoys shocks, I use the front shock all round on this car, they are 65mm and that seems to be about maximum shock length with no shaft binding👌
@rccrazy hey mate, i just got one of these, do you know if there is a way to fix the front toe? It out atm and want to make it more straight. Thanks in advance
You just need slightly longer steering tie bars, that will reduce the toe out. I believe there are adjustable ones for these cars but I'm not sure where to find them, probably Aliexpress or Banggood
Your videos are great, could give a tip. What do you use for lubrication in the set of differentiated customers, to make the car faster? Silicone and which promotes recommends? or marine grease?
Thanks mate👍 If you mean what should you use in the differentials then I think marine grease is fine to use but I personally only use it for the diff crown and pinion gears, I only use proper diff oil inside the diffs. This car I would probably use 30,000w diff oil front and rear. But diff oil or grease will not make your car faster it will just change the handling characteristics depending on the thickness of the oil you use. You want to go faster you need a larger motor pinion gear or higher volts, 3s lipo.
I believe if you turn the motor mount around 180° it allows you to install a 20t pinion gear without any modification. If i remember correctly the motor gear is mod0.6 so try google (20t mod0.6 pinion gear 3.175mm) You should get some results👍 Diff ratio is a little different and I have not looked into that for ANY cars
Hey Albert👋 So basically if you get a higher C rated 2s you should gain a bit of speed but mostly punch, at the same time increasing the capacity will give you a slight increase at the top end. So saying that however big you can fit in the tray and like 70C or higher will be best. I think 2200mah 3s is the largest I run in mine so you may find some 3000mah 2s that will fit. And fans, anything with a high rpm rating, I think I use 35mm 21000rpm fans, unbranded.
Thank you 🙏 i hella appreciate u. One more thing. I might of found a fan but what do i connect it to . Im confused about where im supposed to connect it to . Is there a specific type of connector ?
Hello, good morning, does the ZEEE 850mah 100c 3S battery fit the car without any problems without making any modifications and without the battery coming out? Stay tuned to your comments . The truth is that I am about to buy it but I want to know what type of 3s battery I should buy and that it fits without a problem and can run at 50mph. greetings
Hey, I'm looking at doing some upgrades I would like to know what 3s battery you recommend without changing the motor etc and leaving everything stocks
So first thing, if you have a esc 2in1 board that is held down by 3 screws I highly recommend not running 3s at all as it will almost definitely fail. If it has no tabs but is held down with double side tape and zip tie then you can run any 3s that fits.👍
I am now using a hobbywing 10bl50a 3s esc but to run a separate esc you must also use a hobby grade radio system, you can not use the original controller or 2in1 board with a separate esc like in this video.
It's no work it's literally remove the old electronics and install hobby grade electronics. But I did say you can NOT use the original controller with a new esc, you NEED a new controller and receiver also.
Brother mjx oil shock can use to him.. My 16101 pro im just upgrade finish only.. Im use platinum 2845 4370 kv brushless motor, 80a brushless ESC, oil shock & metal lower arm..im use 3s run the top speed is 80kmh-98kmh... But need more lower a little bit... Brother have a good days ya... God bless you away..
Awesome😁 But just keep in mind if your 2in1 board is the version with 3 mounting tabs it will most likely fail on 3s. Only the tab less ones work on 3s.
Olá, irmão, tranquilo? Eu também fiz uma pequena alteração, deixei o meu jjrc Q130 com o motor original e substitui o esc de 35A por um esc de 45A reserva do meu outro carro hyper Go 16208. Ficou bom também...você poderia me dar alguma sugestão? Ótimo video💪💥
Yeah it's the quickest way to get a bit more out of the car👌 Only thing I would really suggest if you haven't already is add good oil shocks, can make a huge difference.
Cheers man, mine's arriving from Temu tomorrow :D Seems like a fun car. I also like to mix these small cheaper ones, as in my case, with more expensive crawlers. Greetings from Sweden!
Nice mate, they are very fun cars👌 Yes there are quite a few very good for the price budget cars these days and hopefully they are only going to get better and cheaper😅 Thanks for watching mate.
I don't believe so unless you use a voltage dropper then to the receiver. If I remember correctly this car lights are maximum 3v and a hobby grade receiver BEC is 5-6v.
Any problems running a 45A ESC on 3S? Is the 45A enough? Wisjed i could find whay wattahe the motor is. That's what I am going to put on mine. Going to use a 2200mah 50c battery and make a mount on the car for it.
30 euro is a little high but not over the top. If you can be bothered looking, the stock shocks from the MJX Hyper Go fit perfectly on this car and I couldn't see them being more than 20 euro from most places, Aliexpress should have them.
Most lipos are very similar so most 850mah 3s or upto 1500mah 2s should fit, I don't get long runtime on any car but for most people probably around 15 minutes. And I use wltoys oil shocks on mine, work fine.
I'm absolutely loving your videos brother!! I have the same truggy, heavily modified and the thing is a weapon! Just curious if you run diff oil or lithium grease in these diffs?? My truggy is made by a different company but it's the exactly the same build. If I'm not mistaken, the diffs are not sealed with an o-ring so can diff oil still be used in them? I've been running Lucas white lithium grease in mine but had issue with a few of the front diff teeth deteriorating which I think was from running 25mm wheel spacers and larger wheels (too much weight and stress on the diff gears). Any help would be greatly appreciated brother! Keep ripping!
Thanks mate glad your enjoying some of my content🙂 Yes I am running diff oil on the internal gears, 30k rear 50k front. I didn't notice if my 3 rigs had o-rings but I wouldn't imagine so, no oil coming out yet so seems fine to me. You can use grease but the problem with it is it doesn't run like oil so once the centrifugal force have pushed all the grease to the diff walls there are voids around the gears no longer lubricating them.
@@rccrazy Amazing! Thanks for the quick reply and I'm going to take your advice and swap out the grease for some 30 and 50k oil to see how it feels on that setup! Hopefully the oil will help preserve my diff gear teeth too! Keep the awesome content coming!
You are very welcome and great to hear your going to try my preferred set-up, it may not be exactly what you need but its a good place to start with diff experimenting😊 Make sure to keep putting grease on the diff crown and pinion gears though, I rarely have issues with the internal diff gears it's always the crown and pinions🤦
Thanks mate👍 I believe a 22t pinion a 6000kv motor a quality 60a esc and a good quality high C rated 3s lipo this car would blitz 100kph IF it stays on the ground😅
I have been using the original MJX HyperGo wheels on it for some time now and they are great👌 www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005713639259.html?src=google&src=google&albch=shopping&acnt=631-313-3945&slnk=&plac=&mtctp=&albbt=Google_7_shopping&gclsrc=aw.ds&albagn=888888&isSmbAutoCall=false&needSmbHouyi=false&src=google&albch=shopping&acnt=631-313-3945&slnk=&plac=&mtctp=&albbt=Google_7_shopping&gclsrc=aw.ds&albagn=888888&ds_e_adid=&ds_e_matchtype=&ds_e_device=m&ds_e_network=x&ds_e_product_group_id=&ds_e_product_id=en1005005713639259&ds_e_product_merchant_id=109331062&ds_e_product_country=AU&ds_e_product_language=en&ds_e_product_channel=online&ds_e_product_store_id=&ds_url_v=2&albcp=19821179470&albag=&isSmbAutoCall=false&needSmbHouyi=false&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwm_SzBhAsEiwAXE2Cv_Xa765B1tr8HDnMATcnpJMHjsIDJ0MBgCYu3hgpsHhKD8p3KK_wvhoCAZgQAvD_BwE&aff_fcid=c7baed539ba04457897d099c32fb80f9-1719541847846-00243-UneMJZVf&aff_fsk=UneMJZVf&aff_platform=aaf&sk=UneMJZVf&aff_trace_key=c7baed539ba04457897d099c32fb80f9-1719541847846-00243-UneMJZVf&terminal_id=efe87644804240ecb8bbcce7e262df0c&afSmartRedirect=n
Hey, I love your videos I just bought this car and was thinking about running it on 3S out of box. I’m having trouble finding a 3S battery that will fit into the tray. Do you have any suggestions?
Thank you! Most 650-850mah 3s lipos should fit. I use ZEEE Premium 850mah 3s, they fit perfectly, I can't seem to find them anywhere now though🤔 Sorry about that.
If you mean specifically the ZEEE 850mah 3s lipos then yes that seems about right, think I paid $40aud for a 2 pack a few year's back, still work good👌
No these 2in1 combos can not bind to a different controller, you have to have the correct receiver for whatever controller you want to use. Therefore you MUST change the esc and receiver because you cannot separate the stock 2in1 combo.
Hi Im curious what does it mean that "stock ESC causing cut outs" ? What is cut out? I have problems with braking. When it was new it brake from high speeds to zero immediately. Now even from lower speeds it took like a second to stop and its a little bit dangerous and unpredicable, because sometimes it dont brake but try to reverse instead but I dont know what is problem if remote control or brushless motor or ESC. Any clue man? THX nice bashibg in your video I want to enjoying mine to.
Hey mate, not sure if your the same person I spoke to via email but I do not know why your esc is doing that, just worn out maybe, all you can really do is test a new esc and if that's not the issue it'll most likely be the controller.
@@rccrazyyes thats me I was just hoping here is some method how to find out the culprit. Its not so easy just to buy ESC as in these toys there is only one stock 2in1 working. And if its not ESC than can be remote. The second option is to buy new better ESC but also receiver and new remote control which will cost more that the car itself so Im desperately finding informations and possible solution to go the cheapest way. I just cannot try and return back stock ESC in my country as return post fees are as much expensive as ESC itself 😊
@kultus26 the most likely culprit as I said is the 2in1 as it is both the receiver and esc on one motherboard. The cheapest and easiest way to find out if it's the 2in1 board is just buy a new one, it will work with the controller you already have. Remember they bind together every time when you turn on the car and controller so a new 2in1 has the same protocol/sync firmware as your original 2in1.
Yes I know that but thanks to remain me...the thing is to blindly buy $20 ESC and hope it will help. But if there is no way or method how to find out for sure maybe I will have to buy it.
If there is a method to find out for sure if a 2in1 combo is faulty then no I have never heard of it. But as I said in your video it looked to be working fine because it did break normally when you were close to what I think was a back or front door. If it's going to slow when you hit the break they will all go straight to reverse, that is 100% normal.
Not with the stock 2in1 receiver/esc board, you have to have the matching dumborc receiver to pair to the controller and also a separate or stand alone esc.
@@rccrazy Hello sir! My car has arrived! So, if I change the ESC to use a Dumbo RC controller, can I plug the lights to work too? And can this motor handle 3s batteries after changing the ESC? I'm a beginner! Thanks ^^
So if I remember correctly the lights will work but you will need a adapter to go from the little plug on the lights or solder on a standard 3 wire plug so it can be installed onto the hobby grade receiver.
I only changed the ESC but I don't have a link, I can't find these ESCs anywhere. You don't really need to change it though as the car does run on 3s stock.
Yes you can, I just found it would cut of ever now and again, not alot so I'm guessing it was just getting a little over worked and needed a 10sec rest. I did upload another video after this one with the stock 2in1 board back in it and got like 90kph on 3s🤯😅 Awesome cars stock👌
What you need a esc for? These run on 3s stock standard no problem as long as you don't change to a higher kv motor (4000kv max with the stock 2in1 board) or use a bigger pinion gear.
Can't the original ESC handle 3S? I saw a listing on Amazon for the same car from a different vendor claiming that it can, i just recently bought one of these during aliexpress's recent 11.11 sale and managed to get it for 66$ which even on 2s is quite a crazy price point for a 1:16 scale that does nearly 60km and with many metal parts I've also bought some 11.1v 1100mah batteries for it as the ones i have are way too big, i haven't received the car yet but if the stock ESC can really take 3s and potentially do 80+k then that's some amazing value even at the normal price of 90-100$.
They can definitely run 3s stock and yes I got I think 81kph on 3s but with different wheels. This is the video I believe👇 ruclips.net/video/hnrCg5WIuJw/видео.html
So sorry for the late reply. You can use any 3s that physically fits in the car/battery bay. A good brand recognition for these smaller lipos would be CNHL, great lipos!
Did you make a mount for your esc? I think the one I have is a little bigger. Fits between the screw holes of the old one just needing a way to strap it down. Hate to use a a zip tie through the frame. May just cut a plastic mount that matches the screw holes and zip tie it to that.
No I'm using the stock esc mount and I have zip tied the upgraded esc to it, I'm actually running a 50a esc on the stock mount now zipped aswell and it fits fine. Not sure how or why yours is different🤔
@rccrazy went back and watched your first video of the unboxing to see what was different. Yeah mine is a tad different. The esc actually screws right to the chassis on mine.
@kevb1050 oh wow really🤔 Might have to check my spare one, got it way after the original one so maybe they change the esc the newer production runs and that's why some people can't run 3s, some have been catching fire apparently😬 All 3 of mine ran 3s stock set-up with ZERO issues.
@rccrazy mine looks about the same but has 3 tabs with holes for screws to mount to chassis. Just gonna make a plastic template and screw it down then zip tie the esc to the plate. My box says Q117 but it has the Sweep body.
Yeah im not sure, my mount is screwed onto the chassis with 3 little tabs and the esc is double sided taped on, sure you didn't just miss the tape between the esc and mount?
Hlo bro, Do you still use this battery with this car ? Is it risky ton put 3s battery in this ? Just got this little rc car 2s or 3s, can you suggest a good batttery for this car, i want good performance with great play time.
I still use 3s yes but there are 2 different versions of the 2in1 boards in these cars, one can handle 3s the other does not like 3s. The ones with 3 screw tabs holding it to the chassis fail on 3s more often than not. If yours is held down by a zip tie and double side tape then you should be safe to run 3s. Most 3s lipos upto 850mah should fit, check the measurements to make sure it fits in the battery bay before purchasing👌
It's physics mate, if the wheels are big and heavy enough it will create centrifugal force making the car itself flip backwards, slam on the brakes and it will do a front flip because your stopping the wheels technically reversing the force which makes the car flip forward. That is how you control the flip, more throttle to flip and then break just enough to level the car without it flipping forward.
@@rccrazy Ok, what is your opinion on the batteries? 20 minutes is not enough, but charging for 3 hours is a joke. Do you have a tip for batteries that fit and last longer
@KevinVonTriller I would suggest getting a proper charger and multiple batteries, a hobby grade lipo charger will charge any battery within 1 hour most of the time less. Just stay away from the Imax B6 charger, they are the worst!
Mate help something happened to my JJRC battery.. I bought new JJRC but it is not moving backward or forward but yes the steering works, it turns left and right but the light of the RC flashes continously which is a sign of battery mal fucntion, Now what should i do?
So sorry mate I did not get a notification for your question😬 If you haven't already you can just buy a new 2in1 board(esc and receiver box) that is the cheapest and easiest way to find out, no other way of really checking. Good luck and again I am so sorry🙏 Oh if you tried to run 3s and that's when it stop that would be because some do not like 3s and fail straight away and won't run on 2s after that.
Hello, I also want to do an esc upgrade and I wanted to ask which receiver is available for the standard controller. I don't want to buy a new controller now, there are options to keep the standard controller, just get the new receiver
No it does not work like that, different brands use different protocols, the actual firmware or programming is different, not compatible with each other. You can only use the stock 2in1 board with that controller
@rccrazy hey, I've got the exact same car and put a 3s in and it cooked the esc after a few minutes. I'm wanting to upgrade the esc to maybe a 45a that can handle 3s but is there any way of programming the existing remote to a new esc or would I have to get a new remote? If so what esc and remote combo would you recommend? I have zero knowledge on this stuff so any help would be great thanks
As stated in my above reply to Lypo663, you will need a new radio system(transmitter and receiver) to use a hobby grade esc. Radio system I always recommend the DumboRC X6FG radio system, cheapest for quality in my opinion. And esc PLEASE get a good quality one if you want quality control, Hobbywing is my GOTO brand for escs again for cost vs quality. I'm currently running the Hobbywing WP-10BL-50a esc in mine, you need to remove the esc mount and screw tabs to fit it in the correct spot, but it EASILY handles 3s with the stock motor and gearing👌
Cool man👍 With the brushed versions I would just recommend keeping an eye on the diff cups and driveshafts, I found the plastic components to be quite soft even on the 2s 2in1 combo, maybe why they limited the 2in1 to 2s🤔
Yes the brushed one's have a steel centre shaft and possibly spur but my 2 brushed versions both came with plastic diffs and wheel shafts. They could've upgraded the brushed versions, im not sure. Sorry mate!
Friend... where did you get the suspension and the battery to make the modification? .. it was perfect .. very good speed and you have a good handling of the vehicle... Regards!!
Thank you Luis👍 The shocks came off one of my wltoys 144001 and the battery would've come from ebay Australia. I know these specific batterys are getting harder to find now but most 850mah 3s lipos should fit. Shocks are available everywhere I would imagine, try Aliexpress, they should have them.
Btw lookin at the video i was trying to figure out were u able to put the new battery in the same spot? Cause im lookin at batteries now and they seem bigger than mine
As I said in one of the other messages, most 2s upto 1500mah should fit and the 3s I personally use are ZEEE 850mah 100c 3s lipos, they fit PERFECT! And you can 100% run the stock set-up on 3s
@rccrazy oh shit thats crazy i guess i might do just that so im assuming when u say 850mah u actually mean 850 and now 8500?? Cuz 8500 with 100c would definitely be bigger lol
@proefficientsvision6325 yes 3s is 11.1v and 2s is 7.4v. That is the general rule if you want more speed you go more volts, as long as the system can handle it! Not all but some so called 2s 2in1 boards can run 3s because the manufacturers have under speced the capabilities because of safety reasons, it's always better to have backup power/current that you don't use to make sure nothing fails or gets overworked. Example A motor rated at 30a on 7.4v should always run with a 30a or higher esc on 7.4v to ensure the esc does not fail if it ever surpasses 30a. Bigger wheels, overgearing, over voltage can all cause these issues if your not aware of the system specs.
@proefficientsvision6325 yes 850mah is 850😅 Mah or milliamps is the capacity of the battery, how much time/current it can store. In general a 850 to1000mah 3s will be around about the same size as a 1500mah 2s.
Thank you. The only things I changed was the esc but this one is discontinued, you can use basically any 40a to 60a esc on the market as long as they fit under the shell. The shocks(wltoys shocks) available everywhere. And the radio system(Dumborc X6FG radio) available everywhere.
Sir i have the same model rc car like 16101 but q117 with the same parts and esc 35a2 is it possible to buy this 3s lipo and get this speed without any other modification..
If you mean 3s on the stock 35a esc 2in1 then yes it is possible but not without the chance of the esc blowing or failing. Quite a few people recently have said their cars failed on 3s.
Awesome :) I wanted to ask some questions :1. is that car waterproof? 2. Does it worth to change to aluminium parts? 3. What length you need from the shock absorbers? 4. What cst oil you need for those? Thank you
Not sure about water proof but people have used them in water. Most of the plastic parts are fine, plastic can flex preventing other parts failing, lighter and much cheaper if you need to replace. Best shock length would be 60mm front and maximum 70mm rear. Personally for this size car I would use 40-50w oil or 600-800cst.
Great advice in my opinion, I don't like running my cars in water even if they claim 100% waterproof, you just never know what could happen when you mix water and electronics.
Your video is very good, congratulations, Could you provide the link to purchase the ESC upgrade, etc... What did you install in the car please? Thanks
Thank you very much👍 And very sorry I did not get a notification for your first comment. All I changed was the esc to a 45a 3s capable ESC. BUT! You don't need a new ESC, all you need is a 3s lipo that fits, I use 850mah 3s lipos, but the stock ESC or 2in1 board runs 3s not a problem and still does 90kph😁
@@rccrazy Thank you very much for your attention, please ask me a question, can I put a 3S battery with this 35A 2S ESC that came standard from the factory? And running normally in this car, won't it burn?
Not much difference from experience plus basically all except a few high quality lipo brands WAY over exaggerate the c rating. Apparently 70c is around the maximum our current technology can actually achieve so there is not really such things as a 100c lipo as many companies claim🤦
Just a dumborc radio system and a small 45a 3s capable esc. I think these escs have been rebranded and now they are under the Flycolour brand, search Flycolour 45a esc and you should find some.
So no and no basically. Do not leave a lipo unsupervised while charging, don't go out or go to sleep when charging lipos! And no you can not leave them fully charged or discharged for more than a few days as it can permanently damage cells and can become dangerous. ALWAYS storage charge lipos if they are not going to be used for a while.
@rccrazy and yeah thanks, I'm soon getting lipos for my rc car and seen videos of them exploding l. Don't want that to happen to me. And one more, can when u say don't leave them fully charged and discharged, what can I do to keep it that way? Charge it for like an hour everyday?(sorry I'm new to this kind of stuff)
By the sound of it you do not have a proper balance charger just the usb one that comes with the model right? You need to get yourself a hobby grade lipo charger, they have storage mode which means it only charges the lipo to its SAFE storage voltage, that being 3.8v to 3.85v per cell. Storing them at low voltage is probably worse as they can drop below their safe minimum voltage and its hard to recover dying cells. The other way you could do it is charge the lipo drive your car for a while(10mins or so) then check the voltage with a lipo checker(cheap online) if each cell is close to or a little above 3.8v stop using it and you can store it. Every month or so check the cells and if they have dropped below 3.8v you will have to charge it and repeat that process until you get a good balance charger.
I can no longer get that esc not available anymore, but you can use any 45a or 50a 3s compatible esc. The only other thing I added to this car was the shocks from a wltoys 144001 but they are a little too long for this car. Measure your shocks then google THAT length plus "oil filled shocks" and you should find some that will fit.
Most brushless motors will run on any esc as long as it(the esc) is high enough amps. A esc is what provides the power, it pushes power into the motor, the motor doesn't pull power from the esc so it's always better to have a higher amp esc so it can always provide enough amps the motor needs to perform at its best. But this 45a esc on 3s will be fine for a long time but 60a will most likely give the car better punch and possibly a little more speed. PLEASE stay away from Surpass escs, they are ALL terrible. Get a good quality esc (Hobbywing or equivalent) and you will have a much more responsive and reliable car.
You will also need to download the SkyRC app www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006186039753.html?src=google&src=google&albch=shopping&acnt=631-313-3945&slnk=&plac=&mtctp=&albbt=Google_7_shopping&albagn=888888&isSmbActive=false&isSmbAutoCall=false&needSmbHouyi=false&albcp=19821179470&albag=&trgt=&crea=en1005006186039753&netw=x&device=m&albpg=&albpd=en1005006186039753&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiA98WrBhAYEiwA2WvhOiRRl8uOcdXBzoTYIL3EHWfyGrtL60zlBoEIUie0GKmGGxuNVnzwPRoC3jsQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds&aff_fcid=fe771116d1694ad88cd5f474f67da303-1702010303007-01410-UneMJZVf&aff_fsk=UneMJZVf&aff_platform=aaf&sk=UneMJZVf&aff_trace_key=fe771116d1694ad88cd5f474f67da303-1702010303007-01410-UneMJZVf&terminal_id=a47acc8ce4fb4ff6b7402d104288dd9c&afSmartRedirect=y
I change it back to stock in the video after this and ran 3s and got 81kph I believe, been running 3s fine ever since. They are not rated to 3s but the escs without the 3 screw tabs do seem to do fine on 3s. The ones WITH the mounting tabs, no definitely not!
One of the best RC values on the market today! You will burn out the 2s esc though. I converted mine to a 2-4 cell and am getting nearly 50 mph and the motor never gets hot! It's completely uncontrollable at 4s!
I'm not sure what brand you got but I am using a Hobbywing 50a esc in mine and it fits in the same spot as the stock esc so I would think a 45a would fit also.
Yeah man it's crazy, I was not expecting to gain over 20kph🤘 I would have to slot the motor mount but I have done it on these mounts before so yes could definitely gear up maybe 5-6teeth. And yeah all metal drivetrain and diffs👌
Isn't 100C battery too much for a 45A esc?Wouldn't using a higher esc not only provide better performance but also reduce the possibility of the esc melting? Just asking i m newbie and wanna make it like your upgrade
The c rating is only how much power can be pulled from the lipo at once, won't effect the esc just means the esc has plenty of power to pull from the lipo. The only reason you can't go a bigger esc is because they physically won't fit in these small cars.
@@rccrazy i was ordered a Hobbyfans 3650 3500KV motor and GOUPRC 60A esc and injora remote set with gyro and then kingmax 15kg servo this is a bad combo for 1:14 ? :D idk im too new If I made a mistake please reply me I still have the possibility to return them
Oh mate I think you'll have to return it all🫤 These cars use 28mm motors like a 2840 or 2847 like stock, 36mm motors won't fit without modifying the mount, the other thing is 3500kv is slower than the stock 4000kv motor. GoolRC escs are bad quality but 60a will not fit anyway. And a 15kg servo would almost definitely be standard size meaning 1/10, they will not fit you need a mini servo, the stock servo should work fine or a good drop in servo is the JX 1181MG servo. The remote set you can use that's fine.
@@rccrazy My model is Q146, I think it's 1:14, but I canceled it because you said it wouldn't fit. Actually, I preferred the 3650 motor because the shaft and shaft length are the same with 2847 only different motor scale... i saw on aexpress Ysido 2847 4300KV and 45A esc combo is it worth to buy ? i wanna make min 70KMH :D I'm waiting to answer from you to buy, I'm open to better advice.
Hello, I wanted to connect my RC car to my new ESC, but the cable connections from the new ESC didn't fit and it wobbled a lot. Then I took a few rubber hoses, attached them, everything was tight. but it doesn't connect, as if the ports aren't touching. Have u an idea, how I can fix my problem?
Your not trying to connect a esc to the original 2in1 board are you? The 2in1 board IS a 35a esc and receiver combo so if you are your actually trying to plug a esc into another esc😬 The stock 2in1 board has to be removed and then replaced with a separate esc and receiver aswell as the controller for the new receiver.
Throttle reverse switch on the controller. OR If it's acting normally (normal throttle, brake and reverse) but the wheels are just spinning in the wrong direction simply swap any 2 of the 3 motor wires around and that will reverse the motor direction.
Well I did too originally because when I tried 3s the first time it cut out multiple times like a over voltage or over amp protection. When I tried again it was fine and it's been fine ever since🤷😅 Many people run these on 3s so I think you should be fine👍
I don't understand, fish?🤔 I ONLY changed the esc and receiver in the car. And why you keep calling me uncle? Please don't, I don't like it! My name is Saul
This particular brand is JJRC or Su Chi Yu but yes there are many clones or copies of many RCs these days, companies can't design there own RCs so they use what already exists and just put there own name on it. Its kind of sad in my opinion😕
If you mean how to plug in the esc then you will need a new controller and receiver as the 2in1 board is the stock esc and receiver, you can not use the stock controller with separate escs
So in Australia it would cost around $100 Australian dollars, not sure where you live. And to your esc question, you can use any 45a to 50a esc, most should be 3s capable so if it fits under the shell it will work fine.
@rccrazy alright sounds pretty simple I think I understand now. Only thing is I'm trying to find a cheap good esc but don't know which to go for looking around spending less then 40 or 30. Any good esc's for that price? Or any that are more cheaper?
What's up everyone🤘
I just wanted to say Happy new year from Melbourne Australia, hope everyone has a GREAT 2023😁🥳

yes sirr
Im running a 120a as it’s all I could find with the dumbo remote and upgraded springs the things a monster, a little twitchy great video.
I’m so glad you made this video. Because I’m 100% going to do the same thing with mine.😊
I just bought one for 90$
Nice😁
They are so worth it in my opinion even stock but yes with a good little 45-50a esc and a dumborc radio system they are insanely fun🤪
Good luck with the build mate!
@@rccrazyMan this little cheap bashers are soooo worth it, i bought the gantry pro version and that thing is fast and tough as hell and im definitely doing this conversion since i fried the ESC cuz i put a 3s lipo on it just being curious lol.
100% mate!
I love the JJRC platform for the price👌
And just curious, was your stock esc held down by 3 screw tabs?
Mine do not have tabs but instead held down with double side tape.
It seems the only ones that can run 3s are the ones without the tabs and no one is really sure why🤷
@@rccrazy Yes mine goes with 3 screws tabs, i didn’t know that tho it’s definitely weird 🤔
Oh and how did you fit the stock motor plugs with the new ESC? Are the same width and length? Because the ESC plugs look a little bigger
Solder new plugs onto the motor or esc.
You can also get adapters, you'll need to know the plug sizes though.
Just got the blue version yesterday....don't know if it is any difference in them, but this thing is crazy stock, so I can only imagine how smooth that one handles with those upgrades......gonna get a few more of these👍👍👍👍👍
Oh yes stock on 2s is so much fun and honestly probably more than enough for most people, they do get a bit hard to handle on 3s but I can't help myself🤭
Thanks for watching mate!
Dude you persuaded me. Im doing the same thing to mine the stock esc/receiver combo went up so why not!!!
Not sure what persuaded mean, I'm thinking it's similar to convincing😅 but yeah a good little 45-50a esc and a decent radio these do even better than stock😁

I think you will thoroughly enjoy the brushless version after driving the brushed one.
And modding is always fun😁
Thanks buddy👍
@@rccrazy Pulled out my brushed version today and it's only 3WD Looks like I might have done what uou did, lost an axle pin ? How did you fix that. I have no real rc tools or spares yet. Is there an easy fix ?
If it is the wheel pin the easiest way to fix it is buy new ones, don't think they would cost much.
I have multiple still in the box spare cars to pull parts off as I love these so much😅
But I highly recommend checking everything including the diffs, the brushed ones have plastic gears and do strip easily, that can cause loss of drive to 1 or more wheels.
Nice mate off its head love it haha. Nice one on the shocks :)
Thanks bud😅
Yeah the shocks made a massive difference👌
They are a little long though, the car can't bottom out if it needs to, lots of stress on the shocks.
Good video. Nice bash session. That one jump with 6 flips was crazy. I tried counting them in the slow mo run but lost track. I'm glad you put it in there.
Happy New Year!
Thanks heaps Tim!
Yes I had to watch it multiple times to get the correct number of flips.
It really surprised me aswell😅

I have a SU CHI YU brushless ‘sweep’ which looks like yours in the vid and needing some spare parts. My son bashed it a little hard and lost a wheel off it - couldn’t find the wheel nut or the hub pin. Have you got a link for anything that would work? Also a link for some oil filled shocks.
Thanks legend
Matt
For some reason I can not find any stock wheel nuts or pins on the spare part listing's🤔
You can just use standard 1/10 nuts and pins though.
And shocks, these should work well.

amazing bro!!!
Sorry to hear the stock esc burnt on 3s😕
Yes you will need a receiver and transmitter to run a separate/stand alone esc.
me paso igual ahora no se que hacer por que el ecu es 2 en 1 y hay que cambiar de control creo
@user-ep5og4ct9p you can replace the 2in1 with another of the same 35a jjrc ones and continue using your old controller👌
These things are the Nuts!
Absolutely insane for 1/16 definitely😆
Got the buggy version to look at soon aswell, definitely worth the cost I'd say👌
Thanks for checking it out👍
Nice vid bro but i am looking for the exact wetup to do for my car. Can you till me what did you add exactly?
Well as I said in my other reply if your 2in1 board has no tabs you can run the stock system on 3s.
But in this video I was using a proper stand alone 45a esc and dumborc radio system.
Any 45a or 50a esc will work.
Very GOOD, could you pass the link where you bought the shock absorbers? Please! or how to buy for this car ?
I highly recommend getting a set of wltoys 124019 FRONT shocks for both front and rear.
OR a full set of MJX Hyper Go shocks as they are a little shorter than the wltoys front shocks and fit this car almost perfectly👌
If you google MJX Hyper Go shocks you should find heaps available from many places.
this truggy is amazing. I'm thinking to order one ! Could you tell me please if you've ordered 4x the rear oils shocks form wltoys, 4x the front one or 2x front + 2X rear ?
Definitely worth the money these cars👌
I didn't order shocks but yes the rear shocks are wltoys and I think the fronts are from MJX.
If you can get a full set off MJX hyper go shocks they fit much better, wltoys shocks are too long and bind up and sometimes bend the driveshafts
I want to do the same setup was looking at 1500mah 120c zeee battery is that ok or should i stick with the 850 100c?
Thanks mate👍
If you mean what should you use in the differentials then I think marine grease is fine to use but I personally only use it for the diff crown and pinion gears, I only use proper diff oil inside the diffs.
This car I would probably use 30,000w diff oil front and rear.
But diff oil or grease will not make your car faster it will just change the handling characteristics depending on the thickness of the oil you use.
You want to go faster you need a larger motor pinion gear or higher volts, 3s lipo.
@@rccrazy Thank you mate👍
Could you tell me for a faster battery in addition to the 3s ratio of pinion and crown number? To put on this engine? Thanks
I believe if you turn the motor mount around 180° it allows you to install a 20t pinion gear without any modification.
If i remember correctly the motor gear is mod0.6 so try google (20t mod0.6 pinion gear 3.175mm)
You should get some results👍
Diff ratio is a little different and I have not looked into that for ANY cars
@@rccrazy Obrigado
Hello what 2s battery do u recommend just to wake it up a bit and longer run time . And also any recommendations on a fan setup ?
Hey Albert👋
So basically if you get a higher C rated 2s you should gain a bit of speed but mostly punch, at the same time increasing the capacity will give you a slight increase at the top end.
The truth is that I am about to buy it but I want to know what type of 3s battery I should buy and that it fits without a problem and can run at 50mph. greetings
i want to know as well, i’m not going to bash it buying for speed only with 3s
Yes the zeee 3s 850mah lipos fit perfectly
Hey, I'm looking at doing some upgrades
I would like to know what 3s battery you recommend without changing the motor etc and leaving everything stocks
So first thing, if you have a esc 2in1 board that is held down by 3 screws I highly recommend not running 3s at all as it will almost definitely fail.
If it has no tabs but is held down with double side tape and zip tie then you can run any 3s that fits.👍
Could you please suggest what esc to upgrade too, what one are you using exactly, cheers!
I am now using a hobbywing 10bl50a 3s esc but to run a separate esc you must also use a hobby grade radio system, you can not use the original controller or 2in1 board with a separate esc like in this video.
@@rccrazy geez sounds like a bit of work, how would I program the new radio system to communicate with the original controller

Just bought it for 900 dollar:) Got a new sub.
Thanks mate!
But 900 dollar?
What currency is that? As they are about 100 Australian dollars here.
That’s awesome!! Can you add a motor fan to it?
Yes definitely can add a fan but honestly the stock motor is very capable and didn't need a fan😃
@@rccrazy Thanks man appreciate it!! Keep up with great videos 👏🏻
Your welcome, and thank you😁
Nice vid bro gonna get this battery too, to get it 80 km👍 thank bro

But just keep in mind if your 2in1 board is the version with 3 mounting tabs it will most likely fail on 3s.
Only the tab less ones work on 3s.
Olá, irmão, tranquilo? Eu também fiz uma pequena alteração, deixei o meu jjrc Q130 com o motor original e substitui o esc de 35A por um esc de 45A reserva do meu outro carro hyper Go 16208. Ficou bom também...você poderia me dar alguma sugestão? Ótimo video💪💥
Yeah it's the quickest way to get a bit more out of the car👌
Only thing I would really suggest if you haven't already is add good oil shocks, can make a huge difference.
Isso, já encomendei todas as peças de metal e os amortecedores também 🤜🤛
Cheers man, mine's arriving from Temu tomorrow :D Seems like a fun car.
I also like to mix these small cheaper ones, as in my case, with more expensive crawlers.

Nice mate, they are very fun cars👌
Yes there are quite a few very good for the price budget cars these days and hopefully they are only going to get better and cheaper😅
Thanks for watching mate.
Hey so you can connect the headlights to a channel too right ?
I don't believe so unless you use a voltage dropper then to the receiver.
If I remember correctly this car lights are maximum 3v and a hobby grade receiver BEC is 5-6v.
Any problems running a 45A ESC on 3S? Is the 45A enough? Wisjed i could find whay wattahe the motor is. That's what I am going to put on mine. Going to use a 2200mah 50c battery and make a mount on the car for it.
45a is definitely enough for the stock motor no issue.
The stock motor is a 2847 4000kv
Hey, I’m new to rc cars. How do I know which oil shocks to get for it? There are some on Temu with the size 59/51/5 mm.
Yes I think 59mm is about right for this car, I normally just measure the stock shocks and see what I can find online.
Yeah ok great thanks. Is 30 euros a good price for them? I can’t really find shocks anywhere else.
30 euro is a little high but not over the top.
If you can be bothered looking, the stock shocks from the MJX Hyper Go fit perfectly on this car and I couldn't see them being more than 20 euro from most places, Aliexpress should have them.
I see now that I have a coupon so it’s exactly 20 euros with the coupon. Thanks again for the info.
Can you give advice on what is the best battery and shock for this car?
Most lipos are very similar so most 850mah 3s or upto 1500mah 2s should fit, I don't get long runtime on any car but for most people probably around 15 minutes.
And I use wltoys oil shocks on mine, work fine.
@@rccrazy What is the average driving time with 850mah?
Like I said personally I get around 15 minutes, if you drive a little calmer or slower in general you'll get maybe 20 minutes.
Thanks mate glad your enjoying some of my content🙂
Yes I am running diff oil on the internal gears, 30k rear 50k front.
You are very welcome and great to hear your going to try my preferred set-up, it may not be exactly what you need but its a good place to start with diff experimenting😊
Make sure to keep putting grease on the diff crown and pinion gears though, I rarely have issues with the internal diff gears it's always the crown and pinions🤦
Hey mate, great video, i wanna see you get this car to 100km, and you should make how to videos, would also be helpful.
Thanks mate👍

hi, about the shock absorber you got from the 144, i see that in the 144 they have different sizes, which one did you use: front or rear?
I think I used the rear, I would recommend using the front ones (short ones) the rears are a little too long for these cars.
If I want to upgrade the same model, what do I need to buy ?
Only esc and battery right ?
You also need a hobby grade controller and receiver.
You can not use the stock controller with a proper esc.
That was amazing! What oil cst did you put in the shoks?
Thank you!🙂
What is the average driving time with a 3h 850mah battery?
Hey, I love your videos I just bought this car and was thinking about running it on 3S out of box. I’m having trouble finding a 3S battery that will fit into the tray. Do you have any suggestions?
Thank you!
Most 650-850mah 3s lipos should fit.
I use ZEEE Premium 850mah 3s, they fit perfectly, I can't seem to find them anywhere now though🤔
Sorry about that.
@rccrazy what amount of runtime do you get with the 850mah?
Between 10-15min
@rccrazy just bought a couple off of Amazon. $30 for 2. But I'm in the US so not sure if it's different.
Can this be possible on going like 70mph or higher with the right stuff?
Sure if you really want it to.
That thing is impressive on 3S 👀😱 You need a new ramp, lol. Happy New Year!
I didn't really expect this sort of performance to be honest but I love it😆
New ramp has been built🤘
And yes have good year man👊
Hello! Can I use a Dumbo Controller with Gyro on this car? If so, can we connect on the Dumbo ESC the RC car lights? Thanks!
Not with the stock 2in1 receiver/esc board, you have to have the matching dumborc receiver to pair to the controller and also a separate or stand alone esc.
@@rccrazy Thanks, bro ^^
@@rccrazy Hello sir! My car has arrived! So, if I change the ESC to use a Dumbo RC controller, can I plug the lights to work too? And can this motor handle 3s batteries after changing the ESC? I'm a beginner! Thanks ^^
So if I remember correctly the lights will work but you will need a adapter to go from the little plug on the lights or solder on a standard 3 wire plug so it can be installed onto the hobby grade receiver.
@@rccrazy Thank you very much sir 🤝🏻
I have the same car, what pieces have you modified? Would you have the link? Thanks a lot
I only changed the ESC but I don't have a link, I can't find these ESCs anywhere.
You don't really need to change it though as the car does run on 3s stock.
@@rccrazy Ok thanks...so can I put a 3s even with original esc 35A?
Yes you can, I just found it would cut of ever now and again, not alot so I'm guessing it was just getting a little over worked and needed a 10sec rest.
I did upload another video after this one with the stock 2in1 board back in it and got like 90kph on 3s🤯😅
Awesome cars stock👌
Can’t find any 45a esc that are good I think I’m just going to put a 60a, stock motor and 3s zeee. Hopefully the stock motor doesn’t burn
What you need a esc for?
These run on 3s stock standard no problem as long as you don't change to a higher kv motor (4000kv max with the stock 2in1 board) or use a bigger pinion gear.
@@rccrazy sounds good then I’m just going to buy a 4 pack of 3s zeee and upgrade the suspension and tires thanks again!!
No problem👍
At least you'll have upgraded lipos already if you ever do decided to swap the electronics😁
Hi, friend. Tell me, what size are the nuts on the wheels?
Hi,
They are standard 1/10 wheel nuts so they are M4.
Can't the original ESC handle 3S? I saw a listing on Amazon for the same car from a different vendor claiming that it can, i just recently bought one of these during aliexpress's recent 11.11 sale and managed to get it for 66$ which even on 2s is quite a crazy price point for a 1:16 scale that does nearly 60km and with many metal parts
I've also bought some 11.1v 1100mah batteries for it as the ones i have are way too big, i haven't received the car yet but if the stock ESC can really take 3s and potentially do 80+k then that's some amazing value even at the normal price of 90-100$.
They can definitely run 3s stock and yes I got I think 81kph on 3s but with different wheels.
This is the video I believe👇

@@rccrazy crazy stuff Mine is coming tomorrow, can't wait!
Nice video btw:)
The 850mah 100 3s battery is so hard to find any other recommendations my friend?
@kevb1050 oh wow really🤔
Might have to check my spare one, got it way after the original one so maybe they change the esc the newer production runs and that's why some people can't run 3s, some have been catching fire apparently😬
All 3 of mine ran 3s stock set-up with ZERO issues.
Just got this little rc car 2s or 3s, can you suggest a good batttery for this car, i want good performance with great play time.
i am new to rc world so, i have no knowledge about the rc batteries thats why i am asking.
How do you turn it into the air? Do you use a controller or does it happen automatically?
It's physics mate, if the wheels are big and heavy enough it will create centrifugal force making the car itself flip backwards, slam on the brakes and it will do a front flip because your stopping the wheels technically reversing the force which makes the car flip forward.
That is how you control the flip, more throttle to flip and then break just enough to level the car without it flipping forward.
@@rccrazy
Ok, what is your opinion on the batteries? 20 minutes is not enough, but charging for 3 hours is a joke. Do you have a tip for batteries that fit and last longer
@KevinVonTriller I would suggest getting a proper charger and multiple batteries, a hobby grade lipo charger will charge any battery within 1 hour most of the time less.
Just stay away from the Imax B6 charger, they are the worst!
can you provide the link for the batteries used for the test
Only link I can find for these lipos, not available many places anymore.

Mate help something happened to my JJRC battery.. I bought new JJRC but it is not moving backward or forward but yes the steering works, it turns left and right but the light of the RC flashes continously which is a sign of battery mal fucntion, Now what should i do?
So sorry mate I did not get a notification for your question😬
If you haven't already you can just buy a new 2in1 board(esc and receiver box) that is the cheapest and easiest way to find out, no other way of really checking.
Good luck and again I am so sorry🙏
Oh if you tried to run 3s and that's when it stop that would be because some do not like 3s and fail straight away and won't run on 2s after that.
@@rccrazy No worries mate, i ordered new ESC and it was working mine after that
Excellent! Really glad to hear that😃
Hello, I also want to do an esc upgrade and I wanted to ask which receiver is available for the standard controller. I don't want to buy a new controller now, there are options to keep the standard controller, just get the new receiver
No it does not work like that, different brands use different protocols, the actual firmware or programming is different, not compatible with each other.
You can only use the stock 2in1 board with that controller
@@rccrazy ok, thanks
@@rccrazy great thanks for the info!
I ordered a few of these in brushed form on AliExpress
Cool man👍
With the brushed versions I would just recommend keeping an eye on the diff cups and driveshafts, I found the plastic components to be quite soft even on the 2s 2in1 combo, maybe why they limited the 2in1 to 2s🤔
@@rccrazy I thought it had metal diffs and shafts?
Not the brushed versions mate.
@@rccrazy That sucks!! the description says metal center shaft, spur gear and drive shafts

You are very welcome mate🙂
@rccrazy also another? Is all 3s 11.1V..i kno the stock is 7.4 does that matter?
@proefficientsvision6325 yes 3s is 11.1v and 2s is 7.4v.
Example
A motor rated at 30a on 7.4v should always run with a 30a or higher esc on 7.4v to ensure the esc does not fail if it ever surpasses 30a.
Bigger wheels, overgearing, over voltage can all cause these issues if your not aware of the system specs.
@proefficientsvision6325 yes 850mah is 850😅
Mah or milliamps is the capacity of the battery, how much time/current it can store.
In general a 850 to1000mah 3s will be around about the same size as a 1500mah 2s.
Nice video my friend. Can you send me links for the upgrades you did in the video? Ty
Thank you.
The only things I changed was the esc but this one is discontinued, you can use basically any 40a to 60a esc on the market as long as they fit under the shell.
The shocks(wltoys shocks) available everywhere.
And the radio system(Dumborc X6FG radio) available everywhere.

I wanted to ask some questions :1. is that car waterproof?
@@rccrazy thank you for your help 🙏🙏
The water fried my radio control board. It worked for a while but it started to stop randomly. I would stay away from water when possible.
Great advice in my opinion, I don't like running my cars in water even if they claim 100% waterproof, you just never know what could happen when you mix water and electronics.

How do I correctly charge lipo batteries?(like is overnight fine?)(can I charge it fully and js use it when u use it again?
So no and no basically.
Do not leave a lipo unsupervised while charging, don't go out or go to sleep when charging lipos!
And no you can not leave them fully charged or discharged for more than a few days as it can permanently damage cells and can become dangerous.
ALWAYS storage charge lipos if they are not going to be used for a while.
@@rccrazy wdym by "storage charge lipos"?
@@rccrazy Ok, thank you so much for your help! I'll make sure to take care of it!

Measure your shocks then google THAT length plus "oil filled shocks" and you should find some that will fit.
@@rccrazy Thanks!!!
Your welcome, sorry I couldn't help more.
Do you think that motor will hold 60a esc 3s or not? Or 45a is enought

If I made a mistake please reply me I still have the possibility to return them
@@rccrazy Also, I don't even know if a servo was necessary? I thought the servo would allow it to rotate without difficulty in the face of obstacles.
Oh mate I think you'll have to return it all🫤
These cars use 28mm motors like a 2840 or 2847 like stock, 36mm motors won't fit without modifying the mount, the other thing is 3500kv is slower than the stock 4000kv motor.
The 2in1 board IS a 35a esc and receiver combo so if you are your actually trying to plug a esc into another esc😬
The stock 2in1 board has to be removed and then replaced with a separate esc and receiver aswell as the controller for the new receiver.
@@rccrazy yes i know anf i fixed it. And my rc car drive backwarts instead of straight a head
@@rccrazy with the new esc
Throttle reverse switch on the controller.
OR
If it's acting normally (normal throttle, brake and reverse) but the wheels are just spinning in the wrong direction simply swap any 2 of the 3 motor wires around and that will reverse the motor direction.
@@rccrazy I have another question, can you buy a 60a esc?
Would the mjx ESC be compatible for a 3s upgrade on this model?
The stock esc 2in1 board can run on 3s without issue, still got 90kph+ with the stock system🤘
@@rccrazy Serious? Thought I needed upgrade to run in 3s
Well I did too originally because when I tried 3s the first time it cut out multiple times like a over voltage or over amp protection.
When I tried again it was fine and it's been fine ever since🤷😅
Many people run these on 3s so I think you should be fine👍
@@rccrazy 😆😆😆
@@rccrazy Ok, In the future I will be buying the jjrc q130
Uncle, when uncle changes riceiver, uncle changes fish, no control
or not
I don't understand, fish?🤔
I ONLY changed the esc and receiver in the car.
And why you keep calling me uncle?
Please don't, I don't like it!
My name is Saul
is the servo changeable
If you mean can it be replaced then yes👍
please write me what suspension you put in your model ?
Sorry mate had no internet fir a few days.
I am using original wltoys 144001 shocks and springs
For Christmas
Not sure if it is JJRC. It's listed as a few different manufacturers on AliExpress SCY-16101 and ZWN
This particular brand is JJRC or Su Chi Yu but yes there are many clones or copies of many RCs these days, companies can't design there own RCs so they use what already exists and just put there own name on it.
Its kind of sad in my opinion😕
Where can I buy those parts
Sorry mate I have been looking for the link for the esc but I can't find it anywhere.
Not sure what other parts you mean?
How do you put the new esc on the rc?
If you mean how to plug in the esc then you will need a new controller and receiver as the 2in1 board is the stock esc and receiver, you can not use the stock controller with separate escs
How much would all that be to get? Currently waiting on a similar rc i got form temu and wanting to do this since it looks really fun.
Also what controller model are you using I think I'm seeing multiple types
So in Australia it would cost around $100 Australian dollars, not sure where you live.
And to your esc question, you can use any 45a to 50a esc, most should be 3s capable so if it fits under the shell it will work fine.
@rccrazy alright sounds pretty simple I think I understand now. Only thing is I'm trying to find a cheap good esc but don't know which to go for looking around spending less then 40 or 30. Any good esc's for that price? Or any that are more cheaper?
