    This is a great tutorial! The quickest, most to the point video I’ve come across yet. Life saver!!🙏🤘

    Great video man! I really hope that you go even more indepth on youtube ads similar to how you did with facebook/insta. RUclips is debatably a better website to promote your music compared to Spotify in terms of being able to communicate with fans and how much it actually pays its creators. It's something I really wanna try expanding upon and hopefully you can help out!

      You got it dude! Glad you enjoyed this video. I'm definitely planning to dig into it more in the future.

    OK, I'm giving it a try ... I did select some additional options for my audience (different music interests), still pretty broad. This was great timing for me to try this out, thanks again!

    Actually just done exactly the same thing for a music video and got the same kind of results after a week. RUclips ads seem to work well.

      I tried this and 6k views on a vid but they don’t go toward monetisation and basically screws up your averages …unless you generate subs it’s not worth it for me

    Thanks Tom, I like the idea of driving viewers to a landing page … do you think cover art videos have an advantage of an “official” music video in this case? What I would like is 1) more views of my official, and then 2) go to a landing page … 3) subscribe is a nice to have of course. I’m going to give it a try, looking forward to hearing more. And of course I just subscribed!

      Thanks for the sub! I'd get hyper-specific with your goals. Promote your video for views and then retarget for conversions to Spotify.

    Hey Tom. Are you related to Wade Thompson? I thought I saw you in a video he posted but it may have been someone who looks like you?

    Could this strategy also help drive Spotify listeners?

    • @tomdupreeiii
      @tomdupreeiii  2 года назад +3

      For sure, but I think Instagram is a better option for that than RUclips. Just my two cents.

  • @chejoseofficialTV

    Did you manage to find how many conversions actually changed into Streams Tom?

    • @tomdupreeiii
      @tomdupreeiii  2 года назад +1

      It's impossible to know since I'm simultaneously running ads on Instagram as well. Plus, we can't see that direct correlation from the data we can get from Spotify. So, unfortunately, no.

      @@tomdupreeiii couldn’t you see on the landing page where traffic is coming from, then you could find the number of visitors from youtube and divide by cost?

    Hey Tom..surley though Ad views don't go towards your total views for monetisation...?

    • @tomdupreeiii
      @tomdupreeiii  2 года назад

      I'm honestly not sure. Worth looking into. Even if they do, it's a net revenue generator for Google. There's no way to make more per view than you're spending per view with ads, so they'll win every time.

    Why not just send listeners to the platforms that has the best payouts?

    • @tomdupreeiii
      @tomdupreeiii  2 года назад +1

      Because Spotify's user base dwarfs the competition, plus their discovery algorithm is far better than everyone else. Same for RUclips. RUclips's discovery algorithm and user base are far better and bigger than the others.

    • @MaPa60
      @MaPa60 2 года назад

      @@tomdupreeiii Yes, Spotify market share is 31%, but RUclips is at 8% compared to Amazon at 13% and Apple Music at 15%. And their payouts are better. What do we know about the platforms’ discovery algorithms alltogether?

      Late as hell. But the whole planet uses youtube. And you dont need to downlpad an app om the android platform its already installed and website direct is also available. You dont need a gmail account to watch vids. Helps with algos tho.

    Hey do you know how my google ad is getting me high views and a high average watch-time but 0% likes or subscribes........im averaging 2 minuites average watch time for a 3 minuites song ((so with that math im pretty sure that would mean a couple people would like or subscribe)) but its at 0 likes or subscribe eventhough its 66% average watch time and over 1k views..seems kinda bot cause if average watch time is 66% of a dang video how could it be 0 likes/subscribes with over 1k new views...help please
