If you have the Sony Experia Z then you can try this. First go to settings, then click about phone, next find at the very bottom a tab that says build number. Tap it a few times ( like 5-6) the first time you hit it, it'll say your close to being a developer. Tap it until it says your a developer now. Then just go back once and above about phone you will see an option that says developer options. Then you can explore. Hope it helps

i had the same issue after updating to KitKat. Later I read forums where Xperia Z users were discouraged from updating to that version..well, it was a tad too late for me. There were suggestions of doing a factory reset, but you gotta back up your apps and other important stuff. So I tried it and I must say that my battery life has since been better than it was.Oh and the processor area does not heat up like it did when I'd just installed 4.2.2 PS: a factory reset worked for some like me...I don't know about the rest.

its not a secerit its not even hidden its the service menu and all androids have it and if you go to android market you can download the app that will make the icon for it visable its called xperia service menu

works fine on the Z5 compact although when I tested the speakers there was no sound coming out of them, the phone is fine and only had i 3 days
