- Welcome, dear viewers, to a fascinating journey into the historical tapestry of biblical heritage. Today, we embark on a quest to uncover the enigma that surrounds the descendants of Esau, Jacob's brother, and their present whereabouts. Join us as we delve into the pages of the Old Testament, tracing the footsteps of these ancient peoples and discovering the threads that connect them to the present day. It's a story that transcends time, offering insights into the rich tapestry of human history and familial connections. Many people reading the Old Testament encounter various groups mentioned in the narrative. The Old Testament identifies and describes several peoples, asserting that their ancestors were even relatives and brothers of the Israelites. One of these peoples, who shared fraternal ties with the Israelites, were also known as the people of Edom. They consisted of various tribes composed of descendants of Esau's sons and grandsons, giving rise to a distinct community in relation to the Israelites.
Responding to the requests of many subscribers to our channel, in this video, I will discuss the current whereabouts of the descendants of Esau. With that said, enjoy another video from our channel: Where are the descendants of Esau today? Those familiar with the figure of Esau in the Old Testament often associate him with the biblical description portraying him as a very hairy, bearded, and red-haired man. However, it is common for people to think of him as red-haired, although the Bible does not confirm this characteristic. In reality, when examining the biblical terms in Hebrew and Aramaic, we discover that the reference is not to the color of his hair but rather to the tone of his skin.
Esau was born ruddy, reddish, but biblical translations depict him as red-haired, leading to variations in interpretation. An interesting curiosity is that, in comparison, Jacob was born with less hair and a less reddish skin tone. When Rebecca was pregnant, something fascinating happened. She noticed that her pregnancy did not follow the usual course. Unique sensations emanated from her belly, something that did not even compare to the experience of a woman pregnant with twins. Faced with this, she sought divine guidance, directly questioning God about the enigma that surrounded her. It was something so extraordinary that it required divine clarification.

Romans 9:13
[13]As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.

Great pictures!
Abraham and Sarah were born as Arameans, but they separated from their family and became known as Hebrews. They took up the language of Canaan, and that became known as the Hebrew language.
Esau grew up with Canaanite, not Aramaic.
Ancient Jewish tradition holds that Rome was founded by a grandson of Esau, Magdiel. So for the Rabbi, Rome was Esau.
When the Babylonians removed the Jews from Judea 2500 years ago, Edomites, the children of Esau, settled Judea up to Bethlehem. That population was called Idumea. Edumea was conquered by a Jewish king about 2200 years ago, and he told them to either convert to Judaism, or leave the land. The Idumeans converted to Judaism. The infamous King Herod was from among the Judaized Idumeans. Herod behaved like his forefather, Esau.
The Idumans never left Judaism, and assimilated among the rest of the Jews and were forgotten.
I think you would find as many children of Esau in Brooklyn, as in Jordan.
Not accurate, the hebrews are the descendants of Jacob and the descendants of Esaü habe been exterminated by God.
Thanks good information should be kept alive to show God is not a respector of men we choose religion He desires faith
And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God had respect unto them.

The descendants of Esau are those full of bitter, the sexually immoral and the unholy.
See to it that no one fails to obtain the grace of God; that no “root of bitterness” springs up and causes trouble, and by it many become defiled; that no one is sexually immoral or unholy like Esau, who sold his birthright for a single meal. (Hebrews 12:15-16 NLT)
Esau is the so called white man. Evil
They are the caucazoids...Edom is esau....
If you would read the Bible you would know the Edomites are not European Caucasians.
Deuteronomy 23:7 -
Thou shalt not abhor an Edomite; for he is thy brother: thou shalt not abhor an Egyptian; because thou wast a stranger in his land.
Any Edomite unto the 3rd. Generation could become part of Israel by Gods commandment.
Deuteronomy 23:7 -
Thou shalt not abhor an Edomite; for he is thy brother: thou shalt not abhor an Egyptian; because thou wast a stranger in his land.
Any Edomite unto the 3rd. Generation could become part of Israel by Gods commandment.( Deut. 23:8).
Because they were close relatives, the Israelites were forbidden to hate the Edomites (Deuteronomy 23:7). However, the Edomites regularly attacked Israel, and many wars were fought as a result. King Saul fought against the Edomites, and King David subjugated them, establishing military garrisons in Edom. With control over Edomite territory, Israel had access to the port of Ezion-Geber on the Red Sea, from which King Solomon sent out many expeditions. After the reign of Solomon, the Edomites revolted and had some freedom until they were subdued by the Assyrians under Tiglath-pileser.
During the Maccabean wars ( 167-160 BC) the Edomites were subjugated by the Jews and forced to convert to Judaism. Through it all, the Edomites maintained much of their old hatred for the Jews. When Greek became the common language, the Edomites were called Idumaeans. With the rise of the Roman Empire, an Idumaean whose father had converted to Judaism was named king of Judea. That Idumaean is known in history as King Herod the Great, the tyrant who ordered a massacre in Bethlehem in an attempt to kill the Christ child (Matthew 2:16-18).
After Herod’s death, the Idumaean people slowly disappeared from history as they were absorbed into Judea and Jewish culture. God had foretold the destruction of the Edomites in Ezekiel 35, saying, “As you rejoiced over the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolate, so I will deal with you; you shall be desolate, Mount Seir, and all Edom, all of it. Then they will know that I am the Lord” (Ezekiel 35:15). Despite Edom’s constant efforts to rule over the Jews, God’s prophecy to Rebekah was fulfilled: the older child served the younger, and Israel proved stronger than Edom.
