It depends, I would probably prefer the black and white version more than the full white version. I don’t see asus making a full white motherboard because the manufacturing process for the PCB is completely different.
Nice review and good video! I am still sad that this doesn't have a post/error code LEDs, it would help so much when not booting correctly. **just one detail: careful with your camera autofocus(?), it can be distracting.
Thanks for the feedback! I caught that during editing. My next reviews have solved this issue and the camera is now on manual focus. And btw, this motherboard does have debug' led's right above the 24pin atx power connector.
Mine came with an out of the box ryzen 5000 series ready badge so I don’t have to flashback the bios but if yours doesn’t for any reason there is a bios flashback button on the back of the motherboard .
Worked right out of the box with my Ryzen 5 5600 non x. The newest BIOS for this board is just an update for the 5800x3D so it comes with the newest BIOS for all other 5000 series CPUs out of the box...
Does the A model only come in white ? Only asking because Amazon has it with a black color but when looking at the Amazon customer reviews they are all white .
That is true. I can see how that can be a deal breaker for you. Luckily, you can buy a relatively cheap usb c to pcie adapter. You simply plug your usb c front panel connector into the adapter and slot it into an existing pcie slot on your motherboard. I need some help with regard to ram support for this Mobo as I am planning to buy this. I have ADATA XPG SPECTRIX D60G SERIES 16GB (8GBX2) DDR4 3600MHZ RGB Memory AX4U36008G18A-DT60 already with me paired with Amd Ryzen 5 5600x. But this particular Ram model Number was not provided in the supported list for this motherboard in official Asus site. So I am confused whether to go for this motherboard since I am not sure if its gonna support the Ram I have with me.
Any RAM that is not specified on the qvl list might work but last time I ran into this issue the ram wouldnt work and it would cause instability. I would either use a different motherboard or just use different ram.
Yes it is, mine has a 5000 series sticker badge on it. If yours doesn't for whatever reason then you can flash the bios using the built in bios flash button.
After doing some further research. I found out that this motherboard is good enough for a 5900x and even a 5950x but only on stock speeds or a very slight overclock. Hope this helped!
how many 3.5 HDD can i add if i have an M.2 installed on the Rog Strix B550-A ? currently i have an M.2 and (1) 3.5 HDD but for some reason cant add a 2nd 3.5 HDD, please anyone knows how to solve this issue ? i have a NZXT Kraken Z73 360mm liquid cooler AIO , with 3 QL 120 RGB corsair fan kit (instead of the OEM fans that came with the kraken) an AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, RTX 2080ti and 64gb ram and a Seasonic Focus GX-850 PSU (850 watts)
Make sure the M.2 is in the top slot and the HDD is in the right sata ports. Some sata ports get disabled when you install an M.2, refer to the manual to find out what’s wrong.

Hey man I just bought this motherboard. It says that ram speed that supports this MB is 2666mhz is that mean I need to buy a ram that 2666mhz? I already bought some and it’s 3600
This motherboard supports ram up to 5100mhz. If the bios says that your ram is running at 2666mhz, you can set an xmp setting to make the ram run at its proper speed.
This motherboard sucks,. Asus really let down myself and a lot of people with this board. Intel Nic that drops connection randomly without reasons,. audio issues with onboard and if you go to the support website for updated drivers,. the intel nic drivers on the support site get worse than the windows drivers installed via windows when first installing windows 10 or 11. The same thing happens on their glorious support website for the sound drivers,. if you download and install the sound drivers from the support website you will reboot to a pc that now doesn't have any sound at all coming from anything, but it will show realtek audio drivers are installed. But funny thing is when windows did have sound working it was calling the device high definition audio device. If you want to plan on getting the updated drivers working plan on spending at least a couple hours reading countless forum posts on websites that are not Asus because for some reason their forums have no valuable information that will help resolve the no sound or the lan issues. This board being almost $180 right now i've had a more stable system with a $60 board. I would go with a Gigabyte motherboard in the future. What really sucks is there are some reviews that make this look amazing, I mean the aesthetics of this board look high end, but the parts and the support Asus is now offering is subpar at best. Will never buy another Asus product. Who provides a support site and files that actually do worse than the problem? Asus!!!
I thought about both but I chose this one because it was a better bang for the buck for my next build . X570 only offers a few more features such as having pcie 4.0 lanes coming off from the chipset and CPU. There are other features but this one is the most important. Yet, most pc builds don’t need to utilize the features x570 provides.

It is completely safe to use. The pcie 4.0 drive is connected straight to the cpu and the second nvme slot is wired up to the chipset.

This motherboard versus the B550 Tomahawk which is better? When considering reliability and quality as the most important factors.
