Amazing video showing how crucial it is to have a thermal camera as part of your toolkit. Watched earlier videos where you had to spend a long time and many boots to use the ‘finger test method’ of trying to find the heated short. Thanks so much for the video and your detail you put into them.
Two videos on a 10day distance. Man you are on fire. This is the Jason we all want. Good job dude!
Excellent video! Just purchased a Flir cam waiting for delivery, after watching this cant wait to try it out! Merry Christmas to you and thanks for the upload!
@@za-se4jv yes and it’s amazing!
Thank you for explaining your soldering settings and techniques and what you look for and how you do exactly what you are doing on camera I’m a new subscriber for that reason alone . Fantastic video keep up the good work
Excellent video. Thanks Jason 👍
Hi.
I bought the camera and it's a nice expense, on tv, pc, iphone, etc. Etc., Found at a good price and works perfectly, helps a lot.
associated with a great teacher like you, with lots of tips
useful, thanks for opening my mind .thanks 1000
So enjoyed the video, thanks for posting.
Thanks for Sharing, Happy New Year.
Hi Jason.
I use the "CAT S60" for troubleshooting it has an build in FLIR camera.
Regards from Germany.
We love you here as well.
Great the video Jason 😀
Highly interesting, I just bought a one pro android from the flir site today. I work on much bigger boards from industrial machinery. Thanks.
Great work as always! Greetings from Montenegro!
I have a Flir One Pro too but I'd say your chestnut thingy repair was way cooler! Nice job!
Nice job Jason
I have been watching your videos for quit some time now, my 10 year ol son is fascinated on how you do this work, however today while watching when you placed that Nickel on the board and gave some perspective on juts how small the items you work with he was just amazed as well as I was........just fascinating watching you work....
Thank you for thermal camera &
60FPS
Love your channel thanks
what a brilliant video? I’m sure you make a lot of people very happy. My in-laws had a big house fire in 2014 and lost all their old photos from nearly 50 years of marriage. What you do is like someone walking up to them and saying here are all the baby photos of my wife and her brother.
I don’t even do any repairs and I want a thermal camera
You are amazing sir i respect way of solving problems
How much do you charge for a dead phone repair iphone x like this , like you desolder the layers replace the cap and solder layers back how much do you charge?
Thanks, I have the same thermal camera with over 6 months, I didn't know half the setting on it, now it's a total different camera to use, no more double image that don't line up,
Yeah he should do video just on that alone that's the only place flir drop the ball.
I also wonder why you need to completely move the parallax correction slider on the left. I also noticed that is not enough to completely allying the two images... very weird. What should be the purpose of this and its useless preset. In which circumstances do you think that the cursor should be moved to the right side?
@@ictrepairs6963 The bug I get is that the app can not access the Flir I have to go into USB connectivity every time and select connect to device then after a black screen the flir app starts with the flir camera, this effects android users.
Mr lunithy try switch on the flir before connecting it to the smartphone and see if recognized it.
@@ictrepairs6963 Yeah I tried that thx when I do a search it's been a problem for some people for a long time I think it's fixed for later versions beyond android 8 but my Sony Z5 p is stuck at 7 because Sony.
jason bro u did the good job.
Nice job 👍
Thanks for the video the short consumes 150-160MA my question is ( could you tell me were you successful finding small shorts between 20MA - 100 MA with FLIR one pro I want to buy one but I do not like to waste money you know those kind of shorts cause the battery drain very fast !!! but undetectable I would appreciate your reply. Thanks
The FLIR One Pro LT can be also used for this purpose or there is a big difference compare to the NON LT version?
Jason, can you please provide a link for the C mount (and adapter) that you use for your Microscope Camera. I just bought the camera and would like to get the C mount that you use. Also bought the Flir, using your links of course.
Well... In this job... Sometimes... We don't get all the answers, wen happens surprises, i enjoy the vídeo, that is a hell of a tool... A hand on the weel.. Shame for the price here.. But... A wish you a successfull, and full of happiness 2019 full of repairs, and keep making repair videos...cheers
G'day just curious are the various blue baskets ESD safe or do you just like blue? I don't see any other valid ESD precautions but thought they may be. Nice tidy lab bench :-)
Excellent video. Jason can you help me with my work table? I need the height from the floor to the working area. Thanks ahead
you're a big, good guy
I got the Flir multimeter with built camera, its the nuts
Hi I recorded some v important audio (calls and conversations) on my android phone and voice recorder. I MOVED (not copied) them all to my laptop so they were gone from the devices. Some time after, my laptop was hacked with ransomware (encrypted) and i have lost it all. Can i recover the files from the phone and voice recorder even though they were 'moved' off? If so, is there top rate software to use (even if I have recorded over the space?
You pay your money and don't expect a watermark as if you are using shareware, totally agree. On the repair, another excellent repair/recover.
Awesome job again :) And that ASMR part at end of the repair :D you should try what nobody have done before: ASMR iPhone repair video :D
That thermal camera is awesome, it make things so much easier 👍 one tip with the thermal camera: Get a extented cable for it and attach it to side of the microscope with flexible tripod for examble -
so you can look the thermal image from iPhone/iPad at longer distance and the iPhone/iPad is not on your way ;)
@7:31 not trying to sell this camera? Hell no. We know that Jason :)
Amazing tool you bought there and Happy New Year.
Great video. Now that you have the FLIR, you will be asking yourself how you did without it! Let the customer know 'good things come to those who wait.'!
Hi I hope you see my message I'm planning on buying the Flir one Gen 3 I would like to know if I can get the same results with that model.?
Jason something for you to try and see if it works for you. I was practicing on a dead board and soaked the goo on the board in alcohol for a few minutes then ran an old medium bristle toothbrush soaked in alcohol over it and it fell right off and caused no visible damage to anything else. I may have just been lucky and it may be a dangerous practice I am not sure. Tell me your thoughts please if you have time as I would like to know any dangers there could be to the board. Thanks mate
Is the current one better by any chance? Meaning refresh rate, range, watermark? By the way, what is the range? I'd like to use it while camping and to see if there is wildlife or people sneaking about my campsite while in complete darkness.
Yay, you are using thermal camera which i recommended you year ago ;D (ya, you most probably know flir from somewhere else...)
I have a iPhone 6 Plus how much would it cost to change out a TriStar ?
Could not be more perfect, I believe you have your FLIR camera for around one year now. I'm looking and trying to decide about it, but I see so many reviews about battery issues with the FLIR ONE PRO. I'm new here on your channel and I'm pretty sure you are one of the most qualify persons to give us feedback about the FLIR ONE PRO... Are you happy with it, still working perfectly, did you get many updates on the app? Please let me know? Great videos you have! I'm just sharing with my friends now! : -)
hi jayson. can you please give me full details of this camera. or where i can buy this.
i need this to my little cellphone repair shop
hey Bro jason, which hot air gun are u using?is that quck 816dw?
Excelente video. No hablo Inglés pero con el video aprendo muchísimo 👍
Hi, have you had any issues with the FLIR One Pro battery? I've just ordered one from Amazon and there seems to be some negative feedback.
Great video bro,you help people, genuine,u keep it real n easy to watch even when the videos are slightly long,it's what u can absorb in your mind what matters, thanks
extremely pro.
can you use a thermal camera to detect most shorts,i'm thinking of investing in 1.
i tinker about with repairing electrical items but ohms laws, amperage, reading and measuring goes over my head,i just cant grasp the concept of understanding electrical measurements, although i do try.
i know if i dont know what i'm doing i should'nt even be doing it,but i love tinkering about and would love to understand and be as good as you lol (as if) but i'm learning a lot from watching your video's as well as others.
Great result and an interesting thermal camera.
You mentioned the ticket program you have. What is the name? Is it cloud based or an offline version?
I liked the word you used: spick and span. In the netherlands, is a thing you would typically say when you done something correctly or cleaned of properly
Spic en span is ook een schoonmaakmiddel in Amerika
Bro iwant thermal camera
How to I get ???
And no
Idea for price
This product!!!!!!!!
Can u help me?????
Wait, this board came in "ten YEARS ago ..." ??!! I guess you aren't exaggerating when you say you're a bit backlogged. O_O
Did you calibrate your Quick hot air station?
If i had as many repairs as you do id build a database that lets me input parameters like what the voltage and current was drawn from that device and then when ive fixed the problem id write it in the database and when you build the database up maybe you could input info like it took 0.120ma and that can bring up possible repairs might work if you have as much repair as you do
Joshua Hutton he would need a reputable stable voltage source in order to do this...
4:17 Point with a soldering iron?
Van you tell me app name you used for thermal thanks
Get lens for a Co2 laser and 3d print a lens mount for the Seek. So you can get closer and see more. Go from 155mm down to 25mm you can see much more detail when you get close perfect for iPhone boards.
Sir my i phone 6 anble to activet problem how to soliton ??
STS Team all the way
hi ! thanks gor videos !!! do you use the oscilloscope?
I have an older version of the Flir one camera. The last time I plugged it into my phone it killed my phone (not a problem for you as you would just fix the phone) so I ended up getting a new phone. I want to buy another heat camera, but my next one will be a stand alone one that won't require me to use my phone.
I recently bought the Seek CompactPro. The user interface is a bit clunky and confusing on it though. I use it with a 20mm ZnSe CO2 laser focal lens with focal length of 50mm. I was surprised how well the lens made seeing the individual components. I'm going to order a 100mm one to test. You can find the lenses for $20-30 or so.
How did you made the lens holder? I saw somebody can print it from 3D printer. But I don't have the 3D printer.
Great Video On iPhone Repair. It's nice to see a good POV to further my knowledge
Cool dude...
Hi! just a question..at 15:00 you start picking up the IC, at 25:00 you put the IC back in another spot of the board that's not the first one. The question is: those spots are interchangeable to let the board work and pick up data?? thx for the video and keep up!
He may have rotated the board, but he actually removed one ic that was shorted, then installed Walnut ic that the previous shop had removed because it is needed to boot.
Do you ever make 2 nd back but enabling encryption of data so that passwords on the device are also snagged in addition to data?
Yes. If they are interested in more than just photos, I almost always encrypt the backup.
so cool
You can calibrate the quick by holding the ch1 and ch3 together
Nice one Jason!! i use seek thermal camera but i use a Laser Lens to make the image clear! Thanks
Edgar Yo Reparo/ Your Gadget Clinic How is the seek thermal camera?
Fahmi Alafari for the price you Pat, it’s ok. But is better when you put the cutting laser lens. The image is better and clear
Edgar Yo Reparo/ Your Gadget Clinic I don’t know which one is the best
Union Repair thermal camera
Or
Seek pro
Or
Flir one pro
?
Any suggestion dude?
Fahmi Alafari enough with the seek of the Flir like Jason camera.
Hii jason i am your huge fan
Tq u sir
Hi Jason, just a question, what do you do once once the itunes backup is done ? Do you just send it like this to your customer on a dvd or a flash drive ? What can be done with this backup, do your customer has to restore it on a working phone or can it be used with a software to save the photos or videos ? Thanks a lot.
If they are wanting to restore the backup to a new phone, we send them a full iTunes backup. If they are primarily after photos or other specific things, we export the backup as an easily browsable file structure. That makes it so they can browse what was on the phone using a computer without needing special software or a phone to restore it to.
Thanks for your answer :) how an itunes backup can be exported to be directly browsable ? Is it an itunes feature ?
hi
thanks
can you answer for some qestions please?
1. so do you recomanded this flir over seek ?
2. did the flir wirth the pro? or just the lt model?
3. seek pro or compact?
4. did you recomanded macro lens for all the model above ?
:)
thanks
yossi
I have heard that the Seek with macro lens works good but I have not tried it. I tried the Seek without the macro lens but did not have good results and sent it back the same day it arrived. I think I was using it wrong though.
I have had good success with this Flir One Pro. I didn't try the Flir One as it was less resolution than the Pro.
STS Telecom thanks
And macro lens for flir one pro?
Awesome job! how much time did you spend?
How the cost of thermal camera??
New toys=increased efficiency= $$$$$$$$$$ and more fun
I have an iPhone X that’s water damaged. How much would u charge fixing the motherboard if I send it to you?
Look the description, the first link is for you, asking costs nothing but this way it is ways easier for him.
Hi, I have an iphone 7 that fell in the Sea and was in for probably 3 or 4 hours. The screen was damaged as a result. I have since changed the screen and speaker but the screen isnt working. It appears to be on because when you touch the button you get the little clicky vibration, any thoughts ?
Check backlight circuit for fault, could be shorted diode or blown filter
Check for damage on the display connector, clean the motherboard first off any corrosion
Also check chestnut ic circuit are I think
Sir I need your help in my I phone
I wanna learn about I phone repairing
Hello Jason!
Hello
Did you say tem years ago?
Bonsoir Jason 🇫🇷
“Dirty little camera” 😂
he has been looking at girls using that camera. Lol
Sir which mobile are you using
Model number plz
Or link
were you noticed that your camera is visualized the board over your hand ?
I have one of those flir 1p it is used for PC and car repair but I had allot of people say it was shit.
This video should be renamed how to use your flir 1 pro properly thank you.
Why am I so unlucky? Bought two flir one pro devices with MPN 435-0006-01. Both are not good as yours. If I put the camera close to the PCB, both cameras cannot get aligned images. as perfectly as yours. I have to move further to align the images. Then the PCB become smaller on the screen. The last camera is even worst. It cannot focus if I want the PCB is big enough on the screen. The picture is blurred. Looks like to me, not all flir one pro work the same. I noticed flir one pro has two different MPN. One is 435-0006-01, the other one is 435-0006-02. Are they the same? My first flir one pro has 435-0006-01 on the device 435-0006-02 on the box. So confused.
I've got the same issue. I don't get the MSX image correctly aligned. Moving further with the camera doesn't help. My MPN on my box is 435-0006-03, the device has the Number 435-0006-01. Im also very confused..... Does anybody have a clue ?
i do have a method for getting data out of an iphone without the image, but with the touch. i used it with my 5s, i can share it with you if it's not well known already.
god you're good :)
19:17 totally relatable
Hi Jason I think you should look in too thos cat s60 foons
Did you calibrate the quick? 300-350 does pretty good for me
I’m pretty sure that’s the issue. I did not calibrate it. One of the first things I’m gonna do when I get back.
STS Telecom once you do it you will be all set 👍
I am from bangladesh,Thanks
Hello Jason. hmm this thermal camera looks good but anyway i dont trust them. i trust my lips or my finger more . :D Happy to see you again bro. KEEP UP
😂 lol
You know it's weird when something is measured three times without anything changing between tries. Been there.
i have a flir one and a seek compact pro with the macro lens........Seek compact pro with macro lens all day every day... has less of that reflective metal thing and zooms in on pretty much the capacitor thats hot!
does have temperature range adjustment....
@@MrSkar87 yes it does ....wish i could show a pic in the comments....also has auto coldest and hottest spot...does it by it self.
i mounted it on a lil adjustable microscope base to fine tune image and focus and use my ipad for large view able image
I don’t think I spent enough time with the Seek before I sent it back. I think the main problem with that camera was me not knowing how to adjust it.
@@ststeleyou Should of given it a little longer and also that macro lens is a must...but the flir one pro works well also the way you explained it with the range adjustment to reduce noise and show the hottest spot...i learned something new......thanks for your videos man..blessings
Abbreviation?
I got super happy when I saw the sticky notes only to realize it wasn't my phone lmao, how much did that flir cam cost?
Oh man, I wish it was your phone. I paid $340 for this camera. The next day they went down to $310.
What is name your solding past
Look description
