- Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob are important figures in the Bible. They are known as the patriarchs because they were the fathers of the Jewish people.
Abraham in the Bible was the first. God chose him and made a special promise, called a covenant. God promised to give Abraham many descendants and a land of their own. Abraham and his wife Sarah had a son named Isaac when they were very old.
One day, God tested Abraham's faith by asking him to do something very difficult. He told Abraham to take Isaac to a mountain and offer him as a sacrifice. This was a test of Abraham's trust in God.
Abraham obeyed and went to the mountain. There Abraham sacrifices Isaac. But just as he was about to sacrifice his son, God stopped him and provided a ram for the sacrifice instead. God was pleased with Abraham's willingness to obey.

Isaac grew up and had two sons, Esau and Jacob. Jacob was known for being clever, and he tricked his brother Esau to get a special blessing from their father.
Jacob later had twelve sons, and they became the fathers of the twelve tribes of Israel. Jacob's name was changed to Israel by God, and his descendants, known as the Israelites, became a great nation.
This story is about family, faith, and the beginning of the Jewish people. It reminds us of the special promises that God makes to those who trust in Him.

So Abraham committed adultery, attempted homicide on his second son Isaac and got rid of his first son Ishmael and mistress. Isaac then had two kids but also favorited one of them, Jacob, who later change his name to Israel. Then Jacob and only his descendants are the only "chosen people by God"..... I can't believe they teach you this in school, no wonder there is a religious and political war in holy land that has lasted centuries. I believe there is a creator but none of these lies, superiority and arrogance instilled in us.
Remember part of God’s covenant to Abraham said that “through your offspring all the nations of the earth will be blessed”. This is foreshadowing Jesus Christ, who is the elect and chosen one. Through the incarnation of Christ and the baptism of humanity in the redeeming blood of the Messiah, all peoples of the Earth have been chosen through Christ. Just like God favored Jacob over Esau, he favors Christ over Adam. God favors the resurrected self, who is born of God, over the self who was descended from Adam and crucified with Christ.
This is also a foreshadow of what Yahushua would do for us as after that no more sacrifices are needed. It is those that followed ba'al that really sacrificed their young in the furnace. Awaken and know that Yahuah never allowed sacrifice of children and now no longer requires any sacrifice at all. But, to keep a relationship with him.
