    Asana? Basecamp? Trello? What’s your favorite project management software? Comment below! I’d also love to hear any tips you have on running great meetings.

    Do you create a plan every single week? How does this plan look for continuous use? That's the roadblock I'm having.

    I've used Trello extensively before for project management, but now that I'm diving into Asana I'm starting to love it! Putting the entire meeting structure on Asana is brilliant as well and simplifies note-taking and delegation as well as shortening necessary discussion. Truly the best team productivity hack I've seen in years!

    Love it! I've used Trello in the past and now that I'm diving into Asana, it makes Trello seem like MS DOS

    I've used Basecamp, but I'm really intrigued by Asana's capabilities. Great demonstration on how to use it and what you can do with it in meetings.

    Asana is great and these meeting templates are great. Best meetings of any company or organization I've been a part of. Hands-down. Very efficient and very effective!
    There are two limitations that come to mind when running meetings like this, and I'm not sure they can be 100% resolved, though I'm curious how you'd recommend solving for them:
    1) On rare occasions, a conversation requires more time. For example, if it's a massive systems problem and you're trying to understand the nuances of where it's broken and how to fix it - thus you can't "solve" it in an I-D-S, and you have to schedule a follow-up.
    2) Introverts on the team sometimes need more space to process and add input (during I-D-S, specifically) which can mean the loudest voices set the tone for what's discussed and end up making the bulk of the decisions. I've seen this in multiple department meetings - that's why I ask.
    Any advice?

      Love these!
      1. I think there's a fallacy sometimes that everyone needs to be in on the discussion / decide by consensus. Often you can get 60% of the way to a solution and assign an owner to take it to the finish line with the ability to circle back if they have questions.
      If that doesn't work, it's probably a project (bigger than a task) and might require additional collaboration or meetings.
      2. Great point. This is why I'm a big fan of adding notes ahead of time and am somewhat strict on last minute additions (especially from extroverts) since those topics are often less thought through...thus making it hard to determine if it's the highest leverage thing to discuss.

    This is such great timing. I'm part of an international leaders network and we've been talking about meetings and management / organizational systems like Asana. I've been "bragging" about our meeting productivity at SPS :D but it's so much better to hear it from you. HA! Sharing this!

    I really like your videos. I have several saved in my Que. I will say we have been using Asana for years. I love it...for certain things. I find it isn't really a great project management tool but it is an okay task management/delegation tool. I am currently in the process of using a hybrid system of connectteam (which is what our payroll and communications software is) and Asana for specific tasks delegated and to be Followed up on in the meetings. Personally I think Asana has too many blind spots to be THE most effective software but it does work well for some aspects of our organization and not great for other aspects of what we do.

    Great video. we use Asana in our non-profit organisation for managing our events and I'm looking to start using it to run our meetings more effectively and improve overall team communication.
    I noticed in your video you have a long list of items on the agenda already. Do you get everyone to submit their agenda items ahead of the meeting or do you add these as the meeting goes on?
    Also, do you use the same "project board" for each meeting or do you create a new one each week?
    Where does your meeting notes go?

    • @ChandlerBoltOfficial
      @ChandlerBoltOfficial  4 года назад +1

      1. yep, most are submitted ahead of time but we can also add more based on #'s reporting / issues that come up
      2. yep, same project board in perpetuity
      3. the notes go inside the relevant asana task and then get converted to Who, What, Whens inside the project.
      Hope this helps!

    Hello Chandler,
    Thanks for this video. I am bringing my team onto Asana and one of my development / growth areas for this coming year is to run really good meetings and this video hits both of those goals! I am excited to put some of this into practice.
    Any chance you have a shareable Asana template for your meeting agenda and book club? I am not if sharing templates is a thing outside Asana organizations, but thought I’d ask).
    Thank you!

    • @ChandlerBoltOfficial
      @ChandlerBoltOfficial  4 года назад +1

      @@ccloew It gets checked off once the issue is solved or the thing is talked about. Or it gets moved to another project. If it's checked off, you can always go back to find it by searching in Asana. The good thing is, all notes are in the same place

    Look who I found. After taking a closer into your video it looks I found the scammer that ripped me off over $7000 USD over 3 years ago.
    Jordan Schumacher. Not sure if If he’s your employee but there is a community of people who are searching for since he scammed them and disappeared. Don’t trust him. You can keep my money, your reputation will be damaged in time. Karma sucks.
