All the advertising for this board makes it look like the logos and writing are RGB, but they arent....this is a good board but I think the advertising is misleading.
Very most if there Strix white series are RGB don’t know why this one isn’t, only the X570 but it’s close to $300

I have been trying for weeks how to make rgb work until this video 😩
Got this board today and also dissappointed with lack of RGB on logo. Its barely visible in a case with white on white.
The B550-F which is supposed to be the same board in black does have RGB. Weird.
Ah well got enough RGB disco on the other parts which reflect nicely on these whites. So my FPS will still be fine.

at first I was sad that the ROG logo wasn't RGB, but with RGB exhaust fans installed, they shine white (or colour) onto the reflective sticker and WOW it looks so clean

Noise cancelation is pretty good, but the audio quality was better without it, besides that everything about this MOBO is great! I think I found the white Mobo I was looking for to complete my build
Terrible for me. BIOS crashes, clunky mouse controls, doubled settings in different locations.
Newest BIOS didn‘t help.
How is Asus recognized as THE brand for motherboards when my old 70€ MSI board worked better
@@adarsh1864 I mean, you can use it and your PC will work fine, it just wasn’t right for me because I payed a lot and got something that was annoying to use. Before buying a new motherboard, make sure it‘s actually your old one that is the problem and not something else. I would go with a Gigabyte or MSI board, whatever is cheaper. Just look for VRM heatsinks on the product pictures, if it has that you will be fine, a high end board isn‘t necessary for a 5600X especially now that AM4 is EoL
@@adarsh1864 I didn‘t have any issues with the internet connection, however I was using a USB Wifi adapter. If the Asus board isn‘t significantly cheaper, if at all, just get something different and you should be fine. I don‘t think newer MSI boards would have that Ethernet issue anymore, they must‘ve learned from it

Any issues with memory, USBs or ethernet connection? It seems many B550 boards are having issues with at least one of those when paired with a ryzen 5000 cpu... It's getting really hard to choose one
@@hugojcaires yea had some minor issues meanwhile. USB loading seems to work with less power than it should. Loading phones etc takes long. And a major issue with RAM occured. OCed 3200 to 3400 and a couple weeks later the pc wouldnt start. Had to switch ram modules then
@@PowaBaua thanks. Good thing about Asus is the frequency they release bios updates, but still, usb issues are unacceptable. I was thinking of getting this board and a pair of 3600mhz 8gb crucial sticks, guess I wouldn't even be able to run them at stock
Hey, thanks for this video and the brown and white build! I'm upgrading my motherboard to this, and already have pretty much exactly the same other components with the exception being a RTX 2060 and only 16gb Ram.

been using this motherboard for a year, works great with no issues, with ryzen 7 3700x running 4.4ghz with just upgrade gpu card last month to strix rtx 3070 ti, its been running great doing all of my things.. great review bro!

it's funny how most of the comments here are stating that this is not worth it cause it doesn't have RGB lighting's haha it only proves that Gamers, PC builders and enthusiast nowadays are more focus on Aesthetics than the Performance i remember the days back then when the only components that have light illumination is our peripherals haha!!!

This it's so hard to find a case without random RGB or a window, like why tf do I need a window why not have mesh there instead and increase my termals/air flow??? The fact that the best airflow pc case on Gamers Nexus's tests is from like 10 years ago is a testament to how stupid this shit has gotten.

@@itsbvg I decided to adapot RX 6650XT, the price is lower than 3060Ti quite a lot in my country and the performance not too far behind. The AMD ecosystem works really great.

I’ve heard that this board and other boards like it that have the 2.5gbps Ethernet port, have a lot of problems with it. Is it still worth the buy?

I believe the main difference is -F has WiFi and -A does not (you’d need to buy a separate pci card for that

@@Bolling0 I already got it, I got the ryzen 5 5600x and I did flash the bios cus there was a post saying the older versions had issues with reading temps or something along those lines so I updated. Anyways it's all good now

@@dethtour works extremely fine, just a heads up CPU virtualization is not enabled so if you want to run a virtual machine u will need to enable it inside the bios :D

I'm running it with the 5600x and no issues. You do have to update the BIOS previous to installing the CPU tho. It might not be needed if the board you got already has the updated BIOS, but the only way to know that for sure is building the PC and turning it on. So i think its easier to just flash the latest BIOS via USB bios flashback, works fine.

It’s the same board as the b550 f gaming, just white.
It looks like the A model doesn’t have the Logo RGB but the F model does come with the Logo in RGB. (Mine is the F model and the RGB looks good)
The f model also has one m.2 pcie 4.0 one 3.0. A model just has two 3.0 slots

I'm trying to decide between this and the prime x570 pro. More 4.0 but worse lan and different audio on 570. 570 has type c for front. Not sure what's most important
I have recently done a build with this motherboard but i cannot connect to the internet via ethernet cable because my network drivers are not up to date, i cant update them because i cant connect to the internet. Anyone know how to fix this?
Use your phone as a wifi tether I do that and it downloads all the drivers I need to use wireless

It has room for 2 m.2 SSDs. Your motherboard doesn't need space for a hard drive. Your case does.

yes its build for ryzen, it only works with the 3000 and 5000 series cpus
I went for the asus tuf B550 plus wifi because at least I get wifi Bluetooth and a bit of rgb lighting. This was on my list but it not having actual rgb threw me off 😒

@@cramcramcram Go for it bro, Though i will give you one advice that you should strictly follow, update bios on first boot. Don't let it boot in to windows. First update bios and then inistall OS

B550 chipset runs only at 3.0.. while cpu handles the first pcieX16 and m.2 and will run at 4.0, given if the slotted peripherals do supports 4.0..
if i install the NVM can i put that metal cooler above it or am i doomed to watch a blue NVM on a black white motherbord :D also, how do those colors on the mainboard look like when put into a case? Ive already bought this MB just waiting for 2 more pieces to finally put everything together and im starting to regret buying this over the 570 with real RGB, if the colors are shifting between green,pink, blue etc its gotta look horrible no?! T_T
You're supposed to put the cover over it. And they give you little spacers to help with that heat shield cover.

The hdmi port never worked. Keeps screwing up wifi, Bluetooth drivers. Bios IA dodgy. Otherwise it is great

The Intel Ethernet Controller I225V constantly keeps dissapearing, making it a garbage motherboard.

I need some help with regard to ram support for this Mobo as I am planning to buy this. I have ADATA XPG SPECTRIX D60G SERIES 16GB (8GBX2) DDR4 3600MHZ RGB Memory AX4U36008G18A-DT60 already with me. But this particular Ram model Number was not provided in the supported list for this motherboard in official Asus site. So I am confused whether to go for this motherboard since i am not sure if its gonna support the Ram I have with me.

This type of board doesn't have Bluetooth or WiFi 6 and yes it does have a USB C type port to use on the IO of the board.
If you want Bluetooth and WiFi 6 I'd recommend getting the F-Type / A-Type as that does have the features you're looking for.
Or an MSI Motherboard as they are cheaper and you're not just paying for the ROG logo.
But that's up to you if you want to pay more for WiFi & Bluetooth.

U need bios update but in some shops it doesnt. u should ask the seller if the bios is updated for Ryzen 5 5600x
Yes i bought this motherboard last week running 5600x without bios update. If box says windows 11 or 5000 series ready then no bios update is needed
